As you know, Ice cream sandwich and Jelly bean Roms for Galaxy S3 support most of languages, but a lot of careers hide many languages which they consider a useless languages in there regions.
I made a free, small and ugly application, but very useful app to allow you enable all those hidden languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Bahasa...) on the input list settings and the stock keyboard.
Features :
- Auto Backup your current language settings
- Enable Hidden languages in the input language list and Keyboard
- Restore you language settings
This App was tested on Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), Note2 and Note 10.1 with Samsung ICS and Jellybean Roms.
This app doesn't add any language support, it just enable all supported languages, so if you don't get your local language after reboot, that means it's not supported in your Rom.
/!\ This application works on a ROOTED DEVICES only.

I don't see any reason to do that, you hit the input list menu just one time, and there is no added resources to the framework.

Tested with Note II. Everything is perferct. Hebrew and Arabic languages available in UI and Keyboard. :good:
Also Tested with Galaxy S3. Hebrew and Arabic languages available in UI but are not available in Keyboard.
Thank you.
But if you can help me,
I need an option to enable Hebrew Handwrite in keyboard.
Im on 4.1.1, rooted, ARHD with stock kernel.
I have changed csc to israel - nothing happaned, not hebrew handwrite.
I know 4.1.2 has the hebrew handwrit eoption, but 4.1.2 has bugs also, so or now 4.1.1 is perfect but only the hebrew handwrite is missing.
Can you help me with that?

Enabling the languages list isn't enough to get Handwriting support, this feature can be easily implemented in this App but it needs a voluminous resources files (>200Mo).
OR you can get your full language support by doing it your self, you can use any stock Rom from your region and get your language files from "/system/sipdb" and "/system/VODB".

Hi,
First of all, thank you.
As i said, 4.1.2 already has Hebrew Handwrite, and in omega 7.X or any other rom based on 4.1.2, includes the Hebrew Handwrite, but the problem is that there is no Hebrew land file in VODB or sipdb.
What is the problem? how can i fix it?
Thanks ! Save me all the troubles looking for a solution !

Persian / Farsi Handwriting
I would like to add Persian/Farsi handwriting to my (rooted) stock rom for N7100 (Galaxy Note II International). It only has the persian samsung keyboard, but not handwriting.
I tried to extract the sipdb and VODB files from the persian stock firmware (THR country code), but could not find them in system.img.
In which stock rom can I find them? Or can I find them somewhere on the web? I could only find arabic so far, but not persian.
best thanks
/system/sipdb" and "/system/VODB

Hi, I'm looking to have an arabic support to my phone Optimus One P500 , please help me with that .
thanks
You best way to go is an original ROM with arabic support. The following are the links to download:
For Android 2.2
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/AIRQBK/V10b_00/V10B_00.kdz
For Android 2.2.1
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/AIRQBK/V10c_00/V10C_00.kdz
For Android 2.2.1
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/AIRQBK/V10d_00/V10D_00.kdz
All of those three ROM have full support for arabic with RTL support and they work with all applications (containing arabic language) with no problems. The letters are connected as well.
If you do not know how to install a KDZ ROM please refer to this page starting from step 2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881
or this one also works.
http://android.modaco.com/content/l...modaco-com/321895/faq-gt540-reference-thread/
I recommend to use the 2.2 because it can be rooted.
I use Smart Keyboard Pro..its very good in arabic and its dictionary is excellent.
Hope it helps.
thank you so so so much DR.Alani
Anytime my friend. Tell me how it goes.
I'm sorry, it took me some time to respond , it went excellent .
now my phone supoorts and writes arabic.
thanks a lot .
Thats good to know.
Apparently v10d is not 2.2.2. It is actually 2.2.1 too. I edited the previous post.

Guys, I just bought this mobile too and to my surprise it doesn't support Arabic, I need both Arabic and Persian languages, I installed smart keyboard that lets me write Persian/Arabic but they are not connected!!! although my older GT540 fully supports Arabic/Persian using smart keyboard and in web browser too!
My p500's android version is 2.2 and v10c
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks in advance
Try Multiling Keyboard. Has lots of weird mess which looks like Arabic & Co. Obviously I have not tested it.

Multiling does provide connected arabic letters. But it does not connect what is already written like web pages. Opera Mini browser connects them.
I recommend you flash another rom with full arabic support. Btw, V10e (2.2.2) with arabic support was released about a month ago. I can get you the link if you r interested.

Hey guys,
I bought my phone here in Germany, unlocked and it works great. Thing is, I have multiple languages but they all end with Germany or a German speaking country e.g. English (Germany), English (Austria), English (Switzerland).
Can I install additional system languages such as English (Generic), English (UK) and English (Australia)?
Cheers!

Try to download More Locale 2 app from Android Play Store. That will allow you to choose any of the languages. To enable languages, missing on a keyboard, try installing another keyboard (swype, swiftkey....)

Hi,
I just upgraded a galaxy s3 I9300 to stock rom 4.3, and there is a problem with the keyboard.
The problem is that it doesn't let the user change input language (in this case between Hebrew and English).
I search all over the settings, and nothing helps.
There should be an option to change input language by swiping the space button...
Am I missing someting here ?

I have a canadian version S9 plus and I want to change the system language (GUI)
I go to General Management-Language and Input-Language and I see the option to add language.
Then I select from the 3 dot menu all languages and I select the language I want
I put my new language first and default.
Now this is where the problem comes.
While all basic icons have changed to my new language my settings is half translated.
Some options are translated to the new language but the most of them are still in english
Does anyone know how to change the settings completely in the new language?

Indeed go to the Samsung store they gonna flash it. Gonna give it a dry later today.
Just ask them what exactly they do. Check your firmware version before and after. Also check what software they use if you can
