Does anyone here would help me to mod my framework-res.apk using uot kitchen?? I'm having trouble making it. All I wanted is the battery icon( the first choice there. I think its called. "A" )
And the charge animation is the middle one. For the colour I wanted everything there accept for the last two. Change the part 4 colour to part 5 and part 5 colour to part 4. And the popup screen. I want only the loading animation. Change it to arrows and the colour is the battery icon part 5 colour( Blue ). I really want it but I always getting shtf file. I can't turn on my computer now for a few days. And I can't upload the framework-res.apk using android phone. I'm on cm7. I don't know what is the system theme name so I uploaded framework and systemui. Help me please. I need it quick. Thanks in advance.

[Q] just had this thought. When you're on a call, the status bar glows green and dark. My question I guess is how hard do you guys think it would be to copy that over into the static, normal status bar. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it but nothing in my search and all my time on xda never saw this question. Being that I don't believe Im that original it's probably difficult enough for it not to have been done by now but had to ask. Maybe not the best for battery but how cool? I'd sure spare some amperage ^_^

I really hate the white status bar and would be willing to pay someone to change it to black as long as it would not effect future updates or cause any problems. Of course the icon colors would also have to be changed so it's not that simple a task.
If icons you mean battery and h+bars that'd be the easy part for me. Though I know you're trying to keep stock and over 100, 175 ^_^ I don't mind if if it takes edits to frame that nearly bricks. Just wanted to put it out to see if anyone has tried and thoughts. Thanks for reply! =D

Changing the color of the status bar is relatively easy you just have to edit the .png files in the framework-res.apk. That is how themes are done. I also think there is a simple black status bar mod in the themes section, but I am to lazy to find it specifically. However these changes do require a deodexed system which does not allow you to update, but it is not that difficult to flash back to stock using an sbf and then update.
Hi, I have a problem with UOT Kitchen, I created several themes for my phone, but in all the only thing that changes is the battery symbol, everything else as a sign, notice, icons wifi, gps, etc., remain intact; anyone know how I can do to change the entire whole, over the original files-res.apk framework, and twframework-res.apk SystemUI.apk, and still does not change anything, help please!
NOTE: SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH!
someone who can help me please or I east a little?
Do you mean like when you open status bar and your bar is see through and other style but the buttons on the top up the carrier trxt arent changed. yOURE right that will not change i had almost 300 themes from uot kitchen on ny phone

Hey guys, anyone can show me how change the volume bar color and the lockscreen clock font, so it looks the same as ICS. I'm using CM7. Please tell my exactly what to do (what I use to ''open'' and close'' the needed files, what to change, what possible files to change, etc), because my knowledge isn't good at this.
Thanks in advance.

You need to flash the ICS font. I think it was called roboto or something along these lines. Search the forum, you will find it. Its a zip file.
Regarding the volume bar though - think u need to change framework.apk. not sure tho.

I don't think I need to flash the font. I use font changer, and it should change everything, even the clock, so I think it's framework related too, but I don't know how change it.

Never mind about the clock, I changed the Clockopia.tff for AndroidClock.tff and renamed it. But it still want to change the volume bar color.

I know that, but I have 3 MODs on my framework, and I must know what to change in the framework to change the color. There must be a code somewhere that says wich color is used for the bar.
you need to decompile framework. (there are milliond of guides on how) once done go to the res/drawable folder. In it look for the progress_horizontal.xml file. open that file with notepad or notepad++ to edit it. there are 3 sets of 3 colors in there. top group is for the background grey, you need to change the other two groups.
Also, if you know the hex color for ics off hand i will do the change and send you the file so you can drop it straight into the framework.

Thanks for your help. I will try to find the hex color from ICS, and after that I upload my framework. But I won't turn on my PC today. Tomorrow, after I wake up, I will upload it.
EDIT: Found color code. Can make sure is this one (I am on my phone), but here is it: FF33B5E5
EDIT 2: If possible, take some screenshots and send to me, only from the editing part. I was trying to do and I coudn't understand exactly how to change.

I haven't really played with our modded the icons since 2.3 on my d2g. Where do I find png files to edit for the taskbar and such? Any help appreciated.

can anyone help me out? i'm pretty good with uot now however I can't seem to get the signal bars to stop being a light grey as well as the 3g/4g and arrows to change color. im using cleanrom 1.5.5. they rest of the top bar and statusbar was changed but for some reason i cant get anything related to the 3g/4g arrows and indicator as well as the 4 signal bar to go red. i supplied the flashable zip. it's mostly based off the transparent mod but changed a few things to be like a black/clear/red type of theme. any help in getting the other status icons to change color would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is that the 3g and 4g arrows aren't
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g.png or stat_sys_data_inandout_4g.png
they are
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g_lte.png or stat_sys_data_inandout_vzw_lte.png
If you have the icons you want in 3g/4g then copy them over the similarly named 3g_lte and vzw_lte files. Then you'll get what you're looking for. If you want I can edit up your file to show you what I mean.
yeah if you don't mind. I used the uot kitchen so the mistake was on the automatic cooking. only icons that aren't red is the CDMA signal 4 bar,3g with arrows as well as the 4g lte. thanks for the help

I grabbed the file but I can't edit the files without GIMP. I'll beat this up for you tonight if you can wait. Otherwise if you want to try yourself, these are the files that need to be replaced to do 1x, 3G, and 4G on the Rezound.
/system/app/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi (and/or drawable-xhdpi)
1X:
stat_sys_data_connected_1x.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_1x.png
stat_sys_data_in_1x.png
stat_sys_data_out_1x.png
3G:
stat_sys_data_connected_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_in_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_out_3g_lte.png
4G:
stat_sys_data_connected_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_in_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_out_vzw_lte.png
thanks I'll try while I wait. I didn't want anything to mess with what uot did so I'll manually patch as I go so everything else is in tact. If I fail then there's always your attempt. which versions of metamorph and ninja do u stick with?

I'm a hard-head. I do it all manually.

I break it down with morph and drag the work folder to my desktop. Only problem is white icons on a transparent....going through Xhdpi and just getting some basic red updates to match the rest of the phone. Having all blue os and all red and black phone feels off...

all I did was copied the systemui to my pc opened with 7zip. dragged the hdpi folder to my pc. edited selected images with paint.net. all i changed was the 4g/3g icon colors, left up/down arrows alone, changed 4 signal bar colors. dragged the files back into the zip within 7zip and pushed systemui and rebooted. first boot killed the status bar but i left it alone for a few minutes. did another reboot and now it seems to be workin great

change the default txt in the pulldown from black to white since the entire background is semi transparent. I haven't tried decompiling yet, figured i'd just extract the xmls out of res/layout but I did some reading where hex editing isn't required either. uot kitchen doesn't seem to get certain parts right. probably cause of the ota base

Yeah you need to decompile. Which actually isn't as bad as it sounds. If you have skype, send me a PM and I'll send you my skype name and I can send you my setup and walk you through whatever you need.
I am in the process of building a new ROM for the Galaxy Note 3. I have great experience with apk's and theming but i decided to take this a step further. I usually take icons from stock AOSP and port into a TouchWiz based ROM and use that as my theme but i want to change this next ROM up. They will be stock icons but with a green color. The name of my ROM is going to be "The Beast" and the green color will greatly add to the experience! Here is my problem though. I have Photoshop CS6 and I tried to change the white parts of the png files to green but it wouldn't happen. It would just turn greyish or just black. So then i was redirected towards Paint.net and i tried it out and it works amazingly except that it doesn't have a batch option or a way to recolor all of my images automatically. I don't have the time or patience to color 500 pngs + lol. Please lead me to what i need to do to get these icons recolored. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Them your out of luck. Real theming takes hours and some times days to do all the icons properly. Also you can't edit any. 9 this way
