you mean keep it from rotating? it's in the top right menu area dropdown.
Decrease Accelerometer sensitivity?
Anyone know how to decrease the accelerometer sensitivity? I find that the auto rotation is very sensitive especially when in portrait mode. I looked in preware and could not find any patches. I know i could turn off screen rotation but I really don't want to be forced to turn it off.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA
o i second this... it's a pain sometimes...
+1.
I had to turn it off at the moment as it is really too sensitiv.

Hi guys,
I was looking for some help/advise on a way to fix my stock browser on my GT-i9100 running ICS XWLP7
When I go into the stock browser regardless of the setting my display is too in Setting/display/brightness it instantly gets a lot brighter.
So I change to low power saving mode through the settings of the browser and it dims the screen when using browser, great!
However after doing this when exiting from browser back to home screen it's affected my overall display settings not just browser display, weird!
Not only is my overall display now dim and auto brightness in settings/display/brightness is now off but my phone has also gone from a dynamic display to a standard display mode, even though it is checked as dynamic.
When I move between these 2 screen modes now there is no difference at all. Only a reboot fixes it.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Any help, advise, tweaks or mods to fix this would be most welcomed.
Many thanks in advance and also my apologies if this has already been discussed but I spent hours trauling XDA and couldnt find it anywhere.
Thanks guys!

The display brightness of the browser is independent of the display brightness of the rest of the phone.

So does this mean that my phone isn't working correctly?
I'm aware that the 2 settings should be completely independent of one another but it's definitely not in my case.
It's weird that it alters the display mode too so Standard and Dynamic are the same after changing browser brightness.
If I don't alter the browsers brightness my phone is fine.
Can some one else try on their phone? I have tried factory reset, wipe cache, flash new firmware etc and nothing seems to help!
Thank you for your help
Can no one help me?

Can somebody PLEASE help me with this issue, my friend is also experiencing the same problem so I know it's not just my phone.
We would love to know a way to fix it or if someone else is experiencing the same things.
I would be very very grateful for a little help.
I have the i717 from rogers and currently running the cm9 official rom but it doesnt seem to matter what rom im on I see this werid fluttering brightness thing occurring on any rom. Try my best to describe it, it is like its almost fluttering up or down in brightness levels when about to dim or undim I am wondering if this is maybe a hardware issue with my device that I should get serviced or if it is normal?

I was going to ask what rom .but then had a thought regarding the light sensor on the device .
And I remember reading about sensor calibration and possible causes of fluctuations .
I suppose a search would find that for you ...but check this also ...
Display settings in cm allow light to decrease ...it's a hysterisis setting ...(I butchered that word )
And the settings control flicker in the display . You might try turning those off .
Next is the power saver settings which allow a light decrease also ..after a few seconds of no screen touch ,the light level drops too save power .
And third ...turn off your automatic light level setting in display settings .
I'm thinking three items are conflicting a bit and some mild tuning will fix it ...g
Hey guys.
I'm fairly new to X10 board, as I come from the X8 one, so I'm sorry if I ask a stupid question. I've been searching for an answer, but couldn't really find an unequivocal one.
The question is - how do I turn up autobrightness on CM ROMs on X10? I know it has a sensor, but for some reason, when I install Velis Auto Brightness app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS52ZWxpcy5hdXRvLmJyaWdodG5lc3MiXQ..), it says there's no sensor in my phone at all. Also, there is no settings for autobrightness in either Android or CM settings. I tried the Spare Parts and the widget, but none of those seem to work.
Thank you for any help.

Hello, big problem with screen sensitivity. Really annoying, when typing, only a light touch
brings up multiple or wrong letters. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity?
It is spoiling my experience of an otherwise great phone.
Any advice appreciated. RH.
I had the same issue. Found a potential fix just now. I'm still experimenting... But it does appear to be effective...
Go into settings......Language and Input...scroll to pointer speed...decrease the slider to make the touch screen less sensitive

Hi there, many thanks for your suggestion. I have come across this solution before, unfortunately it does not
seem to make any difference to my touch screen. I have tried Swiftkey in the hope that may make a difference - no luck i'm afraid.
Please let me know if you have any success with your experimenting.
Regards RH.
