I have a MK802 II. Unfortunately my TV seems to have issue with 720p, it works perfectly on 576p. ICS is set to boot into 720p and so I would have all the time after booting to revert through the setting applet to 576p. Is there any way (a config file? a kernel option?) to have the OS start by default in 576p?

I tried posting this to the development forum, however since it's my first post I ended up here, so I'm sorry if this seems a bit off topic. Anyway, hi and thanks for having me
Now, what I've been trying to do is load a (backed-up) stock Xperia X10 Mini Pro (U20i) 2.1.1.A.0.6 system.img into the Android SDK Emulator. The problem is I get a corrupted image like the one in the screen shot, here:

I'm not sure what's causing this, I can only guess that it's a bad screen configuration parameter, so I hoped someone here might have the solution.
I know it's not the system.img, cause I've tried several of them and ended up with the same results, and it's not my OS/SDK/... setup, because without the system.img the emulator works fine.

Partially solved
Well, after another hour of trial and error I managed to get it working
Setting the resolution to 320x480 fixed the graphics corruption problem and, although stretched, the emulated screen is now usable. Also, setting the LCD density to 320 really improved the image.
For my purposes (safely testing themes) this is close enough, but I would really appreciate it if someone found the right way of doing this.
Here's the working adv config in case anyone needs it. I'll keep trying, but please let me know if you find the correct screen parameters.

Good day to all. I'm new in this site and i really need help from anyone. It's just that i flashed my Cube U9GT tablet with U9GT2 firmware. I used RKBatchTool_1.5 software to flash my device. After flashing, i can only see white screen that keeps turning on everytime i try to reboot. It can still detect by my laptop thats why i'm not yet worried much. For now all i can think is to have a copy of Original or Custom firmware for my U9GT tablet so that i can flash it again with the correct firmware.
If anyone have a copy of working firmware for my tablet, kindly please help by giving me a working link where i can download it. I already browse google but unfortunately until now i can't find any.
I'm hoping for your favorable response with my concern. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi there... recently Flashed 5.1 on my Nexus 5, rooted my device then went ahead and tried to change the DPI like I always do after a flash and its not working...
I have tried setting the value ro.sf.lcd_density to 400 and it wont register.
The setting has definately been modified when i review the build file...
I have tried various apps that change DPI too and none of them work
Any ideas?
can you attach build.prop (from the rom's zip if available and from the phone's system partition) ?
Having the same issue on nexus 6. Changing to 520 DPI will boot loop, using 500 DPI doesn't change anything (some text in some apps is smaller, but everything else is the same).

the hardware capacitive keys (back, home ,menu) stop working so device turnes useless if you dont know how to turn on the quick ball setting which gives you software back , home and menu buttons which i dont like to use ... if i go back to 1080x1920 480DPI it works fine again ... any ideas how to fix this ?
Also screenshots looks messed up if you use 720p resolution ... its looks like they capture the upper left corner of the 1080p screen only
Please help me fix this ... i really want to have the extra performance out of this phone

Do you want to change dpi only ? Or you want to change Resolution as well ?
If you want to change dpi only.
Go to /system/build.prop
Insert this line in the end
ro.sf.lcd_density = value you want.
Reboot.
I am using 340 dpi and everything works perfect

Dpi changes fine but when you chanfe resolution also it makes capacitive keys not working
I need resolution change man ... Please i need this fix

ok try this
using root explorer go to directory /system/
back up your build.prop
open build.prop using text editor, remove any new tweaks caused by the app you mentioned on OP.
then add "ro.sf.lcd_density=xxx" change xxx to the value you want, i woulf suggest 480 (default), 440, 400 just dont use weird numbers or apps will fc (rare tho),
uninstall the app you mentioned on OP
next is the most important part
reboot into recovery , wipe cache and dalvik , then reboot your phone and wait until your phone is being optimised.
MIUI is a super-customised skin. You can't be sure about tweaks which are working for vanilla skin would work for MIUI. Most of the features are embedded in MIUI's framework, so weird things would happen if you edit build.prop. So, I would suggest, if you want 720p res on your phone, first install a custom ROM such as CM14.1 etc.

I want to use a USB game controller VID 0x0079 PID 0x0006 DragonRise Inc. generic USB Joystick.
The device is seen by the app called USB host viewer but don't generate events when key is pressed.
Also the analog button don't work.
How can I make android seen the device?
Maybe I need correct keydev.ko file? Where to find it? and how to install?

hi, what android version are you running?
you will need hid-dr.ko, i have this file for android 7 and older (amlogic kernel 3.xx) if your running 8/9 then you will have kernel 4.xx and this ko file may not work

You can take the file from any amlogic android 8+, as 8+ uses the new 4.x kernel I have a fair few roms and i cant find that file in any of the 9.0 roms, it may have never been compiled for the newer kernel but it give alot of options for you to look

I would have a problem with an X96max +, namely what happens (it has any android system on it) when the HDR logo appears on the LG TV at boot, the system slows down (freezes) at the boot screen and "System UI isn't responding for a long time "subtitle for wait or close will be followed by another, then it will be very difficult to load the system, but the Wifi will be turned off. It plays on almost every boot, whether you switch from CE to droid or not. Can anyone help?

cn hdr be turned off on the tv side? may point to if its causing the issue or it its just somthing else that triggers at the same time as the hdr service starts
