Well as the title states, idk what's going on with it, can't wait till I buy a cheap s2 and get ics, but I still might take my photon to a repair store and see if i can get it taken care of, other wise, guess I'll have a nice new brick for my house -_-

I was wondering the same. If it gets some good ROMs then Ill consider it. But it really should have had better specs.
I got it for a steal so I said what the hell but they took out the finger print reader which makes no sense.

oh you guys got the atrix 1/2's i mean 2's.
I am debating on getting the "2nd" one as well considering I could do a straight return at wal-mart for the $50 I spent. Wal-Mart has em for the 49.99 that the 1st one was going for. I kinda of like the idea of the .3 inches the 8MP camera and stuff.

My wife has this phone as well, couldn't talk her into spending a little more money for a real phone. She likes a smaller screen even though she is always stealing mine when I'm home. I would love to root it and get some better battery life.

Look even closer and ics can manually be pushed, using the update.zip and factory recovery but you can't be rooted or have deleted any sprint apps..

Here, this method works for the viper too. Just download the last file and use 7zip to unzip it and follow the instructions. I rooted my LG Viper that has ICS on it.
If you do not have ICS on it use this method to root

Both methods work on either ICS or GB

you can check easy online when you login to your account, you never lose your phone
my contract with telus shows 9 months left and 0$ device balance, so in reality i could upgrade to a new phone at any point without being charged because device balance is 0

If you pay off the phone, that means the phone is yours. They can't take it back.
Even if you haven't paid off your phone and want to end the contract, they won't take your phone back. They will make you pay the remaining balance on the phone.

They took mine, new DNA on back order. It not here in 2 weeks I get to pick a new phone up to DNA same full price. Today that would have been an s4. Gave me a dinc 2. I already miss flashing roms.

I gotcha. Its was actually very easy to relock, unroot, and go back to stock with correct "flag". Really easy.
