This app supposedly was the best way to delete all your facebook posts/likes/etc instead of manually doing it.
The app has seriously been disappeared (facebook tinfoil) Gone from playstore and any link to the apk.
Does anyone know why? Does the app still work?
If anyone has it or a link to the actual APK I'd love it.
I've been googling my ass off for 2 hours looking for the APK.
I've never seen an android app that completely disappeared from the entire internet.
Impossible to find it. I challenge anyone to try I give up
its easy to find ( i cant post links new member ) google exfoliateapps one word and will be your first hit the page has a link on the bottom that sends you to a link for playstore and no, the app no longer works ( as far as i can tell )
it looks like either facebook blocked the authorization app where you click to enable it to use your data ( same as any game authorizaion )
or that facebook app just no longer exists
the program opens fine and logs in fine but doesnt get the permission needed to interact with facebook

no the app simply does not exist (as far i can google). the best method (which is sporadic and isn't exactly an exact science) for me is to use imacros which is a firefox addon.
this isn't exactly for an internet noob though. i cant post links but if you google 'how to remove old facebook posts' the 2nd link should be from a site called zdnet. follow the instructions there to use macros to delete your old data. good luck

ok i actually got it to install from a play store called aptoide so yea ^^ that guy was right. however it doesnt have the required permission for removal of old data. if anyone finds a way around this please share the wealth.
try this ..... 4megaupload.com/exfoliate-for-facebook-apk-download.html
Via 4Shared - I have not installed this myself, so use at your own risk
Does this still work for Timeline?
Doesn't work
Another option?

I want to modify an app so that after installing, it doesn't show (Hidden) in the app section.
I don't have experience in this type of work.
I was fiddling around with root explorer thinking that I could find something that would allow me to make it hidden but, no luck.
I think and I really mean THINK that this type of setting would be in the apk xml?
but again were back to, how to extract that on windows 7?
If anyone can Help or assist me to the right direction It will be appreciated.
Got some views but not one single response, Did I post this in the wrong place?

i was looking into the same issue..Can anybody suggest a way to hide an app from app list once the app is installed
Nemus
The only way I know of to do that is to use another launcher. I would recommend Nemus launcher in Google Play. It has settings to hide apps, plus it's a lot smoother than Craperola's launcher :good:

Oh, I see what you're saying. I'm not sure why you'd need to call another APK, why no code it all in one. On the other hand, I'm no coding pro ;P. Anyway, I would post your question in one of these forums, you can probably get more help.

Also, there's lots of apps out there to do this, so if you don't like that particular one then just search the market...

question. I installed this yesterday, everything is great, up until i tried playing anime videos from my dolphin browser and i cant play those videos anymore, tried to uninstall this app and even the browser and still cant play videos, the site will not play the video if there is an adblocker. What do you think can fix this?

If I understand your situation correctly, you:
Installed AdFree
Used AdFree to apply the custom hosts list
Had problems with playing videos from one (or more) web sites
Removed AdFree
Continue to have the same problems with playing videos
If this is roughly the sequence of events, then you should not need to un-install AdFree.
In fact, uninstalling AdFree probably left your hosts file in its modified state (with ad-related sites still blocked).
Instead, you can click on the Revert button in AdFree. This will return your hosts file to its original condition. This also ought to restore joy to whatever web sites are finding AdFree disagreeable.
This should allow you do run ad-free most of the time (click Download & Install Hosts), and disable ads just long enough to view the videos you wish (click Revert).
Hi all. I see this thread has been quite for quite some time. I am hoping someone can help. I have been a user of AdFree for a while. I noticed that one website I frequent is impacted in that I can no longer see the comments section of that particular website. I added the domain in question to the "white list" but that hasn't helped. Can anyone who understands this sort of thing help? I love the functionality it provides, but not being able to comment on my favorite site is an issue. Anyone? Thanks!!
@ShermCraig The workaround I use in these rare cases is to open AdFree, and tap the "Revert" button. Then I can do all the usual stuff on the offending web site (or app). After I'm done, I once again open AdFree and tap "Download & Install Hosts" to regain ad-protection.
Yes, it's ugly, but it is actually pretty quick, but I did promise only a workaround, not a solution.
Question: What do you mean when you say "added the domain in question to the 'white list'"? I don't see that AdFree supports any kind of whitelisting.

I've actually done this and yes it does work temporarily. Unfortunately (for me) I visit the site so frequently that it becomes too much. Trying something else.
In answer to your question: http://adfree.bigtincan.com/ - log in, and there is an exception list.
thanks
Seems Google pulled the app after I paid $3.49. Why do they get to keep the money on an app they pull? It was so much easier than ADB disable packages.
buy this application to disable all the bloatware and it works very well ..

I did (the last time) but it also no longer works.
I emailed the developer, and all I got was a canned automated response:
"Dear User,
We are working to resolve the issue.

**I reinstalled the original downloaded app, and re-entered the license number, and it registered with Knox successfully, and it is now working again.

I purchased it from his web site, and it asks for the license number on installation, I would assume that on the play store version it wouldn't...
ADB is free, it only need USB cable and a free software downloable on internet.
I don't see any reason (unless you don't have access to a computer) to buy an app.
Especially considering you can literally make a list of app to disable and paste it into the command line tool every time it need to get debloated. Takes me 5 seconds at most.

You know I might just do that. I'm tired of all these apps that stop working after a few months. I used like 5 different package disabling apps for S8 and S10 over the last 2.5 years.

Try to remove Package Disabler from recent apps and launch the app again.
Maybe this is a stupid question and I apologize in advance.
But maybe someone can direct me in the right direction.
I want to register an account with my weshare (car-sharing) app.
They authenticate via email which includes a link to the URL "umi-weshare://authorize?blabaasdas" which my browser opens (lineage 18.1 with google-apps).
Of course this fails due to "unknown url scheme" etc.
How does a stock Android handle this link? Turn it over to the right app? But how?
And if so, does a stock Android capture _every_ link I klick on?
How does this work? (normally)

Hmh, this is really strange.
The support says it works on iphone and "normal" Android. (The whole Volkswagen login thing is based on this. So I really believe it works "normally") But I am also sure it does not work on _my_ lineage.... As expected my browser (any browser) opens with an error...
And this is as it should work, I think. But how does it work on all the other phones
(the support also says it _only_ works on smartphones. So there is something happening I don't understand. Something like the OS scanning the URL and passing it to the right app.)

the link doesn't work "as it is" according to the weshare-support.
It magically only works on the phone.... ( it is supposed to work there, the support tells me. )
Ahhh, after one week chatting with the support this diskussion with you gave the right hint!
As you confirmed that the OS does not interfere I had the idea that therefore somehow the browser might pass the token back to the OS somehow..... (I am not a developer)
So I installed chrome on the smartphone and "alas" it works!!!
(chrome on the PC gives xda-open... error which is a hint as well.)
So I _have_ to use Chrome :-(
I already came across the next "bug". The street I live in exists twice in this city but the app only lets me choose the first "hit". So my postal number will be wrong! WTF....
As far as I know, this specially formatted URL like "umi-weshare://authorize?blabaasdas" is called an app link or a deep link.
There are many similar deep links.
For example, some URLs as below:
market://details?id=xadave.SmartUnitConverterFree_Google
amzn://apps/android?asin=B00Q3V4VNC
......
If you enter the second deep link above in the address bar of your mobile browser, it will open up the Amazon Appstore app on your mobile device and directly link to the detail page for a specific app which is available on the Amazon Appstore.
And the first app link will open up the Google Play Store app on your Android devices and directly link to some app in the Play Store.
So, I think your app link, "umi-weshare://authorize?blabaasdas", will link into your weshare app, too.
Android App Links are a special type of deep link that allow your website URLs to immediately open the corresponding content in your Android app (without requiring the user to select the app).
