Connect the jetflash to a powered USB hub and then connect the hub to the handset, it should work. Cheers !

any idea ? its possible view the files in the USB flash drive directly in my phone?
You need a sony otg cable, I have the same problem.
Search google for xperia u otg cable or go to a few shops with your phone and pen drive and try different cables.

Some pendrives may give you the excessive power consumption error. if that's the case, you should get something like a Sandisk 16gb like I did as it works pretty good.
Use an USB OTG cable to connect your pendrive to the mobile. Try to use a thumb drive as they use less power so you won't be getting a power consumption error.
After the usb is mounted, open the Astro file manager available on stock rom and browse to '/mnt/usbdisk' you'll find the files on your pendrive there..
I used 16GB USB stick/microSD adapter and it didnt worked, works fine with 8GB
If you get the power consumption error at least you know the cable works, its only when you get no response you know you got a bad cable. I bought a 16gb sandisk for €9 and it works. Should be cheaper in other regions.

So to get around the power consumption error we just need to drop in a powered USB hub?

You need file manager for that. I use ES file manager. To see your files you need to open "featured" and you'll see "/mnt/usbdisk". Thats it.
in download menu (+ - volume (+) power button ) usb can recognize in xp but can't in win 7 ? whyy

if it works in xp, then why don't you flash by booting your pc in xp!!
This has happened to me before as well. For me it was because I have several different USB ports in my computer: two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0. It only worked in the USB 3.0 ports.

You might need to use a powered USB hub or a cable with an Y-splitter to provide external power to the hdd.
I can't speak for the Z3TC but my htc one m8 can read my usb ssd without external power but cannot power my usb hdd - it spins up then clicks off again straight away

Can you also write to the external HDD? I got a nexus 9 today but it's going back because of light bleed and volume button problems.
It's a toss-up between that and the Z3TC so I may swap it.
Yeah you can write on it., make sure your hard drive is in fat32 or exfat because ntfs is not supported. Also make sure to use file commander if you're not rooted as this will give you full access

Has someone tried to use USB OTG with CM12?
Doesn't seem to work for me at all (dmesg showing no USB related output) except the USB port is unusable (no charging, no connection to PC) after plugging in an OTG cable until i reboot the device.

Maby it is because u use usb OTG apps that aren't desigend for CM12 Scorpion Windy Kernel,
Got the same question, Is there already an app for this?
Im trying to edit kernel myself, and make USB OTG work, Maby there is already something like this for CM12 Scorpion Windy?
If dmesg doesn't show anything, I doubt any app would help

EDIT: reverted to stock FW; USB host working - so yes, this is a CM12 issue
Hey guys,
To confirm, I bought the OTG Y cable and that's how I made it work. I'm using the Nexus import program works great, but you can only transfer to the internal drive not to the SD. To get your files to the SD use the file commander app that comes with the tablet.
Also, the trick to use the OTG Y cable, you connect the HDD and the power to the OTG Y cable, and then plug it to the tablet, if not it doesn't boot up correctly or tablet won't read it.
