Yes you can do this because Cyanogenmod is open source and allows you to modify the source code for use in other projects and applications. The source code for Cyanogenmod can be found here https://github.com/CyanogenMod. The repository (Source code) for the keyboard can be found here https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_packages_inputmethods_LatinIME.

It's not technically required but it would be the right thing to do. To integrate all your files (Java, XML, and strings) I recommend using an IDE such as Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org).

Use Eclipse to include this in your project.

Im running the latest version 3.4.5 on my note 2 and I can see that Snote is present in the rom except for the Splanner. What i can suggest since its based on samsung rom, you can use Titanium backup to backup the Scalender and the Samsung app store from another rom and restore it in MIUI. Im not sure if this will work or if it will cause any issues so i suggest you do a nand backup before you proceed.

Hello everyone.I'm new here and this is first post.Today I ported LewaOS from Samsung Galaxy Ace to my Live with Walkman and it's working very well with absolutely no bugs.So I would like to suggest me some changes about this ROM before making it public likec:
1.By default it has a chinese Superuser app inside so I think it would be much better if I change this to Superuser from CM.
2.It has a chinese marketplace so I am going to remove it.
3.Should I include gapps in the ROM or not?
4.Should I tweak the ROM or leave it as it is.
Please help me with these simple questions because I'm new to XDA and I want to make you enjoy my works.
Screenshots will be uploaded soon!Stay Tuned!
3 - hmmm, it will be better if u not include it. why? rom will be lighter
4 - tweaks are ok, but write what tweaks u used and with wath are they compatybile (for e.g crossbreeder don`t like seeder)

Of course it will be released for all MDPI devices but I have only Live with Walkman so I can't test it in the other devices.
Hi again. The ROM is odexed so should I deodex it first or leave it as it is?
Hello to all!
What I ask today is really a really great thing.
Given that there are so many ROMs around and it is difficult to choose the best, I would ask: what are the tools (all all) that we must have in order to create a new ROM or a maximum change it?
I await your help, advice
Just google or youtube how to create a rom and u will know it. Its easy to create a rom. But hard to debug and maintain it.
