I got the Motorla Razr GSM version running Artic Rom 3,0,0. I also installed the simplicity theme and i'm fairly happy, but in the recent week the official ICS rom was realesed here in Sweden and I upgraded my brother's stock Razr. And I'm sold, I just need ICS now on my own phone! Only question is how to do it and is there even any custom rom for ICS gms phones? Can't seem to find any. Cuz I still need wifi/gps toggels in the statusbar, 1% battery mod, deoxed and stuff like that.
Could I flash this and it would work?: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/3368-romrazr-gsm-the-arctic-ics/
It seems perfect for me except it misses a battery % mod.
Here is my system specification:

Whats a good 2.3.4 rom that has somewhat good battery life, One that is very fast gets good linepack/Quadrant scores, And lastly a rom in 2.3.4 that is stable.
If anyone could point me towards a Rom like this it would be very much appreciated.
I wouldn't use a 2.3.4 ROM yet, not all the kernels are compatible with it. It could bork WiFi, camera, etc., since the kernel source for 2.3.4 hasn't been released by HTC yet. Also, there isn't much of a difference if you're just gonna be running a custom ROM on it.
Alright thanks for the tip so right now I'm on the stock 2.3.4 rooted ROM I can just convert back to a 2.3.3 ROM without any issues if I'm correct?

I'm using Synergy lastest build, just use subversion and keep up w/ every change and add your own stuff to the apps and take out those you don't want.
Plus the new wifi tether beta5 works so got all my functionality back.
Hi,
Haven't messed around with my phone too much since I installed an early ish version of the Lightening rom which I really like. But would like to upgrade to ICS but keep the blue and black theme. Is there a rom out there that can do this?
Wait for ICS release when devs and themers are able to build new versions .
Or take the time to read the description of each ICS custom rom .
jje
I have Straight Talk,
4.0.4
kernel 3.0.8
build
IMM76D.UCLF6
I also have SU and CM 5.5
Wondering what Rom will give me the best performance (battery a life +) , do I need to have a different kernel to upgrade to JB? What about a different BL , it was a royal time waster upgrading my Acer A500 from GB to ICS , Does it even matter being on Straight Talk , I mean just the ATT roms work fine , but I like to experiment , I dont want to go hog wild because this is the only fone I got right now and I need it , but a custom rom is always better!
Can you guys tell me about the kernels to roms and if I stay with a stock kernel can use what roms (I mean with 4.0.4 this ICS ,how do I go about JB?) i KNOW i FEEL LIKE A NOOB HERE, but its different ,plus Ive been doing winfone 7 for 2 years , just got to get back into it!

At this time i am losing 1 to 1.5% battery while sitting idle , without anything running
would appreciate some help
even if it means moving to JB altogether , plz guide me regarding that as well.
thanks
AW: what do you suggest ?? I am on ICS
For ICS based Roms (XT912) have an look here
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php?/topic/1171-Look-Here-For-All-Available-Roms#entry21091
Also you should have an look @ the Dev section of Droidrzr, there you'll find the Dualboot Method for ICS <>JB without apply the whole OTA. On that way you can always flash back to ICS and you'll be able to use all Roms in the List.
An best Rom is related to your needs. You'll have to find it by Crackflashing your Device or read the Threads.

Just as a quick intro, I'm not a total noob, but I'm no expert either. I had an OG Droid that I rooted and had installed several ROMS before upgrading to a Droid Razr. I decided to root this one also and I'm running CM 10.1.3 with JellyBean X kernel, all installed with Safestrap.
I had some issues with my baseband not working properly with CM, so I decided to try to install a clean version of Jelly Bean to see if that helped the problem. The ROM I was going to download required me to install BMM 3.0.4 which I did. Once that was done, I rebooted and lo and behold the phone booted into the original Verizon version of Jelly Bean. At this point I have not installed anything but BMM. Why did this happen? I thought I had done a wipe when I installed CM. Is this because I installed CM into a second slot and now BMM is booting to the original slot? As far as I know, CM is still on the phone somewhere. How can I get back to it? Is it going to be a problem as far as phone performance to have both of them on the system at the same time?
Finally, like everyone else, my goal is to get the best performance out of this phone. I would like to avoid the stock ROM due to all the bloatware. Is the clean JB a good option? Will this fix the baseband problem (poor to no service)? Is there a baseband fix I can use in conjunction with CM?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
Not sure if you are just looking @ AOSP ROMs, but I've done well with the bionx ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45291834:
Its stock based, haven't had any issues and its different with some Xperia launcher and whatnot. Has a lot of options/tweaks in dashboard app as well..
