Before you decide to learn how to root you should learn how to use the search button. This topic is ridiculous and has no reason to exist when we have plenty of the EXACT topic and answer's already.
The easiest way to root your phone is to use the search button and follow one of the bazillion guides that are already on XDA

I know root in here is not for phone. Hence I'm here for help. Its only the s3 forum here and yes my phone is s3

I know mate. Still playing with my s2. Just want to do with my S3 what my s2 can do

Just make sure you don't try anything until your sure its been tested. 2 users on the Aussie thread lost their imei numbers while trying to root there's. One has already booked with Samsung service.

After u root it successfully, upgrade to twrp from cmwr. Install Jamie's JB ROM and you'll be good to go.
Thanks guys. Idk what my friend did but he completely bricked his phone. Wont even turn on.

Hello all, I have finally decided to root my S3. I just have one question though, what app would be good to backup all my settings, pics, apps and everything else? Also what is a good Rom to use that's fast and based on jellybean?

You can use titanium backup. As for the ROM it depends, some prefer stock with custom kernel others prefer asop ROMs. You should browse the forums and decide for yourself. Also next time search and only make a new thread if you can't really find an answer, the moderators may get mad at you.

What's the difference between asop and stock with different kernel? I read some older topics and just go too confused.

read the OP. it explains the different naming schemes of various different ROMs. it also lists all the roms that fall into different categories of aosp, aokp, stock, and others.

actually jjegan is right. due to hardware differences, you need to check out the appropriate forum for your phone. you will turn your phone into an expensive paperweight if you flashed any roms or kernels in this forum.

So I recently get my hands on this beautiful galaxy S III. It's am amazing device. So how did you root it? And how is it about warranty loss in germany/Europ. And is it true that the galaxy has a counter how many times you flash an OS?
Greetings

Yes, it has a counter but you can reset it with an app called triangle away! There are threads gives more information. Utilize search.
