It's an upgrade for GingerBread not for ICS. If you're already with ICS, of course, you'll not see any update. The message however will come to everyone. At least, we have our warranty back! Cheers
Finally! Now just wait for the update to JB

I'll get One X+ soon as it comes out later this month.

I was ironic about the update JB. The history of Motorola does not allow us to dream. I received notification of ICS but it was with the last rom. I am thinking seriously about buying a HTC next year. A pity that only meet the Mercado Livre in Brazil.

This forum is simply going to die due to a lack of hacking going on since Sony said that it is closed source.

why isbthis tab still closed source lol it's just stupid I'm at the point where I almost want to sell it because some of the things which could be improved by hacking are killing my experience with this tab

I got this email after talking to Sony:
Thank you for your recent email. We appreciate your feedback and concerns. We acknowledge that you would like Sony to unlock the boot-loader and root for all Sony Tablet models. Although the Android is an open source platform, Sony as a manufacturer reserve the right to modify this on the Tablet device, to maintain the stability and performance of the Tablet.

I simply did a reply laughing at the quote "...to maintain the stability and performance of the Tablet".
According to one of the Sony Support staff in the next email after talking about the issues with the camera from the looks of it that person was not happy when I talked about the bootloader and rooting, Trololololo...

You don't say...
They say the most obvious things like factory resetting when that issue is coming to take a bite again.

The problem is that they are Customer SUPPORT, they are not the android developers, they are not even developer support so they will never help with advanced issues.
I ended up in the highest level of support but guess what?, they can't even help.

Oct.15 Sony maintenance update for XZU/Z1

http://m.androidcentral.com/sony-pushes-out-maintenance-updates-xperia-z1-z-ultra
Anyone received it yet? Any noticeable improvements?
I'll post up findings once I receive it.

Eh... Should've put this in general. If possible, please move this mods.
Additionally, check out the Sony blog for further details:
http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2013/10...e-for-xperia-z1-and-xperia-z-ultra/#more-9857
Seems there may be a recalibration of the screen, improvements to the battery, etc. Nice.

Well spotted and thanks for the heads up? I haven't received it yet on o2 in UK, wonder if operators will check it out first before releasing it or it'll come direct from Sony servers.
Edit... Yeah, it's being reviewed by carriers first so will likely take a few weeks before its pushed out.

aaaand that is good news.

Hahaha it's all good, as long as other people know and hopefully someone gets the update pushed out soon that can give us some info.
Mine shouldn't be tied to a carrier, so I should be receiving it soon (fingers crossed).

When your device batch gets the update. As ALWAYS, it comes in batches. My XTZ got the notification for the .109 update to weeks ago. At that day, that update had been released for over 2 months.

Mine turned up just a couple of days ago, so they seem to be slowly updating people.
I am in the USA and still haven't got my 4.4.2. I check the update app daily and every few days PCCompanion. I am getting a bit perterbed as I have had it on my Xperia c6833 phone for months.
