Hi, i have bought a Screen Unit for S3 really cheap, can i installed a mainboard from a other phone in the S3 ? Because the Mainboard or the phone is expensive
What kind of question is this??? Hell no you can't do that! Although saying that.....an iPhone mainboard should work
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Sure you can fit another main-board with a bit of cutting .
I note you don't ask will a main-board for another phone work . Well i suspect you will have to answer that question .

Really?

If it's an S3 board then duuh, yes you can. (Goodluck with finding one, mostly illegal without manufacturer consent because of IMEI change.)
But 'other phone' ? you mean other brand? Nope.

But it should be possible to use another android-based mainboard from a different brand to use the galaxy screen outside? I mean something like a developer board.

Ignore that....its not possible either way. Each board has different perifferals, different aspects for the nand to load (drivers etc) its not possible to use another motherboard from a different device in the S3....it will not work! End of story

Loving my new S3. My first Samsung phone and liking it. In my analness in knowing all about my device anyone know this little tid bit? Does it date back to old models or have a Korean relation?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
Obviously gt-i means grand theft iPhone and is the most prominent clue to Samsung shamelessly ripping off Apple's products.
GT-i9300 means it's the 9.3 thousand's attempt to copy the iDevice.
</irony>
Sorry I have no clue what it means but that's the first thing that came to mind =)
Samsung has been using it for quite a while now. It probably means Galaxy [something]

GT a fairly common add on to any product brands to make it appear more faster or exclusive .
GT Grand Tourisimo as used to describe the early Touring Cars .
GTI added by marketing guys to standard cars to make them appealing to the boy racer go faster brigade .
jje
Yeah I thought it might be Grand Touring related but couldn't be sure. Turismo is a Japanese twist on the naming I think you mean there.
According to a quick search the I is capitalised officially. You're probably right, they went with the nice car sounding performance tag.
Or perhaps with conjecture it's Galaxy Tourer - Eye (because it sounds nice) 9300! (it's over 9000!)
Not really original then though. Then again the Koreans are just good copycats with good innovation over the top, like the economic rise of post war Japan.

What does refurbished means?
Is it like a new one?
Does it have any thing wrong?
Because the Asus transformer has a very epic design

Refurbished means it was returned to to a defect or something similar, then it was fixed and 'refurbished' and now it's sold for less. Sometimes you have a shorter warranty on refurbished devices.
I bought a few devices refurbished (macs for example) and I never had a Problem with any, still you should check if the discount is worth it if it's only a few dollars.

I wouldn't be so sure about saying yes. The Galaxy S IV has been announced to be launched in mid March, so it should be shipping worldwide by the end of March. If you can wait another two months then it could be worthwhile. Even if you decide not to upgrade, S IIIs will be cheaper as the new model is out.
Apparently its legit you can tell this company what internals you want and they will make it for you. Not 100% sure but thats what I saw. Here is the link: http://dylricho.com/products/
Also someone has created one from them and here are the specs: http://dylricho.com/products/infinitus-u.php#
It's a great idea, but I would be suspect of build quality, and frankly - I doubt they'll ever ship one device.
