There several post telling that Bin4ry mothed has worked... Read thread "Jelly Bean"
This upgrade unrooted my tablet.
Had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get it rooted, now I have do it all again.
I like this update, much smoother and responsive to me.

the docomo firmware cannot be rooted with zergrush easily for bootloader locked users.
so if you want a rooted docomo firmware you need to flash .67 baseband or a firmware with .67 baseband via flashtool then flash zip installation via cwm.
I allready posted the flashable zip on the Latest Docomo Thread xP but its ok

i flashed my X-Play using this and then Zerg Rushed my phone and i wasnt able to get the 2 new PS Suite Games, makes me think that it didn't work? what should i look at to identify that the flash i did worked? i'll post screenshot of my phone info after installing your True Ancestor.
the 2 ps pocket games aren't contained in the enhanced firmware, they are in the docomo firmware.
if you only want the two games, i could just upload the game apks.
Aren't the games are in japanese??

man i really like ICS, fast and smooth
i am getting root access with Bin4ry method, now installing titanium backup and restore all my apps
When i go to "Apps" -> "Running" then settings app crashes..
menus are not the slickest and there still is the slight delay for contacts/dialer/ camera but im sure that sony will fix that

try rebooting your phone. I experienced the same error but it was gone after reboot. also make sure you did factory reset

Ok oddly the system dump is in ext4 format instead of yaffs2 which is the normal scenario in ICS builds did anyone else try extracting their system image n checking?

Why would they upgrade the Kernel to 3.x. If there is no JB for 2011 (they have no time for 2011 xperias develeopment) and if they do upgrade kernel they would have been announced before..
I hope, it will be bug fixed ICS (at least), they've already develop so many ICS for 2012 devices, so they can do it.
I think it's just maintenance update as sony said so no more new stuff

samsung upgrade kernel to 3.x in ICS .. so it not just for JB
otherwise we need it for costume rom
Just expect some basic bugfix!
I don't think there would be an update in kernel!
That way you won't be disappointed!

This is what we expect
since 587 fw was released: led,smoothness and hd recording bugfix. I rather prefer a bugfree ICS than a buggy JB Also,i don't know why Sony should release a new kernel for ICS.

Which folder? Faces? It was in previous version too. You can search fotos by someone face
And App is just newer version. Sth new? I dont think so. Just an update. Maybe some bugs have been repaired. You have changelog in first post.

Ah so So when you enter to photos in this folder it will search faces in picutres and you can assign faces to person. After some time app will automatic assign people to photos so then you can search them on your photo collection. Just like for example picasa did.

Agree. At first, I wanted to update for kitkat. Well after read many comments abt it, I wouldn’t risk my baby having laggy just for kitkat.

About the sd card. We cannot use 3rd party apps to write/access sd card. For example: use boat browser or any other browser (don't know yet for chrome), set the download folder location to external sd card. And then try open those browser and download any file.. It will failed.

Did you update via OTA/PCSuite or FTF? Have you disabled bloatware and useless apps?

Not funny and actually a bit cruel. I am still in US with C6802 waiting for KitKat like a stupid *****. It never comes.
I received the update today on sony bridge for my HKG C6802 in the states.
14.2.A.1.136 Malaysia fw updated to kitkat today
