A while ago I was looking for ways to install a custom rom to my HTC Titan (europian)
i have downloaded this file:
htcfanboys<dot>com/download/cotulla/?action=view&file=10777 (i,m not yet allowed to post links)
and accidentally clicked on 'romupdateutillity' (...1_spl025/titan) when my phone was connected in usb mode (I don,t know the right word for it but it was in the screen that you get when you start up with pressing [volume up]+[volume down]+[on/off].
at this point an installer immediatly starts and it starts to install the program on my phone.
I let the phone finish and form this point forward it wont start up, butt simply keep hanging in the white/green HTC screen.
I figured it could be smart to finish the installation while I was at it so I also runned 'DFT_HSPL_WP7SG1_INSTALL' in the 2_HSPL folder.
After this it still wouldn't start up.
I am a pretty upset at this moment and I wonder if there's anything I can still do to fix my telephone.

I don,t really know what it al means but this is the information it gives in the USB screen.
As you probably guessed: i,m fairly new to this kind of things. so if you would know an answer to this problem i,d appreciate a simple step-by-step procedure to get my phone up and running again.

i have tried shell tool a number of times and cant get it werking i read the HTML instructions and nothing is werking this is th esteps i use...
Clean Shipped rom installed
1.i put in the two cab files
2.i unplug the phone.
3.i install both files
4.i restart the phone
5.plug-in the usb
6.use the shell tool...
7.shelltool (Not Responding)
8.Completed
9.hard reset
10.get stuck on splah screen..
whats the matter with it?
can someone give me better knowledge on this becuase i have tried this once and werked perfectly with windows Business V.2 plz help!!

Go back and read some more. Basically im going to tell you what you already know.
Do you know if you have a G3/G4 phone? Dont know read the stickies at the top of the forums to find out. This info is important if you dont want your ppc to be a paperweight.
Are you flashing back to an official carrier rom each time it fails?
Once you install the two cab files wait about 5 minutes then restart using the power button. Plug it back into your PC. Make sure there is nothing running in the background like any spyware or antivirus. Disable these until the process is over. Take out your memory card if you have one. Go into your comm manager and turn off your radio(so no one calls during the flash and mess' it up).
Now once you do all of the above now you can start the process. Once the process has started just get away from the computer, dont use it at all not even to check your email,surf the web, play solitaire, just go take the trash out or let your dog run loose for a few minutes. Make sure you check the time you start.
Anyways when it is has started, shelltools says about 15 mins. If yours says "not responding", thats ok, just let it sit for about 30 mins(sometimes shell will freeze up like it has for me). Now after about 30 mins have passed go ahead and disconnect everything. Now give it a hard reset(Hold the comm manger and voice dial buttons while sticking the stylus into the reset hole, take it out. Dont let go of the two buttons until it tells you to press the send button. Press send and now you should able to use your newly upgraded wizard. Give it a little bit of time as it will be a little slow booting up. Some people are lucky and its goes through the first time and others arent and have to do it 3 or 4 more times to get it right.
Now this is where i get mean and tell you to go back and read its easy to get cocky and think you know it all but once it all goes bad, ouch there goes some patches of hair on your head.
Im not calling you cocky now, im just saying it seems easy but its easy to make simple mistakes also. SO all in all Good luck man.
So I was trying to fix my start menu problem, by installing a new rom, and now im stuck at this screen that is red green blue and white stripes, and says
"TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.4.0 Olipro
CPLD-9"
doing a hard reset did nothing! Brought me right back to the striped screen.
Explain it like your talking to someone who doesn't know much about phones, like me!

Well what you have is good so far because it is what you want to see, but more info is needed like what ROM are you trying to load and stuff like that. If you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to short cut the process then read the threads that talk about this and you just do the next steps:
1) Flash the unlocker (thats what you have done and where you are now)
2) Flash the ROM (Thats what you need to do now)
3) Flash the Radio (if you don't do this then you will really get scared)
4) Reload all your stuff and enjoy.
thanks for the reply, how do I begin to flash the rom? I've downloaded so many and run them with winrar and nothing happens it just stays at that screen.
i'm also very pissed off because I hard reset hoping to get out of this stupid screen and now im still there, with out any data. I'm stupid and didnt backup either so now i'm really screwed...
you need to run the rom loader - winrar is not a rom loader.
Download a ROM and the ROM Update Utility. Place the ROM's .nbh file into the RUU folder and run the RUU.
Read around, it's not difficult.
When I try to run the RUU, it says error 260 connection, even though my computer detects it, and it says USB on the bottom of the phone... anyone know whY?
Make sure your USB connection in ActiveSync is turned off. You may need to reboot.
alright I'll check when I get home... but when I did have it connected, activesync didn't detect it, so I dont know if thats what you mean or not.

I am new here, but after many searches I found out that this forum can be quite useful. Unfortunately I couldn't find the answer to my problem. Here you go, I start very well for my first thread:
I just got a HTC one M7 international version GSM from a friend, very nice phone and it was already rooted and had Trickdroid installed on it. I started to talk to my friend and he told me I should install KIt Kat on the phone... and from there it went all wrong...
I tried to install a KIT KAT rom I found online, it didn't work and the phone wouldn't start anymore, I would just have access to recovery mode (CWM is installed) and fastboot/bootloader. From there, the phone wasn't recognized anymore by my pc when connected to USB. I then used a mini USB cable to connect a USB key with different .zip file to load them to the phone.
After many attemps, one file finally worked (all the other would abort installation), it was insertcoin M7 kustomizer... I know I should have had reloaded Trickdroid 11.0.0 on it, but it was taking ages to download and went the fast way... which was a really bad decision I guess.
After the installation of insertcoin, the phone rebooted and... rebooted...and keeps rebooting to the HTC white screen (with the red warning: this build is for...)... it goes on and on...
Only thing I can do is hold the volume down key when it reboots and then it takes me to fastboot/bootloader. From there when I try to go to recovery mode it goes to recovery mode for half a second and reboot directly to the white HTC screen over and over again....
Also, USB device is not recognized (but strange, HTC sync manager starts even though it tells me no phone is connected).
Now I have the Trickdroid 11 file ready (1.1GB) but there is no way to install it on the phone... I really don't see how to do it anymore, did I really screw up big time and my phone is more or less a dead weight?
I am going to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the end of the week, maybe someone will be able to find a solution for me...
I shouldn't have touched a phone that was working very well....I know...

Is the all in one tool going to help? I installed it but since my phone is not recognized by the computer (windows 8.1) when connected via USB, I don't seem to be able to do anything...

This is all if you can find a way to get files to your phone...
I'm not sure which recovery you have but when upgrading from Android 4.2.2, and 4.3 the recovery you are using needs to be updated to the most current version. For example if you are running TWRP recovery you need to be running TWRP 2.6.3.3 for everything to run smoothly. In order to do this though you will need to download your original ROM (No matter how long it takes). Then go google play store and download goo.im and update you recovery with openrecoveryscript and update from there and you should be fine. I would also like to note that it's fully recommended that when you flash 4.4 KK you do a full wipe. This means userdata/cache/dalvik cache wipe, otherwise you will run into problems. Let me know if I missed anything or if you have anymore questions!

After my htc one freezing on the 'quietly trickdroid' loading screen my phone will now not turn on, AT ALL! I think it's screwed : S
I just arrived in Kuala Lumpur and took it to a little shop, they told me they will fix it for me by tomorrow for 50USD... I'll let you know tomorrow if they managed to make the magic happen. I think they would reinstall stock, but that's fine with me, much better than a bricked "rooted" phone. It will take me a while before I start to screw up with a phone again...
can you please help me with a soft unbricking of my lg g vista (vs880 [11b]) from verizon usa? i found the 880-11b firmware file, at least i think its the right one. if you know of/ come across this and are sure of its validity i would trust that more. i found and downloaded via a google search. i initially think i may have accidentally deleted the splash pic for the carrier when it boots. this caused it to just black screen after the lg logo n the backlight would flash like it was stuck in a boot loop just the image file was missing. after a little more research i figured out how to put it in the download mode so that i can use a pc to try repair or reinstall whatever it needs. i am unsure if i need the sdk or adk toolkits for a repair in the download mode to work. while on that screen it says its plugged in and waiting to download firmware via usb under the progress bar it tells me not to unplug until download is completed. its not showing up in "my computer" however. and i've never had to do s software/firmware download or setup when the phone wasn't in full normal working order. i simply want to put back the out of the box software back in place. firmware 88011b and 4.4.2 os. just want to be sure i get the proper files/and or programs/ directions to use those resources properly the last thing i want is to guess at something that i could ask someone more experienced for help with and end up bricking it beyond repair. any and all help is very appreciated and i must ask you to please explain each step as clearly and "dumbed down" as possible as you can. if i need to use a program i've never used before {i.e. i hear things like odin mentioned in the forums but i don't understand or have any experience with any pc to phone applications so the more detailed any instructions can be made the better. anything that most ppl who have started tinkering with their devices usually know as common sense or steps that seem implied if not specifically mentioned i'll miss. i have been reading n lurking for months n managed to root the device. but had another issue i accidentally caused soon after which resulted in a factory wipe and some time to remember what i did that rooted it after spending a day on it the first time n trying many things it took me a while to refind what i had done that worked. then this happened. i'm sure with the proper files/tools it'll be fine but i need help to know what those are and to be sure i do it right the first time. i know if i don't there may not be a second chance. thank you again in advance for your patience and help.

have elephone p2000 with some custom rom on it and working stock recovery. than i flash new rom called resrom 1.5, rooted BUT internal storage is access denied and 0kb. Just to say that my usb port is broken and will be hard to replace it because someone was trying to make it work and totally screwed up.
So anyway I cannot connect to a pc and fix things. Next, cant access recovery, tried to flash new one but to no avail. I am still rooted but even when using some apk to flash new rom or recovery i get msgs like "not enough space" or nothing is happening.

Play store ok, calls and the rest is fine, apk i am using: mobileuncle, rashr, auto flasher but nothing gets job done, flashyfy doesn't work and many others. I was looking into init files saw some guide but don t want to mess things even more so i gave up, also wanting to flash boot.img but no proper or functional apk for it.
sometimes on phone start stuck in a loop of screen turn on for 20 sec and then off and its like that until i remove battery, all before rom logo, same thing if i try use buttons combination for recovery or whatever i press in any combination nothing changes.
This is not my first smartphone but is of this kind and funny companies, had problems before with Sony, Samsung but in this extent never, always find YOU guys everybody clever in some fields and as a community more than THE BEST, as you can see i dont post or seek answers by asking, i rather research until now. I fell hopeless, useless and never more stupid, or i m just tired of looking for the answer. In some other case i would give it to my child to play the games an to hell with this phone but its my wife's and she dont want to by a new phone for some reason. Help me to be the man of the house again, kidding, loosing it....
I think I gave you overall picture of the phone state and someone might show me the way to have fully working phone. I forgot, if you are wondering how do i charge battery, well I take it out twice a day and charging on the base of other broken phone, that part i did cover, help me with the rest.
p.s my SD card is working most of the time so this is my only connection to a pc....
