I wanted to see if a titanium backup of my old poweramp with beat audio would work on my I9300. Or something to that matter. Anyone have idea if could ever work?

Frying Pans!!! Who knew?!!!
Not sure about the back up but I'm running both on a clean install. As per the roots beats audio installer in order to remove the drivers you need to reinstall the Rom over it so I guess you're ok with the back from poweramp.
For the sound it's amazing through a good pair of headphones lots of bass, just make sure to make a nandroid first, the last update soft brick my unit and its mix some folks reported no sound or garbeling when taking ...a nandroid a day keeps bricks away

You need warranty then. Reset counter with triangle away, flash back original firmware and send it back to samsung.

To the OP:
I don't mean to be rude but A bit more info is needed "than my speaker don't work" if u want guys to try help u on here.
You need to let people know stuff like:
**what firmware is on ur phone,
**did u flash something?
**Did u drop ur phone?
**Did it get wet?
Otherwise ur post will be ignored and get lost in the flurry of xda.

That would void warranty if you mean what you say .

Warranty repair...
I have flashed siyah kernel(latest) and have DSP manager in ma ROM. And it gives awesome bass effects in ma stock headphones already. So,my question is, is beats much more super than this? Which is preferable?which is better?do share ur experience.

Hmmm.. anyways will try, but if I dont want beats in mine after flashing it,how do I revert back to original?

I have tried both and find bass from beats to be much more deeper and clearer on my V-Moda M80's.
You can always use titanium backup to remove unwanted apps but make sure you backup before you do anything
DSP.....beats is a gimmick! You can achieve better sound with DSP
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
You get better sound control and customization out of DSP.

DSP is alright...Beats is alright...lol...the settings on DSP can be effy sometimes...but not a major...Beats...well basically just a pre tweaked equaliser...
I have had better sound quality just by tweaking the settings under ST with the orignal Samsung music player equaliser...best to try all options to establish your own preference...

Probably depends upon what youi listen to .
BOOM BOOM then no but if you just want to tweak slightly the sound output to be a bit wider and slightly louder then use DSP manager .

Because half of the people who buy beats headphones etc don't realise that beats is just software. The whole point of beats is to hear a pin drop amongst the music your listening to. This can easily be achieved with dsp or even the stock Samsung music player.

Not really. This has been the case since S3 was launched, I think, and nobody is all that bothered with it. Our else, you would have seen a huge hue and cry over it.

i just noticed this also recently, tried searching for a fix but none exist. even using the latest ROM, the problem is still there.
using RecForge to record audio, the audio is reversed.
It was the same on the Galaxy S2 and nobody seemed to complain about that to otherwise they would have probably fixed it on S3.
Meh it should be fixed even if no one complain about it... i mean it's a flagship device.. that kind of bugs are just annoying to see on such a premium phone.. i dont know if its a hardware or software problem.
