Ok, opened my new toy 10 minutes ago
Read reports that PS Touch was pre-installed, but it's not there. Not even available in store. Anyone else similar?
Three network, UK.
Time to hunt out the .apk methinks...
neither with mine, here in Italy
it says, not compatible with my device...
No photoshop touch, no moleskine, no polaris office, no multi-window, no screen recording ... etc
The XXALIE firmware seems like a beta, or maybe it's just A LIE ...

I wonder if it has something to do with the regions in regards to missing apps (although I can't see PS Touch being included in this phone), I checked the CSC and it's showing as XEF as opposed to CPW or XEU the common ones to find in the UK, mine was bought from Handtec.
It'll be interesting to open up the hidden.img from a ROM release (once they start being released/leaked) to see if they're are any goodies we're missing, that we may get by ripping out of the img file or just changing the CSC to the correct region we're in.

BTU is the unbranded UK CSC for s3 and Note2
Its on the note 10.1 and not the note 2

I've been testing N2 since 2 months and have to say the LIE firmware is just OLD
The most recent firmware comes from Oct 2, and it has fully implemented multi-windows, screen recording. But I don't see Photoshop Touch at all.
Those ones, who don't have that features must wait for update. I think it's gonna be that month.
Im on vodaphone uk and ive had an update today. I now have multiwindows which I didnt have yesterday
Ill see which firmware version I have now and if ps has appeared.

Ive uploaded the modified photoshop apk to dropbox which I've tried on my Note 2 running Omega V3 and it runs perfectly. Hope it helps you guys.

Thanks for the link and the signed app.
Installed Photoshop Touch on Note 2 (last original firmware) and it works very well. The only problem is the screen resolution. As the application it targeted the tablets, on the Note 2 screen everything is quite small... But anyway, is working well (using pen)!

This is one of the apps that was splashed all over the online demo videos. I'm quite upset to see that it is not on my new T889. It is a great device, but what was promised was not what was delivered.

I've waited for months and months for the new ICS update. And now its here I can't bloody get it. I dont feel comfortable doing the update via flashing but rather wait for the official.
When I open samsung kies on my desktop it says that i'm on the latest version!
All my friends have upgraded via Kies or manually through the phone but why is my phone different!

In this form this is definitely not true because my unbranded phone with stock rom+no root had already been updated weeks ago to ICS by KIES.
What is said above may still be true for your country, that is what you should check first.

Yeah I don't think there is an unbranded UK ICS rom for SG2 just yet.. take the plunge and flash that **** up. You'll never look back!
Once you flash you never go back mate!
Just flashed mine with a custom rom and its a brand new world for me.
Just make sure you do your reading before you do anything so as to avoid any bad surprises.

Okay now that I have the greatness that is jelly bean on my phone I find myself yearning for a few things gs3 stock has. The camera to begin with and its burst shots and continuous recording while taking snap shots. Secondly the video player with its live tiles and popup video. And this one is minor but s memo and the Samsung planner lol. Anyone feel the same? I love Google now but I really miss a lot of those Samsung features oh and one last Big thing all the motions!!!

Some you can get an app like it for example check out super video in the market, the motion stuff I find it annoying myself so I don't used them, I been in android for a few years and s memo I never use I guess I got used to always download apps for that kind of stuff, the only thing is definitely better is the camera IMO

I wanted to try cm10 but didn't because of this. The new software is what makes this phone the gs3. Not all of it is bad. I personally don't have anything against tw sure it doesn't look amazing compared to stock ics but you get used to it.
The camera has to be the best I've seen so far though.

But hopefully cyanogenmod team will come up with something for these other features such as the motions and camera

CM10 wipes
Just came back to the rom scene after a long hiatus. Will I have to wipe with every CM10 update or can i just nandroid, flash and go?

What is the Samsung Suite? I looked on the Play store and did not see anything like that.
So apparently we got screwed out of the Screen Recording feature ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j-oTLGPUEY ), there's an app on the market called "ScreenRecorder", I keep getting "Fatal Error!" has anyone been able to get it to work?
What is up with Verizon taking so many useful applications that came with the phone off it? Bet there was a problem with their bloatware and the apps. Even then keep the apps and fictions and lose the bloat!

What ROM is this? Mine doesn't have screenrecorder.apk
Pretty sure i heard this feature was not released because of legal problems being that you could record netflix movies and stuff like that
If you read the youtube comments, NOBODY has it working on any stock rom. Not even international versions.

i got note 3 launcher work from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461583 and widget and other things work perfectly but its need 320 dpi to work soon i will release new rom with 320 dpi but its need to resize some png in framework-res.apk and phone and contacts and masseging apk and gallery work but things that not working is alarm (for now i use morning app from this thread) camera not working i will try s4 camera from arsaw thread and see if its work i try to port s4 secsettings but its fc sometimes and there is new options in display settings like high sensitivity option so you can touch screen with gloves on your hand and its working and another option i forget the name but its change the color of the white color in browser i enable it but i didnt see any changes maybe its not working on lcd screens the good news is i managed to use smart scroll and smart rotation and smart pause but smart pause not working on galaxy mega video player i will try with s4 vedioplayer apk and see if work here is some screenshots

It's the overflow-like buttons (... next to the comment and like buttons)
Using a long press on the image might cause the user to unintentionally like a photo by mistake, so I opted for that instead.

It's not hard to repost? Just download and then select to upload. Just like you would with any picture. Not trying to be an ass. I mean the developer gave us this wonder app to download. It could take him hours/days of work trying to implement this option when its not really needed. Get me?
