[Q] Xperia P doesn't sync bookmarks on stock browser (ICS) - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi,
as in title. I bought Xperia P phone and syncing bookmarks in stock browser doesn't work.
In ICS browser only "Local" category is available with several predefined bookmarks.
In sync settings I don't have checkbox like "Sync Internet" or "Sync Browser".
Is it normal behaviour in Xperia P?
Do you have above options in Sync Settings or are they also missing?

To simplyfy my question please just tell me if you have Sync Browser or Sync Internet in your Sync settings.
Please

Guys, I have the same problem - there is no such settings.
Can you check it?
Is this a bug?

Same problem to me. I think that is a bug

[Q] Gmail sync more than 4 days?

Hi,
HTC Desire S
Stock Android 2.3.5
HTC Sense 3.0
GMAIL app 2.3.5.2.
In older versions of GMAIL, I could choose how many days I wanted each "label" to sync and cache on the phone so I could read my emails on the tube or when out of signal.
This version of GMAIL allows only 4 days of cached inbox!
How do I change this? I have looked in settings and in labels and can't see a configuration items anywhere.
MANY THANKS
Any ideas? (bump)
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
In your Gmail Inbox screen, click menu button -> more -> settings
Then choose your Gmail account, choose "synchronize Inbox and labels" (may appear different in your system 'coz I'm using Chinese localization.)
There you will be able to change the number of days to sync
Cheers mate
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Never thought to click on my email address. Lots of settings there.

Galaxy S2 i9100 ICS 4.0.3 Stock - Contacts to display bug

Hi,
My phone runs the stock rom from samsung 4.0.3 XWLP7
I have problem with the option "contacts to display" which is into the menu of the "contact" app
When I go to customize view as example... whatsapp is deactivated, sim card and some of the gmail contact groups, when I save the setting everything is fine but if I go later back into the contacts they are all shown up again as if they are set to active.
Anyone having the same problem? On android 2.3.6 everything was fine with it..
works fine here, but i have whatsapp and skype to no sync. just tried untick facebook and it removes all these contacts
yes thats correct the contacts are removed but if you look later after some hours everything is back on like it was before the change

My back button dont work, when I'm on contact. Why?
Can somebody help me?
seems that the custom view is only shown on my phone after making the changes. First couple times when I opened the contacts the custom view was default but now it's again the normal view with all contacts in it
Custom view after editing the settings ( pic 1)
8 minutes later , like I said it's back to normal (all visible) but the settings are set (pic 2)

I am Facing Also the same problem in my Custom ROM ICS 4.0.4
Same problem here on Stock ICS 4.0.3 ROM. Also when you're in a custom view and try to search a contact, the view reverts to the 'all contacts' view and thus searches in all your contacts instead of the ones defined in the custom view.
Very annoying.
Seems like nobody knows how to fix it so I switched completely to go launcher ex with the contacts ex addon and it works perfectly. It's for sure bug in the default Samsung contacts app

Yep, I just updated to XWLPD and I have the same quirk. It is driving me insane.
Try to delete the "Contacts" shortcut and add it again.
Worked for me..

I just did this and it worked LOL
I was having same problem. I had groups set-up and had some groups turned off, but they kept on re-appearing, even though the group was still unchecked. I had to keep "checking" the groups, and then unchecking them again, but they soon re-appeared!
Resolution (worked for me):
Delete Contacts Shortcut from Homescreen/Docking Bar (I done this for my Go Launcher EX Docking Bar)
Open the Contacts app from the main icon in the app screen (not via shortcut)
Customize your contacts list.
Now create the Contacts shortcut again on your Homescreen/Docking Bar
I done all the above, and my Contacts are behaving themselves, even after a reboot
Demon
It worked for me too.
I'm on stock ICS with LPF version.
Using Go-Launcher (but had the same problem also using the stock launcher.
Thanks

I discovered you can't sync Calendars that are not in an XML format (eg most or all of the 'interesting calendars'). I got this from another site..
The Google limitation is that if the Google Calendar does not have an .XML format, then the Android phone won't show it at all apparently. There's lots postings on the Google support site about this .XML calendar thing and the best work around is to import the Yahoo or other calendars that support it.
and a workaround:
You need a yahoo account; log in, go to Yahoo Sports, to the league of your choice, to the team of your choice, to Score & Schedules (the one *under* the team banner, not the one closer to the top of the page), to Add to Calendar, to Synch with Google and then follow the clear instructions. You will be taken to Google Calendar; hit Refresh and then look on your phone.

Chrome Beta

I order for me to sync my google account's bookmarks to Chrome Beta I need to leave the accounts&sync's Gmail account ON, as soon as I turn off the sync the bookmarks disappears (with ICS browser I don't need to leave the sync ON, the bookmarks saved to the browser).
Ok...
.. Super
my question is how can I save my bookmarks to Chrome beta?
someone?
I *think* sync needs to be kept on...
Why is that? The sync, in the ICS Browser, doesn't need to be turn on in order to see your bookmarks

Did you find a solution ?, same thing happens to my phone. Leaving the sync on will drain the battery right (I never use sync)
could anybody help? As you can see this problem occurs to other people as well.
Wait for an update to the beta maybe?
I don't think this is it.
what i did was to turn sync on but just uncheck everything in the accounts & sync tab, that way it only syncs google account and doesn´t drain the battery.
if you want to make it more specific, you can uncheck everything inside the google account but chrome so it uses even less resources.
cheers
there is no way in hell that you need to keep the sync ON in order to view your chrome bookmarks!
there must be a way to make it works like it does on the ICS browser

facebook contacts in stock contacts app?

Hi,
i´m currently using the xperia tablet s 3g, a very nice peace of hardware.
But i´m not sure about the following thing:
is it not possible to see the facebook contacts in the sony contacts app? There is a menu item to select which contacts should be there but after selecting my facebook account there is only MY profile in the list, nothing else.
Is this a bug? Is there a chance to fix this?
Thx,
SirRobin
