Hey all!
First time in the SG3 forums! Got a quick question for ya... So I have this SG3 i9308 that was purchased in China, has anyone tried to put a i9300 ROM on it? If you have, did it work? I read somewhere that there will be issues with the modem... Appreciate any feedbacks! A simple yes/no will do as well
TIA

What I meant to say is nothing should be done to this phone if you don't want to use the search button. This thread is not needed if OP did a simple search.
It cannot be rooted or unlocked without using the search button on these forums and reading the sticky threads that have been made sticky for a reason.

Hey, he waited a whole week to resurrect this thread with his erroneous info. Mad props!
These people are posting all bullcrap. dude i jus rooted + unlocked my sgh i777 couple of days before. Trust me its working perfect and it hardly requires 10 mins to root+unlock it. its a very easy procedure once you have the Odin 1.85 app and a pc and GalaxyS Unlock app by Helroz..you can find it at android market. its really an easy procedure.
Hey guys? I'm usually on the Epic 4G Touch forums, but my cousin wanted me to help him with flashing his T-Mobile S2 and I was wondering what was the best ROM? Thanks in advanced!!!

Hi - been searching the forum but cannot find a difintive answer.
Are the S3 from carriers unlocked, in particular Orange?
If not, is there any way of unlocking like we were able to do with S2?
Thanks and apologies if its been posted before.

They're usually not unlocked although I've had the odd one which was, the best thing to do is to use voodoo for galaxy s3 and it will simply unlock your device. Job done.

I just installed TWRP to play around with on my S3 because I read about the multi ROM feature. Now that I've done some more searching, I can't find much about it. I originally read about it here on the XDA forums, but for the Nexus 10, and now I'm concerned that it only works for that.
Does anyone else have experience with this? I would LOVE to be able to have multiple ROMs!

DANGER this is I9300 forum do you have I9300 ???? above says you may be in danger of bricking your non I9300 .
Once more read the sticky firs .

Thank you for your concern, but I'm new here, not to rooting and installing custom ROMs, etc in general.
Another (unrelated) forum I frequent has a similar 'Thanks' button that no one uses.
so do you have the i9300 or the i535?
