Hi, can someone please upload me the APKs for Google Talk, Google Voice Search(not Google Voice), and Gmail(tablet, two columns version if available) that works for the latest Jetstream. Must have deleted them unintentionally and I don't have my ROM files anymore. I already tried downloading again the ROMs that haven't been deleted yet but always timed out because my internet is so bad and no resume, still trying right now but maybe someone can be so kind and just get me those files only.
If you want to send me via email: h4rr33[at]gmail[dot]com
Thanks! :victory:

What about using Search?
Or Just use Google and search for "Google Apps xyz"

Here you go.
Apk files attached. Don't know if they would install as it is or you would need to flash them in the form of an update.zip with the files in folder /system/app

...I did. Why don't you enlighten me with some links that has working apks! I've tried transformers apks and while gmail works(one column), GTalk FC and I can't for the life of me find Voice Search. Honeycomb APKs aren't that many in circulation, especially the ones that work for 3.1.

Clear data from settings>Applications>Manage Applications and it should recognize your cloud music.
Alright, thank you. It worked, alright. If you want an invite PM your address.
Has anyone come across an issue where the app won't recognize your stored music? I have no problem pulling stuff down from the cloud, but I would like for it to recognize synced playlists from my PC as well...

You must install using a root file manager in system/app for it to work correctly

Sorry for the delay, the invites were sent out. You guys got the last 2.

I have been searching for way to make an apk file. I am currently using titanium back up to retrieve my apps. But I want the ability to send an actually apk to another individual. I tried changing the the extension through my file explorer but that didn't work. Any suggestions or answers? I hope this isn't a noob question. Thanks.

You can use https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwyLDEsImNvbS5idW1wdGVjaC5idW1wZ2EiXQ..bump
However, the recipient has to have bump installed too to receive apps.

Bump will just send the market link. I think what u want is to send paid apps to friends which I'm not sure is possible
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Well not necessarily paid apps. For example. My friend has the Motorola Droid razor (not rooted) but wishes he still had his car home app. I currently have this app installed (ICS by neobuddy) and I want to package the app into an apk so I can send it to him.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Just upload it to a Dropbox account and he can get on via his phone or PC and download it. Or pull a copy of your APK out of either /system/app or /data/app and put it on your SD card. Plug your card into his computer or phone and pull it off, install and Bam!! there it is.
I have tried sending APKs through gmail and it won't do it b/c gmail won't allow executables to be sent (whole virus protection thing and all-so i guess it is a good thing).
Worst case scenario, you upload it here, he logs on and pulls it off but beware of uploading paid apps as you will be banned. Your call.
I send apk files through gmail quite often. I use astro to make a backup, then send it through astro using the gmail app.
Thank you for the help. Really appreciate it.

Hi,
Each time I receive a zip file by email with native gmail app or even native e-mail app my device tell me this is not permitted because zip files might contains malicious code...
Since i'm not a child I think I should be able to change this behavior but it seems impossible.
Is there a way to correct this ?

Im using the statet app in this post and i think it works
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1350606.html
heres the app link https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5od2tyYmJ0LmRvd25sb2FkYWxsIl0.
Many thanks for your help.
But this is not what I'm looking for : I never give permission to any app to read my mails.
I'm looking for a native way to do it and if there's not then I will post it as a bug in Google groups.
Seriously... how can Google give us no way to read zipped document sent by mails?

Hello,
I was wondering if I could replace Samsung's messaging app with Google's SMS/MMS app or just install Google's. I really prefere Google's one but for some reason I want to keep a Samsung-based ROM (not for Touchwiz launcher, but some apps like the Camera with no shutter lag, S-Memo which I use with my C-Pen,...)
Yes you can, but you need first remove the stock messaging app

You can pull the apk out of CM10 build.. Push it in system/app after renaming.. But keep in mind your smses will not be threaded..

Try this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/....com.android.mms&feature=search_result#?t=W10.
I was going to use it myself but decided to stick with handcent which i've been using since GBread.
I expect you can do with this app what i done with handcent, - go into stock app - setting disable notifications, go to app manager the disable the stock message app - setup notifications on new message app and you should be good to go.
The dev also got the google calender etc too.
Hope this helps and works - let us know :good:

I extracted my MMS apk from my cm10 ROM, download it: http://db.tt/kCXioNLo
then use root explorer to copy it to system/app folder.
Then you set the right permissions (all of the first row checked and first of second row only, if in doubt check on the other apps permissions and set the same)
And the look for Semms.apk (or something like this), backup and delete it

I made a flashable cwm package for you .
It does every thing itself.
enjoy,
Thanks all ! But i've no thread in sms/mms, you have an idea ?
You will not get threaded messages in aosp messaging app.. Use the app someone posted from the market.. It is modded to be used in Stock roms
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Is there really no way to have threads with the original file ? I remember when I got the Galaxy Nexus for a week, I had threads on my SMS/MMS app. With the app on Android Market I'm having issues with LightFlow and the unread count from Apex Launcher doesn't work

I'm currently on the Sprint S3, and I flashed your package. All went well, but when I tried to send a picture message, it force closed the app. When I tried to re-open the thread, it just force closes.
Btw, is there any way to get the little message icon in the lockscreen for this replacement? I miss being able to slide outward on that message icon to be presented with the latest thread.
Had an update to Google search this morning. Supposedly it now allows apps to be launched.
So far I can only get Gmail to open. Tried searching for more info but no luck.
Anyone else discovered what else opens? Is it just a few Google apps that work or is it up to the devs to allow their stuff to launch.
Edit: clock and calculator works, settings & browser doesn't

Thanks but these are old commands.
The new ones only became available today after doing the update, cant find these ones listed anywhere. There is an actual link in Google now but it just opens the default help section.
