my photon4G is in 2.3.5 .. I've tried to upgrade 4.0 or 4.1 unofficially but after installing my IMEI number , serial number and network related things are all showing "unknown"... I have unlocked my bootlader also then Y it's not supporting in my device I don't know?
Don't know what to do with this Issue........... So i reverted 2.3.5 in my photon.. Can someone help me out of this problem ?
Try this:
Copy libmoto_ril.so from /system/lib from your stock rom to your sdcard. Flash cm10 and overwrite this file to the same location and reboot.

Hi can you please tell this method is really fix my problem ?... Because i have tried many installation's with CM9,CM10 and AOKP ,etc,..

They show unknown because the radio is borked or off. Try with Bluetooth or wifi on and off and you'll see that the mac address and bt address will show that it's unknown

How do you have an unlocked bootloader while on 2.3.5?
Photons with shipped 2.3.5 is unlockable. My electrify was on 2.3.5 too, i unlocked the bootloader without any issues.

Thanks. I'm coming from the Crespo4g. This not-unlockable bootloader is all new to me. I was able to root my Nexus S the day I got it. Do I still need a dock to root this now?

You may take a look at the file GSX_fix.zip on http://goo.im/devs/Th3Bill/CM10/Photon and compare it with whats on your phone now. Its from the CM10 Jokersax and Th3Bill Rom at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787743
I don't know what rom you're using so DO NOT FLASH OR USE this file. Just use for comparison
Just look inside the zip and see what changes it makes. Then maybe you can get more information
I compared both....but I need some additional details..what are all the fields I need to compare? And can I change any fields?

I have p500(indian) on old baseband and want to upgrade to new bb using lgmdp.. following are a few questions that i dint find an answer to.
1.what is the risk of having a bricked device if i turn off lg virtual modem..?
2. th lg virtual modem is shown as lge android platform usb modem.. is it the same..?
3. What rom and recovery should i be on to flash new baseband?
4. can i flash cm9 first and then new baseband?
5.my recovery takes around 5 seconds to show the options... it wasnt like this before.. is this normal? im on the recovery i firrst installed(amonra 1.2 the one with bad boot message)
6.before flashing a recovery zip or cwm from rom manger what precautions should i take?
7.In rom manager if i say install recovery.. it shows p500 and p500(oldbb) so if i flash old bb now and then upgrade.. will it work?
8. if flash the one without (oldbb) will my phone get bricked..?

Well there are many tutorials out there on how to get new bb. Just follow them step by step. You have to flash it first then you can get CM9. Forgive me but some of your question sound like this "Will my phone work if I submerge half of it in water?". Don't worry just do as you're told on the tutorials All the best!

joel chan thanks for telling me.. but actually my whole family has gone out.. and this is the only phone i have.. so i have to be extra careful... being an engineer.. had to evaluate each and every risk factor that could be involved.. i know i might so III md screwed up.. but thanks for anwering atleat two of my wuestions.

Aspee has an old baseband fix that might work.. there is also a funny sim fix that might work...flashing baseband is easy and simple

There is definitely a risk, and you have to follow the instructions clearly to avoid any risks. To be honest here, I bricked my phone thrice (yes! 3 times) using kdz updater. That's why I'd suggest that you don't upgrade to new bb using kdz updater

The only and most secure thing i have to prefer u to flash official froyo 2.2.2 on ur phone first... if u already using it then its ok... n if not then search a official froyo rom in zip format for flashing it via cwm recovery... after then... use lg pc suite for upgrading it to official 2.3.3 n ur phone will automatically updated to new bb too.
EDIT: Just clarify me what rom n recovery are u using...!?? What android version and baseband shows on ur phone....

Currently I have 2.3.5 in my photon and now I've installed custom CM9 ROM....after installing that the phone works fine and the performance also good but the actual problem I faced is it showing error in mobile networks and IMEI number and any other system related info is displayed as "unknown". And I've tried *#*#4636#*#* to update gsm.... but that also showing "unknown" .i don't know what to do.... I tried CM10 also but the same result.....and also I tried older version 2.3.4 ..in that also same problem...some body please help me out of this problem....pls

why dont you try miui rom based on jokersax cm9 the aroma edition also has options to choose the network also,
i had tried that rom but that also has issues related to data i gets disconnected after a while.
do a clean install wipe system data cache and then factory reset and then wipe dalvik cache and then try installing this rom
Tried that also its also having the same exact problem.... other than 2.3.5 os all others having same issue...there's is a solution for this but I don't know that...

You have given this for 2.3.4 sv1.... but currently i am in 2.3.5 for this custom sbf available to fix my Issue?

I was trying to add a font using root toolbox and yes I did a reset but nothing I also have a backup but that's on bootstrap and only I can get into that is my phone being able to boot up

you should always have a backup on your computer... you'll need to flash a system image through fastboot or something to get it to work since there's no SBF for 2.3.5

Can he copy his Bootstrap recovery files from his micro sd card to his computer using a card reader then flash those image files through fastboot?

well i'm not sure if anything besides img files can be flashed via fastboot. so you need to find the system image file from someone who has it? i don't as i have the electrify.... but maybe you could temporarily reflash the electrify rom to it then restore your bootstrap backup... let me find a link. i sent you a PM.

awesome. that's good news. that system image was pulled from a "magical photon" with a completely unlocked radio. literally a one of a kind photon. so i wasn't entirely sure it would work alright. i should try and get an image of the stock 2.3.5 standard... thanks for the report! enjoy your working phone

I was able to register my phone with Reliance ,but after that also when i make a call it automatically get cancelled in a second.

Are you running the DX2 as stock? Or have you installed a custom ROM. CM10 has had this issue with phone calls. Other than that, I know nothing about Reliance.

that is a stock rom, stock means the software made by motorola
not sure that the DX2 will work on Reliance
you may need to change apn settings
also search for reliance mobile cdma apn settings
jellybam install the rom and now I wanted to go back to android 4.1 wifi .. I lifted and did all the wipes, reinstall the stock rom from rsd, did the wifical.sh ...
any other solution?
Check the baseband in the system info...
If you don't see nothing try flash a new baseband,search in RAZR forum
