[Q] JB Bootloader and other??'s - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all. Quick question for ya. I am going to flash one of the JB roms to my wifes galaxy tab 10.1 this weekend.
She is currently running task's honeycomb rom. She has been running that for a good 5 months now.
What order do I proceed to get her to JB??
Must I flash an ICS rom first then flash a JB rom??
Do I need to flash a JB bootloader or an ICS bootloader?? If so where can I find them. Been searching the forum with no luck.
Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Specifically the orders or anything I have overlooked.
Thanks in advance,
Nycorduroy

Firmware, kernel?

Hi all, I'm new to S2 rooting. I'm doing it for my friend to root and also install custom ICS rom. I have a HD2 and love flasing different rom. very nice! anyway,
Right now he's on XWKF1. I've seen other ICS Rom with XXLP2. In other words, I've to change the firmware and kernel?
Where can i find the link to download to upgrade everything to install/upgrade to XXLP2? So that I can flash ICS Rom.
Thanks again.

[Q] ICS root?

Hi,
I just flashed the paranoid android ics rom, but somehow I end up unrooted after flashing.
So, what is the appropriate rooting method for ICS on Atrix? I've searched but couldnt find any thoughts on this.
Best regards

Rooting my device, any tips?

So I have the galaxy tab 10.1 wifi version (US) and am planning to root it today. Can someone give me some suggestions on which Roms are best? I would prefer to go on AOSP Jelly Bean 4.2.1, but only if it's stable. I looked in the forums and saw CM10.1 and AOKP but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. Also, what are the worst bugs from these Roms so if I go through with it, I know what to expect?
Thanks,
Acer
P. S. What's the best rooting method? I'm stock ICS and was looking for in all-in-one toolkit but I can't seem to find one (being on my phone).
Thanks again!

Cm 10.1 is a good choice, no issue for me
Its not perfect!
Actually I have samsung galaxy tab gt-p6200 and I flashed that rom few days ago and its not for daily use, It gave me many errors liek the browser was not opening and the keyboard usually crashes a lot. Give it some time to this rom first. The funny thing is that I flashed this rom and I got these errors so I reflashed ICS offcial rom from SamFire using odin and now my tab is super bricked lol and I don't know what to do :crying:
I would suggest you head over to the Development section and check it out. I rooted my GT7500 successfully there and have the stock ICS on it. Tried CM 10 but dont like it.

[Q] Had to flash pre-rooted rom to get root

So, after many hours and errors, the only way I could get root on wifes 10.1 running 4.0.4, was to factory reset and flash Toldo's Jelly Bean rom v8. This rom is better than stock by far, so don't get me wrong here, but I really want to try some other roms. I worry that the way I had to get root will cause issues if I start flashing new roms. I would really like to put CromiX on it if it were possible, I run 4.6.6 on my TF700 and it is too sweet! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Upgrade from the JB 4.1.1 Bootloader

I recently got back my tf201 from a family member after not having it for 3 years. It is unlocked and is currently on the AndroWook Hairy Bean v1.4. If someone could point me in the right direction of how to get the JB 4.2.1 bootloader on it so i could flash the latest twrp and some of the latest roms, it would be much appreciated. I looked around the General section as well as the Android Devlopment section of the tf201 but did not see anything about upgrading the bootloader. Bootloader is: v 10.4.2.15 and im on twrp 2.3
This is one of the best roms around at the moment. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3080892 It also has a link about how to upgrade from stock.
Have a good read first though. Im no expert.
