As asked in title, Could we get a subforum for Xperia GO here?
It would be logical since it has the Nova Thor u8500 processor just like the Xperia P, U and Sola
And people are already posting go-matters in this section
Sincerely/ a Go user, making custom kernels etc.
agree :good:
always have to search go therds ...
Any new forum or sub forum requests can be made here.

Specifically say you are in interested in a sub forum within this forum for the xperia go development. If enough of you make the request it possible the admins will add it. Since there is nothing else to say here I'm going to close this thread.

I am at bit confused as to why the forums including the dev section is strating to fill up with posts and system folders for other devices?
do these device share such similar specs that the builds are cross device compatible?
if not, why are they posted here and not in the android general section where people normally post regarding non listed devices. I have never seen a forum fill up with posts about other devices so much and it definitely takes attention away from the xperia S posts.
cheers
Because until U and P don't get dev attention, they will not have they own page. And here it's better because it don't get lost between many other posts, as those are devices are close to XS.
so is that how every new device gets its own subtree forum?

More or less. As I said, there are two ways of a device to have it's own forum: developement is getting bigger fast and users asking. There is a topic somewhere in About XDA section that have the devices that users were requesting. Devices like Neo have it's own forum, but Neo V only had it's sub forum under Neo because the differences between them is small (just some camera files).
i think this sub forum needs to be changed to Sony Xperia NXT seeing as how the threads here revolve around the Xperia S, P, U... and so on.
just a suggestion. use it dont use it!
Common Let's not get so harsh now. Most of the threads are about our XS. Yes there are a few threads related to rest of the 2012 Xperia range but only because they have no dedicated forum yet.

Oops, I'm sorry Well I have some threads about 2012 line, but please understand this
We devs and a lot of users are waiting for a seperate forum for the new devices but until then we will post everything in XS forums. Only then we can improve the chance for a dedicated forum for the other devices
i suppose. cant wait for the xperia P to be launched here in south africa. will be frequenting that sub forum alot then.
Ok just going to ask the questions here in the hope that someone can point me in the right direction.
Firstly I have this major issue with the signal bars going up and down, I've seen it drop from 4 bars to 0 in the blink of an eye. This is happening all the time an just seems like the phone has a real issue in this regard (seen some videos on youtube etc). Anyone know of a solution to this?
I spoke with Sony support today who fail to recognise the problem even exists. I also asked about ics update and was told it was rolling out as we speak however I've read nothing about this anywhere, usually when its out the guys on here are quick to get it. I am desperately hoping this might solve my problems.
The software on this phone seems particularly full of bugs, more so than any other xperia phone I have owned.
I love the design etc but really need a phone that does the basics and gives some reliability. Might have to go back to my iPhone if I can't sort this quickly.

Just found another issue with my xperia. I have noticed now that it scans for networks and finds mine, I then enter my code and it appears to connect fine and then just seems to disconnect again for no reason. It then just goes through this continual cycle of connecting and disconcerting
Any ideas?
Had the phone only a couple of days and bought privately, installed the update yesterday so has latest software.

No one see this topic?
That is why it's stated that in the name of topic you put first letter of phone so people will know. But i didn't see that most of people are writing it.
Edit: and by the way you'll always have people who can't read and they will asking over and over again one simple question answered hundred times before.

yes but is it not easier to make 1 topic for each device?
thats way easier i think
But they have their own subforums, topics. If there is some topics that say multiple phones, it means that it works on those phones.

so same as the Theme/apps topic?
Themes & apps is one subforum, q&a is another, general is another and accessories is another subforum. And there you have multiple topics, and if you read name of topic you see for what device is that topic. Development have their own subforums for each device.

Search button is key in situation like this. But it's easier to just ask before using search option.

I agree that it's a mess but because these devices aren't major compared to the latest phones out, they won't get their own sections.
I'm currently working on an Index thread where all ROMs, kernels, recoveries, guides etc will be all placed and split into several posts for each device.
I believe this will make things easier
The main issue is that we have devices with completely different internals in the same forum. If it were feasible I'd make a split for the devices with NovaThor architecture (P, sola, U, and Go) and another for the devices with Snapdragon chips. That would be a good, development-relevant criteria for the split.
