Hello everyone,
Yesterday, I just bought this decent tablet.
http://www.elonex.com/index.php/etouch-tablet-765et.html
Everything works fine but I can not find a tool or application or any guide to root my Tablet on the internet.
So I was wondering can i try to root my tablet with UnlockRoot? I mean is there any risk to brick my tablet during the process of rooting? I really don't want to brick my 1 day old tablet, but rooting gives you much more options to improve performance and lot's of other stuff.
Sorry for my bad english
Cheers!

HI everyone,
I know that this thread has been read and discussed probably many many times. But i know that the phone i have i probably the toughest one to root. I've searched a lot of sites ( unlockers, wiki android, xda and many more) for answers and i have to admit that i've tried only one, the one with goldcard(my rooting process stopped when i tried to flash the recovery and it said that there was sort of a mistake, i don't remember what exactly. I'm not saying that i haven't tried all of the possibilities to root my phone but i'm just asking all of You forum users to help me choose the right one so i won't worry to damage my phone somehow.
Looking forwards to hearing frm You people.
p.s.
I know that user: kad3t had the same problem and he somehow managed to root his phone, i've written him a message but he isn't answering so that is why i'm asking You.
This is the guide I followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645253
I'm rooted and my phone is still alive
PS -- these types of threads belong in either the General or Q&A sections
Thank You very much. And for the future i'll post that kind of threads in the right forum sections
cheers mate
Thread moved to Q&A.
I want to root my tablet. I updated to the new touch wizard. Is it still possible to root my tab? Please respond guys I need help.
Well as you have posted in the 10.1v forums I'm going to assume that you had to root and unlock the bootloader in order to even I install the TW rom.
If you don't have a 10.1v then I'm afraid this is the wrong section to be looking for help in.

Hello fellow members of XDA developers';
I am Kaan from Turkey. I'm working as a software development expert in a Turkish company we are mainly using PHP, Java and C# for development. I've been following XDA developers forums for a while and I have to say there are many talented people around here and I need your help now!
I own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a ZTE Web Tab (a.k.a Vodafone Smart Tab). The ICS os working perfectly on my Galaxy Nexus and my tablet has Gingerbread installed on it (and with lots of GSM operator apps I don't want ). I want to ROOT and then update my tablet to ICS but I have near to no knowledge about these devices. I've successfully managed to flash my Nokia 5800XM with Nokia C5 OS and I have a little bit experience about how it's actually done. Combined with my software development knowledge I've never bricked a device yet.
So I'm asking, is it possible to Root and then install ICS on my ZTE Web Tab? If it is, how?
I'm not 100% sure how to root it but to remove the carrier branded apps you have to use root explorer to remove them from /system/app

Exactly. What you need to do is some searching/reading & learning on your own.
Reported post for user not searching/reading and wanting to be spoon fed.
Rule #1 is to use the Search function.
This phone is not new by any means, so that answers are all out there. Just look in the General, Q&A and Development Stickies and the answers you will find.

1) the brick bug is only there on stock 4.0.4 firmware kernel for u so on JB ur safe for now
2) u can root ur phone without installing a custom firmware for sure
3) of course rooting will always have an elemantary risk for sure, but u have to see to it that, why do i require a root in the first place
No (Ask a ridiculous question, get a ridiculous answer).
You really need to learn 'the basics' before you do anything to your phone or you will break it. Read the threads stickied at the top of Q&A, and also read the threads linked in the Stickies thread third post from the top in General.
The questions you've asked have been asked/answered here thousands of times over the past two years, and the answers are in those threads. If anyone serves you up simple answers without you understanding what you're doing, you're going to end up with an expensive plastic paperweight like countless people before you.
Thanks for your answers.

But MistahBungle , i wasn't planning to root my phone right now. And i know i am not ready yet. Those are questions that popped into my mind when i began to read some documentation on rooting and custom firmwares yesterday and i didn't find any answers to those. Sorry if i bothered you.
Anyway thanks again for your help.
