Sweet!
Just flashed it on my rezound running the leaked global firmware, latest dbs kernel I think is 2.3.8 and Viper's rom and it runs fine. I downloaded and played the free game. The directional pad takes a little getting used to but other than that it ran fine.

Guys,
Thinking about picking up a new DNA and selling me excellent condition old one, because I want to S-OFF and be able to flash updates and such. Anyone know if new units are shipping with the updated firmware yet? I will probably order from Amazon Wireless.
Thanks,
Y2J
I don't know about Amazon, but I got an insurance replacement from Asurion last Thursday. It was a brand new phone sealed in the box, and it came with the OTA update :/
I guess we will find out when it gets here today, otherwise looks like I will have to find one on Ebay...
Got mine from Radioshack with the update.
Downloaded Holo Launcher HD and Holo Locker for a stock look until s-off is achieved.
Got mine from Radioshack also with the OTA update. I hope they figure out the new cid soon

I just got mine yesterday and as soon as I powered it on it started downloading the update. I couldn't even tell it no! Do you think Verizon would care enough to send me one pre update so I could root (sarcasm)?

They all ship s-on, you need to check what base yours is on to determine if you have the OTA or not. S-on/S-off has nothing to do with the update though.
Oh okay will check that now

I was lucky, a week after I got my phone they tried to push the OTA to me, but I was already rooted. Applied the OTA rejection.zip file same day!

Not so Lucky. Phone had speaker issues so back on my Note 2 returned it to Best Buy last night before they closed.

I am selling my trusty Evo LTE.
But since there is no RUU for my version of ROM - Mean Bean based on 3.16.651.3, does that mean that I can not really revert to STOCK, and can not get rid of the "TAMPERED" warning when booting?
Thanks.

Use the VipeRUU tool posted in the above post. It requires you to be S-off, but it will return your phone back to completely stock.
This might be a dumb question, but what do we get from this upgrade........ I know that 4.3 gives you the multiuser option but this phone doesn't seem to have it.... So, what do we get ?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
4.2 brought the toggles in the pull down menu.. 4.3 is really mostly under the hood performance changes as far as I can gather

Can we download this new ota software update if we are rooted/s-off? I'm running viper Rom and I'm not sure if I can do this ota update.

Not sure why?
Just curious. The larger the size usually the more important the update. Smaller ones just tend to be bug fixes.

To answer your question about downloading and installing on viper. No not a good idea. Most likely it would fail.

thats what sense 4.1 did, viper should stop htc offcial otas, just ignore it
My stock phone doesn't show an update available. If there is one, someone should capture it.

Hmm actually your right..haha I didn't look at the dates on what I found on google, it was all old..I dunno why I got this update notification now and it won't go away..
Look at the last few posts in the Viper thread in the dev forum. It was a mistake on their part, you can disregard the update, as it does nothing.

Thats how it comes up. I just want to install that revolution rom and the proper firmware.

Thanks I just installed the rom you suggested and its great. Does is improve performance with games hanging to the point where you have to tilt your phone and then tilt it back to use touch again? I flashed the kernel too btw.
