Previously I was using RR 3.0.6 and Bluetooth worked as a charm. Yesterday I upgraded to RR 3.8 (very nice ROM! Thank you!) and I am having trouble with Bluetooth connection to car hands-free (Carminat Live system).
After pairing phone connects to hf device but connection gets dropped in about 1 min. After that devices automatically reconnect and disconnect again and again. HF device shows message BT busy when disconnecting.
Exactly same problem has previously appeared with stock i9100 ICS ROM.
Same car, same hf were working on RR 3.0.6 with Siyah kernel.
Here comes my questions. Is there a way to replace Bluetooth in RR 3.8 with the one used in RR 3.0.6 or should I just downgrade to RR 3.0.6 ? If the Bluetooth replacement is possible then how to do that?
Details:
Phone: i9100
Kernel: Siyah 4.1.5
Location: EST

best option in my opinion is to reflash v3.0.6 for now and wait for the next update

After trying multiple ROMs and doing extensive googleing I found a solution for this issue. Maybe this post helps someone in the future.
The problem lies in BluetoothPBAP service. Some cars OEM BT handsfrees have problems communicating to a SGS(2) phones where this service is running. As soon as You stop the service the devices start to get along very nicely (including sync of recent calls list and PB). My solution was to use a AutoStart Manager app to remove BluetoothPBAP from started services and problem solved after next restart. This solution works in rooted phone only to my knowledge.
PS. I did also change daily ROM in process. I use WanamLite latest ICS ROM with included stock-like kernel

I have a problem with Custom ROM's Bluetooth.
I have tried CM10, AOKP and SuperNexus.
With all ROM's there is a problem with Bluetooth (Audio distorted) with my Car System (BMW).
With all Samsung based ROMS (Stock and Omega) all works fine.
Now i tried it with a dual boot environment (SiyahKernel S3 v1.7rc1) -> but same error
has anyone an idea?

Having the same issue. But good to know that Omega is still working. May have to move back to that for the time being.

Havind the same issue as state above. I have samsung s3 and parrot ck3100 in my car.
Before i was using stock rom and never had problems.
Now i tried Liquidsmooth, CM 9 en slimbean. They all give me the same problems. Audio on bleutooth is completly distorted en not useable.
Anyone suggestions, would really appreciate because i love those customs roms but really need my BT to work.

Question i guess is this to do with the Kernel or the radio............or both.
Any help appreciated
i have new problem in my i9100 ..i am now in rootbox rom 4.2.2 last nightly with dorimanx kernal 9.16 and wifi work good but when i update new dorimanx kernal update over the old one the wifi not work ,at all kernal ..even stock one but when i remove my sim card wifi work with all kernals again sooo any help please
Read about it in the dorimanx thread, either development or support. The wifi drivers were recently changed for the kernel. If the recent kernels have wifi issues, then you'll have to stick with the old ones or change to a different kernel. The new drivers work for 80% of users, the other 20% are our of luck as your hardware is incompatible. Bad luck mate :/

I got this problem that wifi won't work. But didn't tried no sim cart input!
Anyway I found the solution. If the rom you are using has the wifi region code setting in wifi advanced option, set it to a country (I chose Australia) it will do the trick and your wifi will work! And any rom without wifi region code option you will have this wifi connectivity problem since dorimanx said he won't investigate to solve this issue.
thanks my friends i fix it by wifi fix manager apk and change my region automaticaly and work again ...thanks again
Hello xda, i had an ICS stock and all worked perfectly untill one day the mic of the headset stopped working, and the controller too. I thought it was a OS problem, so i tried to install Kitkat from CM snapshot, the 10.3 and allso 10 different MIUIv5 versions, still doesent work(with the 3 wipes). The headset works perfectly in other devices. What can i do? i have a SGS2 and currently im on MIUIv5 3.5.31 Spanish version.
Thank you for your time
Hi ,
yesterday I tried to use my I9300 (Blisspop 4.0.1 + Boeffla-Kernel) with my cars hands-free unit.
The prblem was, that if I called someone, the connection was very bad. Just noise and no chance to understand what the other was saying.
On the other hand, when I received a call, everything was ok.
My question now is, where do I have to search for the solution?
Is such a bluetooth issue based on the kernel I use (so I can try a different one) or is it based in an application module (so Blisspop is the root cause)?
And if I have to update the Kernel, how do I do this?
Just flashing the new Kernel or do I have to perform a full flash including the application SW?
Regards,
Dodger
