I'm running cyanogen and this is annoying the hell out of me as well. the speaker on the back is amazingly quiet. It was the same with every version rom/android I've put on this thing. I'd switch to a particular one if the need be, to fix this problem. DSPmanager only slightly improves things.
Mort player has an equalizer option, and after setting the sliders all the way up gives me a much improved volume. Just use the sliders judiciously so that the sound does not flutter. Its a tiny speaker after all, so can't expect much.
Can u install dspmanager on nookie emmc rom??
the sound on the mxx is not as loud as it was before the recent update. i tried #program, but am unfamiliar with the settings. anyone know if i can boost the sound? thx
Is there any way that I can install xloud or something equivalent to increase the speaker volume? It is very low and the ringtones are barely audible outside.
You can flash xLoud or Beats Audio enhancement by

doesn't work
This is not compatible for the FXP CM10. The only problem i've ever had with CM ROMs is the low volume. I use viper4android, and I while it improves sound quality overall, it still does not amplify the speaker volumes like stock ROM does. Unfortunate!

Hello,
I have recently replaced the backcover of my Xperia Z2
and because i made a mistake one speaker is broken now. Stereo does not work. This ist not a huge problem for me but after the 6.0 Update (i am running eXistenZ 5.0.0) the Ringtone Volume is way lower than the Volume of the same mp3 file player as when played music with the music app. It is so low that i am not able to hear it with all the enviromental noise. This is apparently not a bug but rather a protection from Sony to not harm you wars if someone would call you during a call where you had your phone close to your ears. I am wondering if a custom tom would fix this problem. I tried to boost the volume of the mp3 with audacity and enabeld ClearAudio+ in the settings but after boosting it wasn't really louder , just more distorted. I even tried it with a tasker task to play my Ringtone as a music but the voulme wasn't increased. Is there any rom to fix this. I have twrp installed so installing a rom would not be a problem.
With kind regards

It is a bit lower than the s8 plus I have
Yep it's low. Something is wrong (software problem).
I downloaded a few notifications from zedge and there loud but as soon as you use it as a notification it's very low.
Even Samsung own notification sounds are low.
It's really bugging me tbh
I have it to looks like a software problem

Yes it's not very clear at all
+1 here.
Same here too
All notification sounds are really low. Very hard to hear it if you are in a different room. How can we report this issue to Samsung?
this is very annoying. I cant hear any whatsapp notifications because sound is too low!
Guys is there a way to report this ?
I haven't experienced this problem. But I also immediately turned on Atmos when I got my phone and when I did, I noticed that it made the speakers louder.
Maybe there comes a mod to make the speakers louder i have turned atmos on but i don't hear any difference.

Atmos works perfect during Video/music playback.
It's notification sounds that are not very clear and very low in volume.
I watched an episode of walking dead on my phone the other day and enabled atmos and it sounded great I'm pleased with that function.
Yes, I have the same problem, volume for notifications are very low, surely it's a software problem because the speaker is loud for ringtones and other source of sounds.
