I had CynageonMod 10 recently and I liked it (notice how I didn't say love), I love how it turned off the screen like a tv tube. And how you slide a page normally ( not some card stack way) and across the wallpaper, also how you turned on the brightness was dark and lit up. I restored my i9300 to the stock Jelly Beam Rom, and I love the better speed and feature. I honestly miss these animations, but it doesn't beat Smart Stay or the Ripple Lockscreen.

Yesterday I was watching a movie I think I was lying down over my phone, must have pressed something. When I grabbed it the slider on the lock screen had changed, It was in a vertical orientation now, I had to slide down to unlock and slide up to set to vibrate, and all of this while in portrait mode. I dont know how this happened and I would love to know.
My device is a Huawei UM840 (Which is very similar to the U8500 which you can see the complete features HERE

My sgs 3 has a strange pattern on the lockscreen wallpapers, if they are dark you can see like brighter areas, bits of say a full black wallpaper show as grey.
I did think the screen was faulty but when I use same wallpapers for home screen/view pics/movies this problem is not there, its only on the lockscreen wallpaper, If I use a very bright one its hard to see but any black/dark red/blue/dark green will show this odd blotch...mainly right side.

Is there some issue with the phone? Movies/games/pics all fine, I just get strange blotch on lockscreen, and what makes it even stranger if I use a live wallpaper on the lockscreen its fine,i only get the problem if i set a picture for the lockscreen 9worse with dark colours)

As B3311 just pointed out, turn off ripple effect and the weird pattern on lockacreen is gone. It needs to be there in order to be able to create the ripple effect.

I saw the post but I am just keen to find out what/why its there, you say it needs to be but that seems like a odd thing for Samsung to have, is there other posts covering this as I would like to find out if this is a samsung tech reply (its normal) or if its been seen by us and thats an answer we have came to.

Since ics, multiple one touch lock screen widgets dont work properly. The led will flash and the it goes to the lock screen and times out with some, and with others it stays on a very low ambient type mode. Any one else? Any suggestions, i love one touch to lock the screen, damn first world problems

I just turned off the lock screen, hardly needed since there are only soft buttons on the front of the device, and it's unlikely the power button would be accidentally pressed in one's pocket. Then i used a cool app called screen off and lock, it even has crt effect.
Another quick post from me.
Does anyone know why the fade in/out effect doesn't always work when the lock button is pressed on Stock Touchwiz ROMs? It works fine on the S2 but only sometimes takes effect on the S3. It's a strange issue but it's a niggle that irritates me and I'd like if I could fix it.
Also, is there a way that I can change the lock animation on Stock, like to the lock animation that Stock JB/ICS has with the TV like effect?

think its interesting when u turn ur screen off u see the middle turn black first then the edges turn black

and I like the retro TV animation better, only if I can change it
i knew there was an unlock animation, didnt knw there was a lock one too.
thought it was just the way the panel works
