why the system processes, even if i setlowmemorykiller to 0, they are closed by system, and leave the ram 300mb free about?
This happens on all roms gb
ps i have an at&t atrix, i don't know if it 's a problem of internetional atrix

Sorry if i didnt understand your question completely but are you haveing the issue where the correct amount of ram isnt shown??
Are you on a Rom or Stock?
If your on a rom then you most likely need to flash an international kernal with ram fix. Let me know so i can point you in the right direction..

free up some memory = RAM, maybe..
hi,,i am using dsc.64b rom,, my total memory showing from quick system info is 386mb instead of 512mb, , is this normal? Same thing happened to my samsung galaxy tab 10.1, showing 735mb instead of 1gb of memory,,anyone facing the same doubts? Thanks in advance.
The rest is likely reserved by the kernel, that's the ram available for user apps

Thanks for the info,,,have a nice day.
Since a few days my phone says it has ''insufficient storage capacity'' I searched the internal memory but it says I have approximately 8GB free... I heard that more Samsung phones got this problem, because the (real) internal memory is way lesser than it says.
So my question now, what to do ? I dont have Titanium Backup installed so I cant do that trick. Phone is rooted and CM11 installed.
Phone info:
- Samsung Galaxy SIII International
- KitKat 4.4.2
- CyanogenMod 11 ( Snapshot M3 )

Try rebooting to see if it refreshes the stats. If not go to recovery and clear cache. If others do not have a suggestion, u might have to wipe data. Also, may I ask wat was ur previous rom before cm11? Wat is the android version?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
.
Doesnt work, wipe data and cache cleaning arent helping...
My previous rom before CM11 was CM10.2 ( Android 4.3 ) Thats what you mean ?
Can u check ur emulated folder to see how many '0's folders u have?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Sorry for the late reaction, I see 2 ''0'' folders

Explains it then. One of the '0' folder is from ur previous rom. Check the size of both '0' folders.

Hi,
since I'm not allow to write any post in my ROM's (mySENSEdx5 RC4.0) thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391181 I'm posting here.
I found that now I have avaiable only 586MB of RAM instead of 768MB, at least that value is showed.
Is it ROM bug or just the way of presenting and showed e.g. avaiable for apps and user RAM?

It's normal. In your case,182MB is used by the system.

well, as I remember stock rom showed ram acc to the spec, does someone can check it in stock rom?
Nevertheless seems to be strange a bit.

If it was a bug,or if it was really that strange the devs would have it fixed by now.

Why don't you post also a screenshot of stock ROM ... I know it will be the same (and I have screenshot for Stock RAM) but it is best for you to upload a screenshot to compare with your own previous uploaded screenshot.

Well, I just wondering why is that, I though, maybe it concerned only my phone since it was my first ROM change.
Anyway, you are right, ckpv5 would fix it by now.

Don't have screenshots from the stock ROM.
However, everything is working well, I just wondering seeing the difference between spec and reality.
This is from stock ROM:
I think system is using that part of RAM.

And this is from mysensedx5. It is perfectly fine.
This is strange ...

Stock rom.
Lol, it may be a kernel issue ... I don't know if kernel can make this, but as every carrier got it's own kernel, it's not impossible.

The point of the image is to show that this is normal. The "missing" memory is used by the system. 423 MB are used by the apps. There is nothing wrong here,it's just how Sense shows the memory.

Well, I've change ROM to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555350 (SuperSENSE-dx5 1.02) and situation is the same. Apparently, Sense5 in that way showing the memory stats.
There are two screens showing memory usage and availability which for me makes a bit nonconformity, however everything seems to be OK in term of phone working. So, there is no any RAM leaking.

Definitely both mySENSEdx5 and SuperSense-dx5 will have the same situation as SuperSENSEdx5 is based on mySENSEdx5 RC3.0
What you see in the Task Manager is a value that was tweaked to show the full total RAM. The same way I made it before for One V when people said why One V only show 300++ RAM instead of 512 ... then I gave them the Task Manager that show the value 512 ... it just a tweak. The screenshot shown above for the stock is correct.
Tell you this ... if you decompile the Task Manager ... you will see this ...

Not only this, if you unpack the boot.img also you will see "ckpv5" in it ... so don't compare ROMs of the same base but compare with stock ... then you will see there is no such thing as RAM leak with mySENSEdx5 (as your thread title)

I didn't mean, something is working wrong, and there is a bug somewhere, I was just to know why is that. I know that both roms are comming from the same basis. It was my first time I replaced stock by custom. And I appreciate much your work, excellent job!
I changed the title to not suggest anything wrong.
Take the opportunity that you are reading this post, may I have another question? Regarding MOD's. I know it is a basic knowledge, how to apply mod's, I would like to start with one showing battery percentage http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49903398&postcount=1246 . Do I need it install e.g. through TRWP like rom, or what to do.
Regards.

Just install them through TWRP like you would install a ROM, but be sure to make a nandroid backup first. You don't need to wipe anything when installing a mod, it's just additional software for the system partition.
Thanks, I though so.

BTW
There is app called "Greenify" its free on google play. This app not allowing on apps to run automaticaly on backround.
PS:
When I flashed CM 10 I was with 30 % used ram, (I use Cleaner for that) and with sense rom was 70-80%.But now idk what happend again is on 70-80.I think if i wipe all and flash it again will be again 30-40 % used ram.
