[q] how to create ftf file for gingerbread - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi,
I helped my friend ordered a Xperia s and its coming in today. How do I make a ftf file on the gingerbread that the phone originally shipped with?
I want to save the firmware that the phone ships with.

i checked th list and in list is my SI number as yesterday released but in PC companion i get message "you have last software"
we still have no update ! but NEO V has 4.0.4 update so on this week we should give a new update .
My Xperia Ray SI number listed on that table, but when I try to update using PC Companion, it tell me that my ray updated with the latest software.

are you using a custom rom? If yes then you need to downgrade to your original fw with the correct SI code

Hey, jj my SI nuber is not yet supported(or whatever it is called). Can I still use seus. An if i can how do i convert to an img or flf file. Btw can we get it if someone has updated . and then make a backup with cwm. Can we make a flf file from a cwm backup?
Maybe someone who is on GB can update to 4.0.4, seems like its not working when you´re on 4.0.3. My SI is also listed but I have custom ROM(also recognizes it as Arc S ) so it might block this updating.

use flashtool create ftf file, locate blob_fs folder in pcc directory (not very sure). and generate. put branding etc and firmware number.
extract kernel.sin from .ftf using 7zip. pass it to me.. want to check if its .562 sw or new one.

since update is given by batch. your si number determines whether the new update is being rolled out in your region, in your case you have to wait unless someone will post their ftf files.

I used your tutorial to create one successfuly. It is great.
But I doubt that its not Indian version. Cause my phone may be running on some other version. Is there any way to find what region firmware I m using ?

Does anybody have an O2 Xperia S rom?

I'd like to have the option to go back to it if I mess up the ICS or if something goes wrong with the phone.
I have a .ftf file for the .75 O2 ROM - its about 270Mb compressed with 7zip.
Si
UK O2 .75 ROM here - https://rapidshare.com/files/3787386955/Xperia_S__LT26__6.0.A.3.75_O2.zip - tested it on my phone last night before updating to ICS later

Bumpage. Does any one have a working download link please? I need to send mine back through insurance (screen).

[POLL] Which FTF you need?

Which FTF file you're looking for? I've got a little credit on my PayPal and going to do a flash with Wotan and upload the files here I will upload .62 (and .431 maybe later)
My main question which do you need better Customized Iberia or Customized Central Europe 3?

Have you ever successfully created .ftf from wotan files, and that phone is working after flashing that .ftf?

I know about that tutorial and I also know that people fail following it. Though I never tried it.
So before you spend your money on that first try to do that
Just an advice
Btw I believe those fw's can be made with PCC/SEUS, at least ics ones.
Anw, your money your choice

Neo ics update

Hi all. Idiot here. ive had a little look around and can't seem to find how to install ICS on my neo manually. the update for my neo should have come a while ago, but i am still on Gingerbread. Please someone point me in the right direction to get ICS please.
OH and am from UK, and my SI number says i should of got it a while ago. and i don't want to root or install new ROM JUST yet..
try with SEUS or Pc companion
if they dont update your phone your last solution is this
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239?tstart=0
If you want to flash ICS manually then it can be easily done through flashtool..
It doesn't require rooting your phone or unlocked bootloader..
Just refer to the thread..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690
This has the Neo ICS ftf file which you need to flash using flashtool!
The same thread has the link to flashtool also in case you don't about it!
