I tested the ping on speedtest.net app and on cs1.6
Btw i have reliance 3g and i get download speed 700 kB/s on mmx a52 and 550kB/s on lg p500
And 45 ping on a52 and 110. On p500
I play counter strike and 40-50 ping is ok for playing but 110 ping is high and the game lags
So what‘s the reason for high ping on. Lgp500 ?
Is it the processor ? Coz mmx a52 has 1 ghZ ? Or some other reason
And is der any solution to lower ping ?

Well its due to HSUPA
(High-Speed Uplink Packet Access)
optimus one doesn't have it, it only have HSDPA(High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) but micromax a52 does(HSDPA+HSUPA).
and me also had the same problem with call of duty so i use my optimus 2x less ping+good registry
And btw as it is a hardware limitation there is no solution to this.

Hey frndz my optimus one 3g speed reaches to a max of 190-200KBps while being a 7.2 MBps it should go beyond den wat i am getting...
Also using the same sim in my galaxy ace gives a speed of atleast 400-450KBps.....
Why their is so much difference?
In lg 3g network shows hsdpa and in ace it shows umts mode....
Please comment and help me to get speed....!! Thnx.

I have tried searching but I can't find anything on the 3G speeds for the optimus one, other than the manufacturer thing, which is 7.2MB/s
I'm getting ~1200KBPS (1.2mb/s) with a 900 ping to a server right beside me, is this normal? I have the 3G tweak installed
Yeah it's normal.I get anywhere from 300kbps to 3mbps depending on location and no of people connected.

Do you have any tweaks?
Try removing 3g tweak. I normally get 2.5 to 3.5mbps, with the server about 50m away.

I notice that VM's 3g connection has slowed down (almost unusable in my area). So i got the thinking that maybe there is a app to boost my web speed. Any help would go a long way.
I dont know of any app that could do it or see how an app could boost the max speed you get from your tower.

Check out setdns from market... switched mine to fooldns and got about a 10% speed boost... I bought the pro to support the dev... but the free version works... be sure to thank him if you like it...

Can anyone I mean devs and experts help me get Max speed with edge/gprs and how to stabilize data rate/ speed.
Max speed I got: down 10-14 kilobytes per sec
Up 13-15 kilobytes per sec.

Yeaup Im on the same price plan but changed to it the first day it was out ... So I get 5g high speed data + unlimited talk & text !!!
I switched to the new plan too but have you noticed that the 3g speeds have slowed down or is it just me?

Yes I noticed & called multiple times about it ... I used to get well over 10-12Mbps and sometimes up to over 21mbps ... but when i made the change .. the speed struggles to get past 900-1000 !!! I thought to my self maybe its the rom im using .. wind mobile rom with apps 2sd ... but i doubt it ... what is your high speed data limit ... i get 5gb ... you ???

Glad too know its not the rom .. in a way !!! I guess now we actually have 3g speeds ... lol ... Its good enough for what i do and at l can still tether to other devices .. So im not yoo mad about it .. plus with the faster speeds i used to have with only 1gb allotment .. im better off... I would used most of my data up doing speedtest !!!
I recommend straight talk. 45 for unlimited all. I don't know if they have the micro sim available now, but I cut mine. Speed is reliable and fast enough for daily use. There are many threads about ST TMO service on xda; search it.

I get a discount on the Wal-Mart Family Mobile cause I work at Sam's Club. The speed may seem slow but it's enough to do everyday things. I streamed music tonight at work and it didn't buffer any. I've also watched a couple of YouTube videos and it streams fine.
