And to the ones with root not showing up, can you 'ls /system/xbin' from adb and paste the results?

I cant activate google for the market with this nor the stock rom. I even did *228.
Any suggestions?

Girlfriends Fascinate just decided to randomly stop doing anything except showing lights on soft keys after rooting and lag fix. Decided if I've got to restore should try this. First flash I got stuck at a similar issue after VZW logo. Wiped data and cache and was able to boot but entered in to FC hell. Working on flashing back to stock Odin posted in other thread as we speak.
Update: realized I had only wiped data and not cache as well. after doing that was able to flash back to stock, trying this once more.
Update 2: No go, still FCing like crazy. Flashing back to stock.

I had the same issue. Install stock and then Angels. Wipe cache only and it should work. If you cant activate Google do a reset in settings and all is fine.
I'm sorry, but that's exactly what I experienced rooting and running the lag fix on a Vibrant. There is something flawed with the lag fix. I don't know what it is, but this is the 4th experience I've read about that's the exact same as mine.
Could Samsung change the file system with an OTA update? Is that even possible?

All the lag fixes have some issues right now. The best lag fix will come once samsung releases the source code for our phones. See here: http://project-voodoo.org/

I recommend using odin and falling up's odin files. I'd link you, but my phone doesn't link.
First I apologize because this should go in the development thread, but I don't have enough posts to post in there.
So I followed creepyncrawly's guide to flash UCLE Stock ICS with root. I was coming from Rootbox v2.2.
Unfortunately, I forgot to wipe before flashing. Also, before I removed the usb plug from the phone, ODIN read "Removed!".
And now the phone gets stuck at the AT&T load screen. I can't turn off the phone, except by removing the battery, it will simply reboot. I can get into download mode. I tried flashing again, but same issue.
Should I try wiping then flash again, or may this brick my phone?
Thank you in advance.

Yea I realized again wrong thread, but I can't move it. Sorry.
And are you sure that a wipe is a good idea? Creepyncrawl's post says not to wipe with that kernel installed due to the eMMC Superbrick Bug.

Yes it did. I actually wasn't planning on doing the wipe and reset for fear of the brick. But I did it accidentally while searching through options in 3me recovery. It rebooted and went straight in, no brick. I'll definitely take your advice in the future. Thanks again.

Hey folks,
So just got my replacement Galaxy from AT&T (had last phone rooted/ROMed fine). Anyways, followed the directions to root using Odin3 from the Sticky. Everything seemed to have worked fine, it said PASS but after restarting the phone I have the following issue:
Shows me the new phone setup screen but keeps displaying the following message....
1. The application Google Services Framework (proccess.com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
This keeps popping up and when I click the Android it just takes me to the next screen but it won't load properly.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!
Boot into recovery and reflash.

Okay, so here's my problem solving steps. Flash from cyanogen9 to this, everything works except wifi. Yes, I wiped the cache/dalvik cache. Okay, I figure I messed something up. I factory reset, then flash again. Still isn't working. Yes, I read the FAQ. Yes, I followed the steps there. I'm running the 10/2 rom.
I'm not an overly technical person. It's an open wifi network, but requires authentication(university network) in browser to use. It worked with my last rom, and in this one it will say(in chrome) you're being redirected, do you want to redirect or not? I say yes, and nothing. No other browser will even get that far. Yes, I've entered the site I have to go to in order to register my phone.

Yes, it does. And wifi isn't a reported problem with the ROM. I'm wondering if there's anything I can try to fix it with. It appears to hang, it connects to the network and then sends a little data, then stops working.
No where in your post did I see u say u did a full wipe. Which means wiping the /system partition as well as using the kernel cleaning script if all else fails. Maybe try that?

That was included in the factory reset, when I said that I mean literally to how I got it the first time. Wiped everything, placed stock rom(with root enabled to be able to flash stuff), then back up the chain.
I apologize for not being more clear, it's been a long day for me and I'm going to bed soon.

I either flashed them or they came with the rom, because the default bootloaders with the original rom didn't allow you to flash anything higher than 2.3 I believe. It's been a long time since I read about it, I just had the files on my computer to bring it back to stock(plus root to flash stuff).
To be clear, I'm not sure if I did or not, but I remember the rom I used for this is stock plus root so I can flash stuff. Hell, it might have been my captivate that I had to flash a new bootloader on. I can't remember, and I apologize again for the confusion.
U never have to flash boot loaders. In fact it's actually best not to IMO. Which ones did u flash?

The odin bit here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311081
is what I used. The stock kernel, plus root.
As for cycling the routers, I can't as this is at my university where I have no access to be able to do such things. I emailed them as well, although seeing as it was friday night when I did, I can't exactly get a response back until later today(monday). That's why I came on here to see if it was a reported problem.
I appreciate everyone taking the time to assist me.
Hey guys, thanks in advance for the help.
So, I was coming from one of the earlier Hyperdrive ROM versions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41989203#post41989203, and flashing to the newest version. Following the instructions, I used TWRP (Loki'd, obviously) to format data, system, cache, and dalvik. Apparently, formatting also wiped my internal-sdcard, where the download was located... So now, I'm stucked with nothing to flash. I can access ODIN mode, but cannot find a stock image for the Verizon GS4. I downloaded the newest Hyperdrive onto my computer, but I cannot get adb to recognize the device. Also, TWRP is now telling me that my phone is not rooted.
Can someone please help? I need this phone working NOW.
Thanks again.

Okay, I used Odin to flash the VRUAMDK_NoWipe.tar.md5, PDA only. Odin says it succeeded and attempted to restart the phone. The phone is stuck on the SAMSUNG screen, with the Custom, unlocked icon below.
Any ideas?
I am now going to try flashing http://www.rwilco12.com/Files/Devic.../SCH-I545_MDK_562219_Stock_Restore.tar.md5.gz using Odin, referenced from this thread:

After you stuck on the Samsung boot screen, you could've tryed pulling the battery, and then manually go into recovery, and do a factory data reset. Maybe fix permissions, clear cache and davlick. Should boot then.

would have been easier to boot into recovery again and adb push the rom image to your phone then flash. adb should have worked in recovery even with the wipe. glad you got it working though
