[Q] LED not working properly on Jelly Bean - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Disclaimer: yes I'm a noob, so please be nice
I know Jelly Bean is new and everything, but honestly, the CM10 ROM that is being worked on by Emerson is really amazing, and the only main bug I have found is the lack of ability for third party apps to consistently control the notification LED.
I have Go SMS Pro, and it has the option to set different LED colors for different people (works fine on Gingerbread). Unfortunately, it doesn't work so great on Jelly Bean. I have heard a few people have had some success with LightFlow, but I can't honestly get LightFlow to work consistently either––plus it seems to drain the battery somewhat. I'd prefer just to use the stock Go SMS Pro options than another app, but if someone can get me set up properly with LightFlow that'd be cool too.
Or, could someone just PM me when the JB notification LED option gets fixed?

[Q] UNLIMITED rom - stock phone app

I have installed UNLIMITED custom rom (locked BL) which I really like - so much faster than stock.
I do however, like the the look and feel of the stock phone (making and receiving calls) and contacts.
Would it just be a case of replacing /system/app/Phone.apk and Contacts.apk with the stock ones (and then, I guess reboot/delete dalvik cache)? If so, does anybody have them?
(sk17i - mini pro)
thanks!
Ok. So I've decided to ditch UNLIMITED.. it never felt quite right on my mini pro:
mobile signal sometimes seemed get lost during sleep, and takes a long time to recover it again on wake, and sometimes even needed a manual scan
the LED notification fix was a bit flakey (sometimes it would blink for SMSs, sometimes it wouldn't)
setting a ringtone for a contact didn't work (all contacts ring with the system default tone)
That said, it was definitely a nice smooth and fast ROM. Very nippy, and no bloat. I would stick with MiniCMSandwich Lite AOSP if you're after that though - Even though it's quite dated now, it's more stable.
Personally, I much prefer the Sony stock look and feel over AOSP, especially the dialler and contacts app, so I've ended up going for Official 4.1.B.0.587 as its a handy flashable ZIP and is rooted, together with Ultimate Notification LED fix for Xperia. I've gone through and removed the bloat, and so far all is running nice and smooth, and most importantly, the LED notification works fully now :highfive:
It's not quite as fast and smooth as UNLIMITED / MiniCMSandwich, but I'm hoping a custom kernel like MESA and some tweaks might help that.

[Q] Changing LED color on CM9

Hi guys,
could anyone explain me how to set different notification LED color for different apps? Back at CM7 it was quite easy as I remeber, but I can't find this option in CM9 at all. Is this option even there? I really wasn't able to find it nor I could google a way to do this in CM9.
Thanks.
P.S.: I know Lightflow or similar applications are capable of doing this, but I was just used to a fact that CM can do it itself

How much flashing is one flash too much?

I still haven't made a full transition to 4.2. I think its overrated. I took the fullscreen camera apk and loaded it on and will do the same with gmail 4.2 if I ever need pinch to zoom. The toggles and notifications are split between two notification screens, brightness filter so that slider which is conveniently placed in notification bar only shows a range of brightness that I want. Wakelocks controlled. My 4.1.2 is set up ideally. Amazing battery life, functionality, simplicity ease. All my apps are inverted. I don't think I will upgrade for a while.
You guys?
I kept my 4.1.2 setup for quite some time too till I got a fully working, stable 4.2.1 for my device by the same brilliant developer. I saw absolutely no reason not to upgrade then.
But no, I wouldn't ditch my fully functional, well setup 4.1.2 ROM for an alpha 4.2.1 ROM just to have the latest version. I'd wait till it's fully functional before switching.

Google Plus Hangout Volume Too Low?

Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy S2X from Koodo (same as the Hercules in Tmobile), and when I was using the stock touchwiz rom, google plus hangout was working fine, but when I use a MIUI or CM10 stable ROMs, google plus hangout volume is really really low. I can hear the other people very quietly, but they can hear me fine. I went to settings, and maxed all the volume settings, and still I can't hear them well. I searched about this on google and many other people seem to have this problem, but I couldn't find any solution. Every thread just ended without any solution. And Google doesn't really reply in their forum. I hate to go back to Touchwiz rom, as I hate the look of status bar where the battery icon is green, and everything is ugly in my opinion. I like the minimalistic look of MIUI status bar, and CM10 or AOKP with minimal theme that makes it look clean.
I really hope someone can help me.
Thanks SO much!

[Q] I want to go back to a GB ROM, but need some ICS/JB features - please advise

Hi all,
I only now use my X10 as my secondary phone - I use it when I go running to track my running stats with the GPS etc, so that if I drop it and break it, it's not a big deal!
For the last few months I've been using this AOSP 4.2.2 ROM on there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2197387
I think this ROM is amazing, but it does have a tendency to slow down to a crawl when I am out and running my Endomondo running app.
So I have decided I want a Gingerbread ROM again, probably Feralabs, but there are some features in ICS/JB that I was wondering if had been ported across?
Specifically, I want to be able to add the custom message to the home screen. I like this feature, as I can put my name and phone number in there in case I do lose the phone and anyone finds it (obviously relying on the fact that they wish to return it to me!!)
Also, I want the WiFi icon in the toolbar to have the activity arrows. In GB ROMs I've used, it's always just a static icon.
Is there any Gingerbread ROM which has a launcher which supports these two functions?
Many thanks for any advice.
Alex
Bump....nothing??
Have both those features on my XPERIA S, but don't know of any XPERIA X10i GB ROM that has those features.... and I've tried a few.
Thanks for the reply
Likewise, I also have those features on the Xperia S, but in JellyBean.
The wifi one sounds silly, but I actually rely on the activity arrows a lot as my wifi plays up so often. Whereas in Gingerbread is just sits there with the icon and you have no idea if data is being sent or received.
The message on the homescreen feature I always use in ICS/JB, it's a shame it appears it cannot be done in GB ROMs.

Not that is can't be done, just that I don't know of any GB ROM that has it.
Check X10 themes and Apps posts, you never know your luck.
