[REQUEST] Stock Motoblur Contacts.apk - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello guys,
I've just bought a Razr XT910 and I'm really in love with this cellphone, but my carrier (Claro - Brasil) have customized icons that are really annoying me, especially the Contacts.apk (see 1st screenshot). All I want is the stock Motoblur Contacts.apk (see 2nd screenshot). I've already flashed de Retail ICS Rom and the icons remain there. But the Messages, Camera and Gallery (that I've installed from the Razr M thread) are with the stock Motoblur icons. Can someone please upload the stock app or tell me how can I fix this?
Thank you guys!

here you go I copied my system contact stock apk I hope it works for you

Thanks man, but it seems to be more complicated than I thought. When I try to install over the other apk, the system tells me that is already an app with the same signature and etc., and when I uninstall the old apk, the Phone.apk disappears and I can't install the new Contacts..
Any help?

damn sux...have you tried installing with root explorer? and setting the permissions?

Change the original. Bak (example contacts.apk.bak) change permission rw-r-r- and install. Reboot.

Another option
I don't know if you are dead set on getting the stock favorite contacts apk but if you are not, there is one that I have been using for a while. I highly recommend it and it was just recently updated. I can't post the link to it as I don't have 10 posts but PM me and I will be happy to send you the link.

Stock apks

Anyone have the stock apks and odexs or link to them for the milestone X2? Or the DROID X2 if they'll work. I deleted some crap and deleted the contacts apks and odexs and now I can't access the dialer. Im stock 2.3.6 and it seems others wont work after setting the proper permissions and rebooting.
Thanks!

Ill be more specific... I need 2.3.6 apks & odexes of blurcontacts & blur contactssync please. I cant bring up the dialer without. Unless someone has a full stock rooted backup. It would be very appreciated for anyones help. Thanks!

did you not make a nandroid before you did this?
Nah, foolish I know... didn't have recovery set up at the time either. Got anxious and had to tinker before taking necessary precautions.

I'm going to upload starting now and probably post links here in the morning. My nandroid is not quite virgin. I had a few programs and games already installed before a root method was found.
You should data wipe it to protect your privacy. See link in the 3rd or so post above.
OK, I'll wipe it first and then upload

[CWM][MOD][FONT] System-wide Emoji Support (Gingerbread & ICS)

This CWM zip will enable emoji compatibility throughout the system. I believe Jellybean supports it natively and some ICS roms (e.g., CM9) have it. I'm not sure if CM9 support is only in the messaging app, but this zip enables it system wide, which means you'll be able to see them in the browser, Twitter apps, etc. Unfortunately, they only appear in black and white. If there are any problems with flashing, you can manually extract the files to the appropriate directory (/system/fonts) with 644 permissions.
Flash in recovery or manually extract contents
Download
Download 2 (for Shostock 2 and presumably other Samsung ICS roms)

I tried to flash through CWM, but I kept getting an error. Extracted the font files to the font folder with the given permissions in the first post. It wouldn't let me change the permissions.

What's the error.
And to make changes to system files, you have to mount r/w (top right corner if you're using root explorer).

I also got the status error "0" in cwm.
I'm using Root Browser lite. Not sure how to mount to read/write.
EDIT:
I managed to get it working. I had to tweak Root Browser lite to allow me to change permissions. I noticed when you extract the files into the /system/font folder, it doesn't overwrite the old ones; it just renames the extracted files with a "-copy" suffix. I deleted the old files then removed the "-copy" from the extracted files. Rebooted and confirmed its working now.
Thanks for this mod! Now I can see what iPhone users are emoji-ing about...lol

That's correct. I thought I stated that in the OP, but forgot to mention it. Kind of a bummer that it's not in color, but it's better than seeing those empty squares lol.

Since we're replacing the font files with modded ones, the emojis act like regular fonts. They're supposed to be black and white...unless you change your phone's font color to something else.
I think (in theory), the emojis on the iPhone are linked to a certain image based on the character combinations... : ) =, : ( = etc...

Extracted from JJ's hybrid.
Copy into /system/app with file manager (I use ES), reboot.
It will appear in app drawer.
Or do you want some older one, from gingerbread?
That worked great, thanks guys:thumbup:

Remember if you push any apps/mods manually with root explorer to the system folders to set the right permissions.
You could end up with alot of errors otherwise.

Why we could get alot of errors when changing the file in the system when we're doing it right?
If theres an error then either we fix it or do a restoration. thats why always do BACKUP.

Problem with stock SMS app after updating to jelly bean in the razr HD

Hi, guys !
Yesterday I updated my razr Hd to jelly bean by OTA. Everything gone fine, but this morning, when I tried to use SMS, I saw that the stock app were gone!
I tried to reinstall it by the native apk (my phone is rooted) but it doesn't install saying that it was not possible.
Then I installed the Go SMS Pro app to see what would hapen: it worked like a charm! All my old SMS were there and was fully operating.
I tried once more to install the stock apk, but had the same error...
Anyone knows what may be happening? What can I do?
This go SMS pro is very heavy, I don't like and want my stock app back!

Have you made a backup before flashing?
Sent from my MIUI powered Optimus L5.
Try flashing Cm10.1 MMS apk
Try flashing the Cm10.1 MMS Apk. Just search it in the forums. Download the zip. Reboot into recovery. And install zip from sd. Its very similar to the stock messaging but with a couple extra features. If that doesn't work and you really, really need to have your stock MMS back, do a titanium backup of all apps and data then factory reset. Or just flash a custom ROM.

[Q] Accidentally deleted sms-app

hey,
i am on 4.1.2 & rooted. unfortunately i deleted the stock sms app (messaging.apk ? ) and also the .odex file. other messaging apps don't work. now i can't receive or send any messages. i also tried to re-install the 4.1.2 rom but it didn't help, the sms app is still not there.
can anyone upload the apk (and the odex?) from 4.1.2. so that i could copy it to /system/app by using root explorer?
or is it possible to flash the 4.0 sbf now ?
