[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I-9100 No Network - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked all through here first and need help finding the soulution to a problem with my Handy. I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I-9100, and yesterday it stopped recognizing the sim cards I use in it. It shows no network for any sim card inserted into it. I have never dropped it or got it wet or any issue that would cause it to suddenly stop working. I have no idea what to do can someone please point me in the right direction to solving this isssue.

This has just happened to me on my month old I9100P. Anyone got any ideas?

[Q] Galaxy tab 10.1 3G does not recognise SIM card

Hi there, I have purchased my tab last friday, played around with it during the weekend (root, overclock, etc.) Everything was fine - internet connection via 3G and WiFi, battery life and so on. However after I swithed off my tab on sunday evening and left it on charger, monday morning I realised that galaxy tab 10.1 does not recognise any SIM cards. The device itself is unlocked here, in Lithuania.
Any ideas what might have caused this strange behaviour? Everything else is working fine.
Hi!
I have the same problem, started about a week ago. SIM-card just looses connection at random times. Mostly when i've just left it in the charger for an hour or two.
A reboot is needed then it's working as normal.
What do you think? Should i return it?
Did you try and setup the APN manually?

Obviously...
The thing is that device itself does not recognise SIM card. Once You try to configure APN manually, it sais "please insert SIM card" :-(
and reboot doesnot help...
I have this issue too! I thought i was the only one experiencing this.
I have this problem 1 time, but i tried to switch sim with the one in my phone and it worked. Afther i switched back again and still working.
I got the problem afther my tab have been switch off for 5 days.

Well, after I left device in one of authorised dealers, they acknowledged the problem and offered to replace this Tab. So it turns out, one can only hope, that it does not happen to him...
Hi guys
Turns out all my problems were caused by overclock kernel. Today my tab was replaced so first thing I did was root it again and make a back up. Then I installed OC zip file from SD card via CWM recovery. Guess what? Device did not recognise SIM card again... luckily I had a back up ROM. After I went back to the original ROM everything was OK.
So be careful before over locking your tabs.

I'm using a competely stock Galaxy Tab, and it's still happening quite frequently.

is there any solution found?
sim is ok on my htc desire but tab 10.1 cant detect it.
it has stop suddenly while browsing some news sites.
reboot does not help
i tried with another SIM also, same problem - cant detect SIM card at all,
when trying to open Mobile Network it says - Please insert SIM Card or something simllar.
Also i found that in About Phone - Status, IMEI and IMEI SV are Unknown, Serial is OK, is this normal?
Look I know this is a dumb question, but have you rebooting the tab after inserting the Sim? A client of mine had the same issue and we struggled for days until we realized we hasn't tried that. Sure enough that was the issue.
I think the tab only tries to access the Sim card on bootup.
Sorry if you have already tried this.

Same issue here .. I picked up the tab on a business trip in India and it worked fine while I was in India . I came back to UK and tried a UK SIM and it does not recognize a Vodafone Sim , Giff Gaff but recognizes 3 . Even though it recognizes 3 it does not let it register on network.

[HELP] galaxy note 10.1 cannot register on network

I have just bought a galaxy note 10.1 n8000 3g+wifi for 1 month My tablet still worked well until I take its sim card out, and use it for my 3G USB. This USB seemed to be broken down, so that my computer was frozen every time I plug it in. I put my sim back into galaxy note 10.1, and a problem occurred. My Note 10.1 cannot register on network even I see a full signal bar; meanwhile, a notification showed that "the selected network is unavailable". When I try to make a call, it's appeared to be "Not registered on network". At first, I think this problem can simply solved by changing the sim card, but the real tragedy is that this problem continue occur regardless how many sims I buy from many different network providers. Those sims still work on other devices, hence this error certainly is from my tablet. Its firmware is stock 4.1.1 and rooted, I have tried to solve this error by reset factory, unroot, change to another rom, but they're all usless. Now, it only allows emergency calls. So, any help, suggestion or solution is appreciated
Very sorry for my bad English! Thank you
Your in the wrong device forum, this is the first gen Galaxy Tab, has nothing to do with the Note.

strange simlock on galaxy s2

Hello. Let me start by saying that i have searched the forum for an answer to my questions but didn't seem to find one so i apologize if someone already give a solution to my problem.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 that i believe was rooted in order to network unlock it. After a software glitch i had to take it to a service shop. After they took care of the software problem the phone works grate except for one thing, ig got locked to the sim card (phone number) that was in use at that time. Now, it will not work with any other sim card, even if it is from the same carrier (if i am not mistaking, i even tried a new sim card with the same phone number as the first sim and it still did not work).
Do you know what the problem might be and/or how to solve it? has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks

Just one SIM will not work with my phone

Hello everyone, i have a Galaxy S3 with cyanogenmod 10.1 installed. This morning my cellphone started to give me no signal, I initially though it might be some problem with my carrier, but clearly this is not the case. I tried to swap SIM cards with my mom cellphone (another S3 with ROM stock), and the two SIM worked. I put again the two SIMs in the respective phone, and my phone still couldn't get signal with MY SIM, while with my mother's there weren't any problem
Basically: my phone can't read MY SIM out of the blue, but my SIM works with other phones. And my phone aswell works with other SIM. This seems to me without any sense. Can someone figured out why it does this?
I tried to wipe the phone, change rom (from cyano 10.1 to 10.2), the issue is still there.
