i have the same problem and i've solved that.
just copy the file (stuff, RunMe.bat, etc) in the folder, change the name of the folder to something else like 'root' or something you like, and copy the folder C: directory on your PC.
and then open command prompt, just type cmd start > search if u in windows 7
and in command prompt type cd C:\root
and then type RunMe.bat
and just following the instructions how to root our XU.
sorry for my bad english

Thanks for the reply azfar!
Can you update to .54 after root? I believe not!
Is there a revert feature in the PC companion?
Also can you please provide your feedback here for the devs to know, because I can't with my current post count:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916702
You cant root .54 firmware with this or anything
You need to flash kernel of B.10 first then root and then flash .54 Kernel afain
Get C here Better than B.54

My partner has an X10 that I would love to test this on but has recently been upgraded to the latest firmware. Sorry.
My worry would be not having tools like nandroid as a safety net.

First, Thank you for this reply...
my scripts aren't for UPGRADE FW, it goal is to
root (have an administrator access),
help to install MANY applications in one time
help to delete some constructor's applications (who get your device slowly)
Help to istall a theme (because it's a litle bit difficult on FW 026)
Help to istall a Bootscreen (because it's a litle bit difficult on FW 026)
Then you can test it... dont worry, i tested with my french testers...
I just want to help you... International users !!!

If you want to be on 026, try this method (Debrand) :
download the FW 026 here
unrar it, there 2 files..
launch SEUS, do a repair... SEUS will download the actual FW of your X10, flash it with it..
when done, go to C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs (on Windows Vista/7 )
there 2 big files (16Mo and 130Mo)
copy the NAME of le 16mo's files in this directory (SEUS Directory).. past it on the 16Mo of the downloaded FW on my link. do the samething with the bigger file (130Mo)...
Replace the to files in SEUS directory with the 2 files downloaded...(overwrite)
launch SEUS and flash it again with the repair method...
It's done... your X10 will be on 026 after the flash...
Ok. You can use each functionality separately... try to change a theme or bootscreen ? There no danger..
It can be in both section... because it help to apply a theme AND to root a 02x fw.
It's not the probem.
I just want to know if there somebody has use my script ?
If not why you are afraid ?
I let my work here 1 month again... after, i delete it.. be cause i dont want to use this forum storage for something that nobody use it..
sorry double post
So now got android 2.1 for my x10 mini and im trying to remove the sms limit. I've been trying to follow this guide below. But im having some trouble. Im not very good at this. I've rooted my phone with the superoneclick program. So im pretty sure i did that correct. I have superuser app that works. So it should be okay. right?
I got stock here:
Microsoft Windows [version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. Alle rettigheder forbeholdes.
C:\Users\Bomber>cd desktop
C:\Users\Bomber\Desktop>cd b

* daemon started successfully *
# sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
sqlite3: not found
#
But sqlite3 is in the folder. But it says daemon started succesfully atleast.
So anyone got an idea? What am i doing wrong?

How To Remove the 100 SMS Per Hour Limit
1. Open a command prompt if you haven’t done so already.
2. Navigate to your android-sdk-windows folder, or if you followed our guides for root, your C:\Android\tools folder. Below is the code to change directories.
cd C:\Android\tools
3. Once you’ve navigated there, enter the following commands, one per line. Do not enter anything in red, this is for informational purposes, and what will display on your command prompt.
C:\Android\tools> adb shell
# sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
SQLite version 3.5.9
Enter “.help” for instructions
sqlite> INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES(‘sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms’, 0);
INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES(‘sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms’, 0);
sqlite>
This second string of commands essentially removes the limit completely. It doesn’t matter if you do one or both, but if you do the second one, it will basically be a waste of time if you did the first one already. Enjoy your limit removal!

Do you mean sqlite3.exe is in the same folder as adb?
I'd have done the following:
1) adb shell, su, cp /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db /sdcard/settings.db
2) adb pull /sdcard/settings.db
3) sqlite3.exe settings.db
4) INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES(‘sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms’, 0);
5) typed: .exit
6) adb push settings.db /sdcard/settings.db
7) adb shell, rm /settings.db, cp /sdcard/settings.db /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db /sdcard/settings.db
Although this is untested - I hardly send 100 texts a week let alone an hour
I need a little more guidens than that. Sorry im a noob. I only got a android phone for a few weeks now.
Tell me what to download and where to install it. Becouse im not sure if i did that right.
And tell me what to do step by step. What to open or install on pc or phone. And what commands to type. Becouse im sure im doing something totally wrong.

Yes it is. Its a folder called android-sdk_r07-windows but a renamed it to just "b" as you can see from my prompt. And it lies on my desktop om my computer. And then i open a command prompt on the computer and follow the guide i found. But im probally doing something wrong. Right?
Got a little futher now. Got sqlite opened now. Now im stock on unable to open database. /cry pls help
c:\android-sdk-windows\tools>sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/
SQLite version 3.6.22
Enter ".help" for instructions
Enter SQL statements terminated with a ";"

...> INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES('sms_outgoing_check_interval_
ms', 0);
Error: unable to open database "/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/": unable to open database file
also got this error on one try:
...> INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES('sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms', 0);
Error: near ".": syntax error

you've never got SU permissions.
I think you should copy the databases on your computer, edit and Overwrite older version with the new one.
On Android 2.3
If you are using Android 2.2 or 2.3, then follow the same instructions as above, but run the following SQL instead:
Code:
INSERT INTO secure (name, value) VALUES ('sms_outgoing_check_max_count', 999999999);
INSERT INTO secure (name, value) VALUES ('sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms', 0);
how about 4.0.3 AOSP
How about 4.0.3 AOSP on G2? I tried the code you gave fore 2.3 but have not yet had a chance to test it for 4.0.3
Many thanks

Any other thoughts?
I ask support OMAP4 developers
I have a question
I find myself in the situation of having a decompiled firmware aos
I extracted androidmerged.squashfs.secure
I mounted androidmerged.squashfs.secure
I have the tree and Android
[email protected]:/media/backup/test/ludo_firmware_archos_it4x/root/data/squashfs-root# ls
acct config dev home init.rc lib opt sbin sys ueventd.goldfish.rc var
bin data etc init init.trace.rc linuxrc proc sdcard system ueventd.rc vendor
cache default.prop gps init.goldfish.rc init.usb.rc mnt root storage tmp us
Now the second step is insert S.U. and Superuser.apk and close
question : I can close everything and try to flash it (compile .aos like an update) ?
or Nebula_neagra method:
do I have to convert androidmerged.squashfs.secure in archos.ext4 similar to nebula_neagra zip and using the same batch file ?
or Surdu_petru (and others) installation guide:
( copy / paste )
connect USB cable & check if USB debugging is already enabled !
put archos.ext4 in your device ( root directory ! ) , or using adb command :$ adb push archos.ext4 /mnt/storage ;
go to recovery -> Developer Edition Menu -> Remove Android Kernel ( if exist ! ) -> Flash Kernel & Initramfs -> copy here zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo in the new drive that appears !
OK -> wait to reboot -> enjoy the new rom : BlueAndroid !
hanks to anyone who can help me
ok I found the answer ...
( downgrade ) your device to android ICS - Archos Firmware 4.0.26 for sde
Now I have another question
how to convert androidmerged.squashfs.secure in ext4?
zImage
initramfs.cpio.lzo
are equal
the difference between 101xs and tvconnect are the controller auto pairing
so I have to use the Android specific for tv connect
I can create an ext4 and copy file from androidmerged.squashfs.secure?
I have to create a specific size?
Hi, I have a stock Tablet Z on 10.7.A.0.222
I have successfully unlocked the bootloader via instructions on xperia firmware. However I have been unable to root it or install twrp.
I am a complete noob at this but the tablet is running incredibly laggy as stock so want to refresh it. I was using this guide:
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/xperia-tablet-z-cm14-cyanogenmod-14-nougat-7-0-rom/
In that guide I got to 1b which led me to this guide for installing recovery:
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/install-twrp-recovery-android-using-fastboot/
When i try to do step 6 the tablet shuts off and does not go into bootloader mode where I can flash twrp.
Can someone provide direction on what I need to do differently? I have done various searches on this site and I believe there is not a recovery installed in this firmware version or something and that is preventing me from being able to do this step but I am not sure how I get around that.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or what I need to do differently?
I have rooted my phones before and installed different ROMs but something seems to be off here.

forget about root. To install TWRP to FOTA or custom ROM, you don't need it.
Proceed with step 7.

thanks a lot, I did that, got lineage installed, worked fine, then when I followed the directions to install gapps and rebooted it just keeps loading twrp and not to lineage. I tried wiping and starting over and getting the same thing. Is there something I need to do differently? I used gapps arm 7.1 neon 20181118
thanks again
