For now, I use 'quickboot'.
Only slight annoyance is that it can't boot you into download mode, but normal reboot/recovery/power off work well enough.

your extended power menu working, bro
need zip
Can you please make zip file to directly flash through recovery.

So ive been seeing a lot of how do i use i777 zImage with xx rom for i9100 and make it work... So heres how
Method one
1. Get zImage from aokp if ur doing aosp rom or entropy or siyah with mic swap if ur doing tw. must be i777
2. Flash rom of choice...
3. Push kernel using heimdall or if u can make cwm
a. you can also unzip rom nd replace zImage in rom then rezip and flash
4. Go to market get es file explorer and set root rights
5. Go to /system/usr/keylayout
6. Modify sec_touchkey.kl and make it look like this:
key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
key 107 SEARCH VIRTUAL
key 28 HOME VIRTUAL
7. Reboot
8. Enjoy and hit thanks

I couldn't get resurrection to boot either, but Batista's foxhound ROM did boot with fenny's kernel and the capacitive buttons worked - with the touch key file mod that howtoman posted in the instructions.

I just rooted my phone and its on gingerbread. I used Rom manager to download and install a cwm recovery..whenever I click anything in the recovery its just a blank screen with the recovery logo and it wouldn't let me wipe, flash, reboot, or power off. I'm trying to install an ics Rom. Is there any other recovery I can use? If so, please provide me with the link or file and tell me how to flash the recovery so that I may actually flash an ics rom

Hi, thanks for the neat program. Im on stock t-mobile rooted and it crashes everytime i try to resize by clicking that new button,
it works, but it seems not really "resizable", just choose between 2 size
I did flash it with cwm. Still crashes when I try to resize it.
Edit: my mistake. I forgot i was using nova launcher. Works fine using touchwiz.
Thanks!

When you have a link in an application for instance, you click on it and then you can select the application u want to use for reading the link.
If this message doesn't appear it means that you have a default browser so deactive this function.
EDIT: it works like a charm, thanks!
i'm using stock rom LJ3, i tried every ways a known but it wasn't work (clear cache, dalvik, use lucky patcher, reflash several times...) plz check it again! thanks bro.

This has been extremely helpful for mods on the S4 Active with a locked bootloader. It is not the same as having a out-of-rom recovery but it is a nice work around as mods start flowing to this device. I have flash MANY mods for the Active and it has been GREAT. The developer is working on ideas for flashing roms but currently this is not for flashing roms, do not even try. This has not been tested yet for the G2 and I would not try it until your carrier has a restore option available (currently Verizon, Tmobile and AT&T have one and they can be found here. All credit goes to the original developer and here is his original thread
Do this at your own risk, by flashing a zip without a nandroid back up this can cause a software brick and you will have to restore
1. Install busy box from the play store (YOU NEED ROOT)
2. Install the apk from the forum
3. download the zip you want to flash
4. Select flash now and reboot
If you have get the error that says the zip is not a flashable zip here are some things that will help:
1. make sure there are NO spaces in the zip name
2. make sure the zip name is short
3. if you still get the error that says this is not a flashable zip reinstall busybox and advance features
4. Flash Gordon does not play nice with AROMA installer so the zip must not have the included
5. Check the download zip, sometimes it can get corrupt while downloading to your phone. Try to transfer the zip from a PC and flashing it. (this has happened once to me)
Has this been tested?

It's not the zip that's in question. I've made enough of them to kill and elephant. It's the recovery. One has not been made specific for this phone yet, that I'm aware of. I'm under the impression that they are not universal.

That is the point of flash gordon... It is a recovery that works inside the OS so it has been working great and tons of phones... Just flash and reboot once it is complete and enjoy. Now the modified apk may crash once you flash but just do a hard reboot and it would be good

First flash I got an Android.Provision FC over and over. Second time, I got an error in recovery. I'm using TWRP BTW.
This is an awesome ROM! Just what I was looking for. Close to stock with lock screen notifications.
For all the people with problems flashing I would recommend using ClockWork. I was using TWRP and changed and no problems flashing. TWRP has issues sometimes
