Has anyone tried to connect Xperia S to a DAC/AMP like the FiiO E7 using and OTG cable? I think USB audio will be integrated in JB, but i've heard that Samsung Galaxy S3 can be connected to a DAC with ICS and it's working fine. I would test it myself, but i'm still waiting for my OTG cable to arrive and i was wondering if anyone has tried this?

Hello Everyone,
So I've been seeking ways to do video out on the Thunderbolt besides DLNA. I came across a device called "Sewell HDdeck USB to HDMI Converter". I would post a link but I cannot do so yet.
It's an adapter that has a port for standard USB and the other port is HDMI. Does anyone know if something like this would work?
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HDMI-Cable-microUSB/dp/ B004H9XXZY
Think this would work
I don't believe this will work - If you notice it indicates it only works with the Samsung Galaxy S, which has a special multi function port - it is an enhanced USB that has additional connectors for the HDMI.
So has anyone any experience? There should be on 4.0 this ability, or not? As I know Galaxy S3 has it.
No one tried connection USB DAC?
I think we need usb-host which our phone might be capable of http://usbhost.chainfire.eu (depends on hardware or kernel, i forget which, maybe both). I'll try it with a usb and see if it powers on.
So has anyone tried connecting USB DACS? For example fiio e17, pico slim, ibasso d12, etc?
Hey Guys,
I recently purchased the official S3 HDMI (MHL) cable (11pins)
I connected it correctly to my TV, it worked fine but the audio is coming from my phone not from my TV. Tried everything but it does not seem to work
any ideas?
Thanks
Use an s2 cable as it use 5 pins

Does that mean the 11 pins cable does not support audio output?

I have a few dacs that will work from my note2, but haven't found a good cable yet.

I use this one ...
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10833&cs_id=1083314&p_id=9724&seq=1&format=2
and it works fine with my Note 3 and my HLLY SMK-III external DAC.
I have several, does not need to be USB 3.0 (and in fact USB 3.0 only like to add problems as many DACs currently in existence will only work with USB 2.0).
Thanks I'll try the monoprice cable

MT2-L05 outputs in DTS if I remember correctly. Does your bifrost support DTS ( I'm sure for the price of them it must do )
DTS just changes sound equalizer in headphones.. Strange thing, when I connect phone to bifrost, it loses USB connectivity for a minute or so, after that it comes back. I tried that with USB mouse, plunging it in straight to otg cable after dac. Could it be that DAC droves too much current? If so what can be done about that?
