The only rom which has less bug is stock rom from sony install the latest .587 ics rom then mod it as you want.
Here are some best mod/port which I like most

You can check real ics, unlimited, real ics lite or minicmsandwich lite..All those are very good and stable roms. Battery consumption varries a little but u cab get a lot more features than official roms and fast as well. All the four roms works with kernel panic. Give it a try and see which one suits u most

If you unlock your bootloader it will void your warranty.
You can do it with testpoint method or very easy official by sony
I would use cyanogenmod 9 with the cm9 kernel! It's like on the galaxy nexus (like a vanilla rom)...

Not sure what you meant mate. If your rom is already rooted, flashing a kernel wont change it
Ya I know
But I was just asking,
Was thinking to flash it over stock!!
Sent from my ST25i using xda premium
you will not lose root unless you flash a stock .ftf file or a rom that (somehow) is not pre rooted

New firmware or new rom?
If that rom is pre-rooted then it is rooted.

So which the fastest-smoothest-most bug free Android version out there?I tried stock GB-ICS and are laggy in menus (which I can't understand why on GB it lags). Is there any bug free CM10,CM10.1,CM10.2 ROM?Is there any chance that CM11 kitkat will be bug free with even bluetooth and NFC working? And I have also another question, why on the CM9.1 I can't use NFC?It's greyed and I can't switch it ON or OFF.Thanks in advance!
I think in cm 9.1 nfc is not included
