Unfortunately you can't do anything to make it work on GSM.

sim port
can i do that
put a full housing off and put on fror a gsm evo 3d?

He was being sarcastic (hence the head bang smiley). There isn't a way to make a CDMA phone sim card compatible.

with Tapatalk 2 it will work?I do not know enything about anroid phones so sorry bothering you.....
thanks a lot...

What your asking is impossible mate, you may possibly be able to take the phone apart and see of its possible to switch to a gsm network simcard, but then you will also need to convert system ril files to gsm ones, then switch cdma cid with your country and carrier gsm cid, aswell as the gsm radio/firmware but, even then its not guaranteed to work, what you have in retrospect is an iPhone 4 with the features of an ipod touch 3rd gen
See if you can trade on eBay or similar cdma straight swop for a gsm

is there a way to make it work in greece then or not?
I am sorry guys.....i am an idiot i know but i love this phone from the moment i got it into my hands.....

Final answer is no no no
Signature (Don't ask me for help, couldn't careless if your phone explodes)

I don't think you can, cdma and gsm handle the radio waves needed differently so a cdma phone can't access a gsm network

Or you could move to the united states and then your phone will work

[Q] Is it possible to unlock this phone?

I live in Denmark (Europe), so the phone has not arrived yet, but when it does I am pretty sure it will be very expensive. The American version (Non Sprint) isn't that cheap either, but it is cheaper, so I have been thinking of buying one and then getting it unlocked.
Is this actually possible, when it doesn't have a SIM card? I found a website which will unlock the phone and I think actually give me the right network?
Website: htcimeiunlock.com/htc-evo-3d-unlock
Well this is just my question, is this actually possible?
Thanks and best regards

Yes it can be flashed to various cdma carriers. I.e. boost, metro, cricket .... Etc
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
but the short answer is no because your European carrier is most likely gsm and therefore not compatible with the CDMA Sprint EVO 3D

Or get the sensation. It's the EVO with everything but the 3D

I do not understand why it's unlock-able, when it's still not possible to use it in other countries that use GSM. Whats the use in unlocking it then? Sorry, but I know nothing about this stuff.

Well that could work too...But the 3vo still runs better than it...
Either way, you'd have to unlock the Sensation from Tmobile then.

Rezound sim free

Hello everybody I am from Romania, Europe I want to buy from ebay an htc rezound. I have htc desire hd.
I have one big question , I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I will.
If my rezound is locked on verzion I can make it SIM FREE ( UNLOCK it or something like it I want to use another sim not a verzion one)
Is this possible anyone can help me regarding this problem?
No, The Simcard in the Rezound is only so it can access Verizons LTE 700Mhz Channel.. It does not have a regular GSM radio.
So no you can not use it over seas or on any other network
To bad thx for your quick reply
Any Lte device in America will be incompatible. Maybe an at&t phone will work but you could only get 3g or hspa+.
Lte world phones won't be out for quite a while.

[Q] Verizon HTC ThunderBolt adr6400L

Is it possible to use this phone on 3g networks? I want to buy it, but in my country there is not 4g network, only 3g...
dependent on the type of 3g network, yes
That' s great news , but what dependencies are relevant for it to work on 3g? Frequency of the network, or something else?
It has to be CDMA.
But could it also work on GSM? I have done a search on this, and found this pictures where you can select GSM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1512138 .
Then I found this article:http://www.htcthunderbolt4g.com/htc-thunderbolt-general-discussion/htc-thunderbolt-unlock-to-work-with-gsm/ .
So, can I insert some radio, or change rom, or software, to make it somehow work on GSM network?
For the USA..... Since its a Verizon phone you would have to call Verizon and have them unlock it.... It cost money..... I would call Ur provider in the country u r in and ask them if it will work..... Just a fyi....... The thunderbolt is already out classed(IMO).... Get a newer phone like the razr or nexus.........
Hope it helps

[Q] Is Photon 4G CDMA or GSM?

Hi, id like to know if the Photon 4G is CDMA or GSM with a Sim Card Slot? because im about to buy one from amazon and id like to know if it is one or both and how to recognize which one is it
It is both, it uses the sim for GSM and uses CDMA without the sim. You cant use a domestic sim for GSM, for now atleast.

Meaning you can't take a sim card from AT&T or another GSM provider within the US and plug it into Photon and expect it to work. Its locked out for GSM in the US. It works internationally though.
The 4g is Wimax !!!

LOL I totally had that typed out ready to post before I reread and saw that he meant the phone and not specifically the 4g. Unless I just misinterpreted that completely lol, which would make it the second time

I have just bought an unlocked Sprint unit from ebay, hoping to use the GSM slot for my primary pre-paid line in Nigeria, and the CDMA slot for one of the CDMA providers in Nigeria as well. I plan to take the unit to be programmed into a CDMA network in Nigeria; that will cost me about US$50. Meanwhile, I successfully rooted and flashed ParanoidROM JB, but I saw that it showed no GSM signal at all with the JB ROM, so I restored the original GB 2.3.5 Nandroid backup. There seems to be very little documentation on how the dual system works. Will I be able to use both the CDMA and GSM together, in a dual-standby fashion, in Nigeria?
I flashed the KDDI radio and cm10 and have used my MoPho on T-Mobile.
Don't forget to thank all who help!
