External micro sd card question - HTC Amaze 4G

Why when I have an external 2gb micro sd card installed it doesn't show ROMs I download in ES File Manager like it does without it in, just shows up in ES but not with the downloaded ROM?

If you look under ES File manager, you will see a folder called ext_sd. Click it. You will then see the contents of your SD Card.
Also, this should be in the Q&A.

Nothing meant here but maybe you shouldve posted in Q and A cuz it couldve got maybe more attention. Anyways yea try and format it in the phone like Hasoon and Sports said. Because it could be that you dont have right file type on your sd card for your phone to read it. My sd card i believe is FAT32 if that helps you.

Yeah sorry about that guys being in wrong area but for some odd reason after rebooting my phone after having it in for a couple of days, it finally shows the downloads also if whom ever can please close this post and again thanks guys

I had the same issue one time and it is because the name of the rom I download directly with my phone was just '' .zip '' . I think theres an option in the parameters of ES that allow you to show the type of the files.

Question about ADB using Mac OSX

Trying to use adb on a Mac OSX 10.7.3. Downloaded it and installed it correctly, but my phone is not detected. Adb opens the port correctly, and my phone is set to charge only, USB Debugging enabled.
Is there an extra driver I should install for Mac? Pretty sure HTC only had drivers for Windows.
Phone mounts correctly when on Storage Mode =/
Just for clarity I installed the tools and Android support from the SDK manager
You're 1st word in the subject line says it all..

Serious posts only please. I am not trying to start one of those dumb PC vs Macs fights.
Hey guys for those who use Macs, I FOUND THE SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM! I literally had to scour the internet for days and it was so simple I banged my head against the wall.
Apparently if you have easytether it interferes with adb. The solution was
sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/EasyTetherUSBEthernet.kext
and to reload it if you need it again.

Sorry about posting in the wrong section. I wasn't 100% sure and I figured since developers mess with adb it would be the closest section to post it in, at least that was my logic anyway.
I also apologize to Opentang. I wasn't trying to be rude. Just didn't want my thread taken over by the jerks that fight over such dumb stuff.
i dont have any bias for/against mac (well maybe a little ), just thought this was funny
I don't really care for the fight, I just think its just something else men fight over when they want to compensate for something *cough*. I go to an engineering school so I hear this crap a lot. The way I see it, about 90% of the time the guys who use PC start it (coincidence? I think not ) and they are just jelly. =D

[Q] No root folder to put pg85img.zip

ive been having the same issues with the ics update, ive searched all threads prior to post and cannot find any solution to my problem. i was s-on rooted running stock rom. i relocked my boot loader unlocked it a hundred times ive put thr t mobile RUU onto my external sim and my hboot screen still tells me no img found wrong img. Many of the threads ive read said to put it into the root folder on my sd card, but there is no root folder on my sim.
Also, when im relocked ***security warning*** and cannot do anything outside the boot screen. When i unlock it again it freezes at the t mobile 4g screen after boot animation. That is unless i have it hooked up to htc sync. When i have it synced it goes past t mobile 4g screen and loads but there isnt any functions available on the phone, its like everything is wiped...
Please help me, thanks in advance!
Just put the file on your sd card, not in any folders, that is what we call the root of the sd card.

This belongs in Q&A.
The development section has a sticky of one of the better device "Bibles" I've ever seen. It has links to toolkits, and just about anything else you can think of.
Highly recommended that you read the portion you have questions about, you'll end up there anyway if something goes wrong.

If you're on ICS just unlock your bootloader via htcdev method, then flash cwm or whatever you want to use, then flash superuser and you're all good to go It really is as simple as it sounds.
Yes, you can.
Get the toolkit, unlock bootloader > flash recovery > reboot into recovery > select "perm root", flash Supersu.zip from sd card, enjoy.

What the H E double hockey sticks? Asking a question in the dev section. You info says a senior memeber. Senior member of what, society and your dementia is kicking in and you forgot simple rules? Come on for the love of all that is holy use the search as well as post in correct section.
Model is SGH-"T"959. Search is your friend and you will find that there have been instances of the SD card getting swapped in the CM builds which you appear to be running an Alpha of JB. Search the thread that you got the rom from and ask there.
How was that @Dougfresh?
Mods please move or close.
There's a simple fix for that.
Go into recovery
Go to advanced menu
scroll down into fix permissions
slam phone against the wall
everything should be working perfectly after that. let me know if you need more help!

[BT fix part 2], maybe

You most follow every step and read the entire thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31788385
The part about fixing owner, rebooted with BT on and cut and paste the original file someplace safe on your card is a most. You can't have the bak file there at all.
Tested and everything works on slimbean and liquid for me.
Read the entire post before doing anything.
I can't be sure if it's the combination of this fix and the above since I had this one in place already
