Jellybean rom with good/great batt life - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hello fellow neo v users.. Can anyone here suggest me or refer a jelly bean rom with good battery backup? Ive been looking one for now but i failed to be satisfied. By the way, my ph's bootloader is already unlocked and im on bb77 now. I hope that i can find one that will suit my likes. I also prefer the messaging of the cm based roms because of the android smileys. Theyre cute haha. Thank you guys

i would recommend the AOKP JB (build2) or the cm10. Both provided good battery backup for me. If u want great backup..then go for ICS.
P.S. dont forget to flash BB72,before installing cm10 or AOKP

Paranoid android has a good battery backup as its CM10 based but better! Use bb72
Sent from my Neo V using tapatalk 2

but how come when i switched to bb77 i then got better life with those rom? im actually on paranoid now and i got 1 and 1/2 days of battery life. with sms/call only.. im not sure which makes my battery consume so much.

I think you need to do some reading of these forums.
My opinion, yes, ICS is better than GB. Best rom cm9 or bezke AOKP.
Ics is da bomb. Much sexier interface and neat features. I have tried all the current roms in Android development and I keep going back to Resurrection by westcrip.
yeah ics is good but cm9,spike and otha custum rom giv u full ics taste.....but u must read the help, general, faq sections then do the flashing stuff...cause if u do it wrong ur going to hard brick ur phone.hope u get the point....cheeeerz

MIUI or CM10?

Did anyone try both of 2 roms? I am now running official Ics rom. I don't think HTC will offer JB update. So I would like try custom rom. I am only interested in miui&cm10. If anyone could advise me, I am very appreciate.
Thanks

At this point : MIUI. This rom is pretty much perfect in every aspect. Cm10 still has issues and battery life can't even be compared.
I'm eagerly waiting for a fully functional cm Rom myself, but even then it will be tough to switch over from MIUI. And I LOVE cm.
Edit : oh, you mean the jb-test version of Miui? Well, since it is based on Agraben's cm10, it will have the same issues, so it probably doesn't matter what you choose

I used to run cm7.1 on my nook color and I love it. It looks like that JB rom is still waiting for further development. I think I shall still use stock rom until the stable rom shows.
BTW, what is current Miui rom based on? Ics?

Hahaha, nice to see another (former?) NC-owner around here:laugh:
I gave cm9 another try just yesterday, since they finally got hardware acceleration and flash working. CM7 was a rock solid rom and still is, with almost immortal battery-life. So I'll likely switch back if the tinyest thing annoys me

Current stable is ICS, yes
(both the ics and jb MIUI are in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874748
You can't really go wrong with miui ics, but if it's jb you're after then yeah, probably better wait some more.

I love nook color with cm7.1 stable rom until my wife bought a ipad2. After that I sold it out. Compared to the stock rom, cm7.1 does offer us with impressive battery life. But compared with iPad2, :what:the advantage of battery life suddenly vanish.

u doin injustice to evo 3d by comparing its battery lifw wid other device...wat do u expect 4m a 3d device...ofcourse it will giv u low battery scores....even i am desperately looking for JB... my fren usin galaxy S2 has already got stable JB but y not us? i dont think ders much difference in evo3d n s2. infact if u ask me i give evo 3d a superior position
I used MIUI for all of 30 minutes earlier today and I was actually impressed with what I used. The ROM was sense based, but had most of the cool MIUI stuff anyway.
Cyanogenmod seems to bee the least flashy AOSP ROM I've used, besides default AOSP maybe. MIUI was flashy and fun, but unintrusive. I'd consider using it as a daily ROM.

It's really hard to compare battery life of Android devices, especially of older Android devices, to Apple products.
Of course, many Android devices are actually starting to catch up and the Kindle Fire HD actually gives the iPad's battery a run for its money. Personally, my year-old Kindle Fire actually gets really good battery life with the JB ROM I'm using.

Best Jelly Bean Rom?

Hey guys, i want to move on from ICS to JB, I have seen that the flykernel is a pretty good one... Which rom is the best in terms of:
1. Battery life
2. Performance
3. Stable
Thanks a lot for your future tips or recommendations.

Ill try Pac, I hope everything is working there fine
My phone too. PAC is great but I can't get great battery life from it. Not disastrous life just a lot faster drain than the best ICS builds. Don't think it copes with the widgets i use.

Not a commercial(or maybe it is), but try my Nyandroid AOSP Jally Bean, it's the only fully AOSP rom out there and it has fixed front camera (in release 3 wich is uploading ATM), and it is clean and pure AOSP.

IMO, PAC rom is the best. You get the best support on the thread, with every two weeks (more or less) updates and currently dev is building 4.2 roms. Have a go at it ^^

p.a.c. and cm10 is rom that i suggest to use with flykernel v0.5a(jb)..for flykernel v.8 it support most ics rom..
first of all wrong section to post, there is a general or a q&a section but there is no such thing of best rom, best rom for me will prbably not suit you, and will be worse for you, and saying one is better than other is not ok for developers, try them all and choose the one you like more

[Q] [SOLA] JB/ICS/GB - Which ROMs do you prefer?

Hi there,
Tried a lot of ROMs for our Xperia Sola in the last days... and have become clueless which Rom to choose...
Go for JB even if it's still buggy... accept the laginess of ICS... or prefer the good old stoneage but very fast and also stable GB ?!?
And stay to the modding and tweaking of the custom roms trying to get the best out of it... :fingers-crossed:
Or let's get back to real open source and flash some cm based rom...
What can you recommend? What is your experience? Please share your opinions!
Btw: Is it possible to have floating touch enabled with any non-stock based roms? Cause I use the mobile a lot with thick gloves and that's why I actually buyed the sola
Read the rules, no threads ehich ia better is allowed. Try and see...

the most stable from my experience was a cm9 ics based rom as its most compatible with the device...most roms 4.1 based and higher have reboot issues because of a deep sleep issue caused by the default setting of the min frequency being too low under performance settings...but if you want everything to work including bluetooth and not have sense cm9 would be your best choice...4.3 based roms still have many bugs such as mms not working after first reboot and camcorder keeps force closing..4.1 and up still has a few bluetooth based bugs and your reboots...the reboots still happen on 4.3 based roms like pac until you change it to proper settings
Liquid smooth all day

The AOSP ROM I used for a while was PAC but it started rebooting a lot because it overheated while charging. CM9 was stable for me and CM10 is almost stable.

Even the latest version of cm9 (back in 05/28/13) has bluetooth problems. Is there really no aosp or kang that is 100% functional? Weather it be 4.0, 4.2, 4.3? Came close with Liquid Smooth but still having soft reboots.
Consider Talon v1.0, because either nobody is using it (unlikely with over 3000 views), or people are using it and brenuga just built it right and it works... and my money is on the later. Seems extremely stable, feature rich, and bug-free, it is what I am going with for my work phone.
My ROM of choice is CM10.1.3. I have zero issues with it. CM9 would be my next choice.

Although I would go CarbonRom (4.3 based) or Talon (4.2 based) for stability and performance.
