Unlock bootloader allowed: No -> Yes?

Hi!
I haven't seen a way to change the status from "bootloader unlock allowed: NO" to YES, but in a forum I read that some guys managed to reach an agreement with sony. If we send the simlock unlock codes they will allow the bootloader unlock.
Here's the OT

I'll send a mail to see if it really works (I have the sim unlock code).
Do you know something about this?

After reading a bunch of Googlish I don't think they got any response yet. I don't think emailing Sony will get your bootloader unlocked but you never know.

The chances are very small, but looks like they are going to unlock it:

Looks like the only requirement now is that you have to bring the device to a sony service center
We are dealing with Sony to get our handsets fully unlocked, but what i am most afraid of is if employees will be aware of this. I hope so!
We will keep you guys updated!

Seems like it's only for Spain
kindly add a question mark to your title, for obvious reasons. thanks
you can make the bootloader unlock allowed: yes by ezSEMC tool. I made it yesterday unlocking my acro HD for 45$. the phone became fully unlocked and bootloader changed to rootable, after that i've unlocked bootloader by official method.

Can someone confirm this status could be changed NOW ?!?
Some people say it can't be done no more because S1 server is closed for good an no other solutions for now...

I've heard rumours the s1 server is offline for good aswell. Missed it by about two days. Gutted. I've been checking daily for about 3 weeks.
Can't believe I had so much fun with my x10 and cm roms, but now I'm forced to stop.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
I still find hard to believe no one can "break this code"...
I would certainly donate to some Dev to crack this problem for good. If it can be done by CSCA Server than is just some service mode and software changes.
That or find some loophole to flash kernels into the phone, security blocks for that are so hard or complex that no one can break them ?!

No test point is this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730874
You cant unlock your bootloader this way, infact you cant do it with a pc at all. What you need to do is have your phone sim unlocked by your carrier, then take your phone to a sony service center and tell them that your phone is now sim unlocked and you want them to unlock your bootloader. This is the only way to do it.
Cheers,
Evil.
P.S. This is in the wrong section, it should be under general. Thread reported to be moved.

Oh well that sucks, sorry bro thats the only way unless you can get an unlock code from somewhere else cheaper. But I dont know if sony will then unlock your bootloader as it wasnt done by your carrier. Thats if they can tell i dont know much about it so not sure. check this thread http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/40526
Its all good, General is for questions and general about the phone.
Accessories, well thats self explanatory.
Android dev, this is for developement, so posting roms and kernels and any android dev that there is.
Themes and apps, well thats self explanatory too.
Cheers,
Evil.

I have been looking for a solution on the web for a long time and I haven't found it yet.

ok, as far as i know you can remove the SIM lock by entering a network/SIM unlock code. You can usually get one from your provider. You have to pay them of course... :crying:
I know that german T-Mobile phones can be unlocked that way, not sure if its the same in Austria...
Removing the SIM lock does not affect the status of your bootloader! If its locked it will stay locked.

Thank you stothegee, I really apreciate your help!
I have been looking for a topic about it in T-Mobile website and I didn't find nothing good.
In the meanwhile I found this service:
cellfservices com => "unlock-sony-st27i" (I can't post links yet)
Do you know it? I would like to know if it's reliable or not.
Thank you for the help
