I had this issue with siyah 3.3.3c/3.3.3d, with others - no problem anymore.

well another idea that may be - I guess your contacts are from google account, if you'll remove it (the account) and create it again (after that sync the contacts - it may take few minutes) maybe it will work...... just an idea.

In synopsis of a lay man - it removes all scripts or modifications left by the previous kernel, restoring all to default in order to flash a fresh kernel.
About time we get this on the GS2, I remember using kernal cleaning scripts on the GS1 and it did wonders..
Great to see this and thanks o.p..

Euhm this is a major improvement for me! I had alway worse batterylife then others here. I logged out of latitude, kept an eye on my wakelocks etc.
I also noticed that my top wastes of battery went to ANDROID-SYSTEM. Never exactly knew why.
I used many roms and many different kernels!!!
Since I used this and reflashed the kernel (speedmod or siyah v2.2i) Android system changed from 60% to 7% and 5%.
To all: try this and reflash and please report back!
Thanks for this script!

[Q] KA07 Rom issues (Hangouts and Maps)

Hi there~i'm new to xda so i cannot post in the development thread but only here.....
I'm using krabappel2548's KA rom, it really gd and fast and stable
i have two problems, when i use google+ hangouts, i see other's image ok and i see myself ok, but the other side (i.e. the ppl i'm talking to) told me that the color of my image is not correct......my face is blue; when i show him a blue object he saw orange;when i show him a pink object he saw blue.....anyone has similar problem?
the other is the map, the compass is not working. i read some threads in xda also stating similar problem, and it only happens in Google Maps 6.x but not 5.xx. Just want to know what is the origin of problem?
Hope it wont be too long...thanks so much!
just tried Skype, the situation is the same, just everything is green instead of blue......
Have tried to reflash the kernel? Sometimes it solves some problems..
Which kernel are you using?? Use NON OC kernel and test it..
Really strange Problem !
I just tried to reproduce it with my old X8, cause my only idea on this was that you installed a wrong localised Rom
(imo US Rom / Jap Rom instead of EU or something like this).
But didn´t get any similar display errors.
I would recommend starting up from the scratch, reinstalling Stock Kernel/rom.

[Q] Some Questions About MIUI...

I'm having FCs in some parts of the "Settings" like, changing volume, Display brightness..
Can I use any other kernel to under volt CPU ?. XXLPH kernel doesn't let me.. Keep in mind that, this is an ICS base & some people say that Siyah & Redpill kernel doesn't work on MIUI ICS ROM..
I'm not getting any updates through OTA "Updater". It checks for updates & nothing happens. There's a new version of MIUI 2.3.23, but can't update. Shows 2.3.16..
Any solutions for these ???
Thanks..

That's not going to do anything as it's a problem with the ROM.
Update to the latest Galnet version, I heard its fixed quite a few FC's.

I think it's the ROM's fault. Still, I'll try the procedure... Thanks...
What about a supported kernel for Undervolting & the OTA updater issue ???
1) Supported kernel for undervolting - ask Miui. Kernel makers aren't going to change their kernels purely to support Miui. Miui has to change the baseband they're currently using to work with the kernels.
2) OTA updater issue - Rom issue, refer to 1 (ask Miui).

You probably have an incompatible kernel.
When flashing Cyanogenmod, you have to flash boot.img inside the ROM zip.
For CM7.2 you can also flash Rage kernel
Try to re-flash if it doesn't work.
If you had Xkernel or MESA kernel version 1-1.4 before CM, you have to revert to stock wifi modules.

Many thanks for the module and getting me to think about the kernel, I suspect this was the problem. I did some research and used Flashtool (thank you Androxyde and Bin4ary) to flash Rage v.3.2 kernel. I thought I had trashed things for some time as phone would not even boot up. Eventually I pesisted with Fastbooting the phone and flashed the new kernel which has now given me back the WiFi and has got rid of my camera bug. A very big thanks.
i have same problem too . can someone reupload the file ? the file have been deleted .
