Help!! Can't connect to my work's Wifi - HTC Amaze 4G

Ok, I can connect to any other wireless connection, except work.
I know the security settings, it just keeps trying to authenticate and obtain an IP.
Is there a way that I can clear out ALL my wifi settings, in case its keeping some bad info somewhere or something?
I can connect with my ipod, other people's droids, etc.
Forgot to add: Bulletproof 2.5 ROM, faux kernal. Still running Gingerbread, because it's working wonderfully. ...with the exception of this one issue.
Please help me

Well you can try "forget network" for your work wifi access point which will wipe data stored for that access point and then you can input new info in

Yeah, I've tried that a million times, it seems.
Is there anyway to go and manually remove the settings for that network, or ALL networks? Like through Astro file manager or titanium backup?

Well you can try wiping cache and dalvik cache but to be honest seems kind of a funky issue that probably can be solved by re flashing your rom (after full wipe of course)

I'll try that. Thanks.

Data Problems

My 3vo will seem to randomly not want to work on the data network, yet shows I still have 3G connection. Some pages will load and some background apps will work still...Anyone else have this issue? Maybe I have a defective phone? Just a strange issue I've never had before...

Are you using a temp root? I've found that every 2days or so i have to redo the temp method because I can't connect to data services.....reboot and It's fixed.

I'm having the same problem and I haven't used temp root 4g is fine. While I'm on 3g is when I have problems

I have theses problems to but my wife evo 4g is fine smh
Had the problems prior to using temp root...Hoped that temp root would solve it, but no dice.
Not sure if I should exchange it...Might be a hardware issue if not everyone is having the problem.

Call sprint and have them reset your data connection after a profile and prl update.
Locked & Loaded
I had this problem and I did all the tricks listed in these forums... Nothing helped permanently. I ended up returning the 3D.
What browser are yall using? Even without temp root I have issues with FireFox.

I'll try calling them, thanks.
This is really annoying because I love the phone, but if I can't access the internet when I want to, I'm going to have to return it

Hi this worked for me. I'm stock and experienced connection issues with my wifi...sitting 2 feet from the router!!! Never had any problems connecting anything via wifi b4.
Go to settings>>wifi>>menu>>advanced. in the advanced section there is a radio button to enable Best Wi-Fi performance. Once activated I had no more connection problems.
Hope this helps.
Not sure if this might help but I changed WiFi to 2.4 GHz and like above best WiFi per. So far good

I did this and it worked for me briefly but then reverted to "authenticating" and then telling me it is the wrong access key for the network. I don't understand why it's doing this but at least for me it seems to be a 1.22 based problem as everything I've run with the prior firmware has been fine....

I've reset the router multiple time and even gave my EVO a static ip to see if that would work. I guess I'll ruu and see if that will help. It's weird though.

Wifi issues

Hey. Got an AT&T ATRIX 4G phone with Nottachtrix4G Rom. Long story short my Wifi doesn't seem to work anymore. I know my router is fine because I use my laptop everyday. I tried removing and re-adding the network. I also went into recovery and deleted the cache and stuff. The network connects fine, and gets an IP but I can't load anything like facebook, browser, radio, etc. Any suggestions besides full wipe? Thanks
PS: im a network / computer tech for my job, so im not a noob and know for a fact its not my network.

do you have MAC filter on your router?
Nope.
I will also add it worked fine a week ago. Then it just stopped working.
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
you can try with another browser, or try to clean app data. Or just make new connection
Issue had to do with my router and wireless access point. Rebooted both and no issues since.

Foxfi STILL blocked after root

The biggest reason I'm looking for an att version of the hox+ Rom is to use tethering while at work. I don't abuse my data it's just real handy to browse when big brother isn't watching
As of now I rooted my hox+ an nd installed foxfi With the add on, but I'm still getting the message "to enable tethering call 611 or go-to my wireless.com
Anyone know of any solutions

Did fox fi ask for root?
See this post to enable wifi tethering. I am using the built-in tether, but I'm pretty sure this would work for Foxfi too.
Update: tried the method at the top of the linked thread, which was to delete ATT_Hotspot .apk and the .odex, with a restart. Neither Fox fi nor the HTC hot spot works yet. Still tells me to call 611.
Trying the second method using the script editor soon.

Let us know if it works for you after doing the FULL steps including the script editor. Just hate to pay any amount of cash to do probably this one thing with as i know nothing about script editing, lol! Would love to have this work on our devices and get away from the AT&T high rates they put on their customers! Thanks

(Q) wifi automatically turns on?[solved]

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like I can't keep my wifi off.
Every time I turn wifi off it gets turned back on by itself.
I'm sure I'm just being a complete noob and missing something.
Stock unrooted latest update.
Was ok before update.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like Sprints "Connection Optimizer" here, I think there's a way to disable it, but I just deleted the APK from the system folder, are you rooted?

Settings>connections>more networks> mobile networks> connections optimizer then uncheck the box.

Awesome thank you folks. Knew it would be something simple.

After you uncheck it, if you're rooted, use TB to freeze or uninstall so it never comes back to haunt you. I've been freezing apps until I decide if they're fully safe to delete and that I'm sure I won't want them.
Not Sprint but note 3 having the same issue
My phone is not sprint. I'm using an international version of note 3. And having the same issue. Could you please help me with that?

Connections optimizer isn't onlyfor Sprint. Fix is probably the same, but might be named differently, but similarly.
