Check your HW revision number in About
If its 2.4 its a locked phone cannot flash this rom, since this is custom ROM.
The is no leak of 7.8 for Lumia 800. Only exist is firmware based on 7.8 for Lumia 710. You can use it on any Lumia 800 with unlocked bootloader and you can unclok every Lumia 800 using ATF Box (Advence Turbo Flasher)

I'm just wondering how to add my windows live account? It requires some kind of activation.

I took the plunge and install Qualcomm bootloader and installed RainbowMod ROM on my nokia lumia 710. I want to flash tango or to another custom rom. However my phone isnt being detected in NSS Pro although it comes up on Zune. Please help!

You also need NCS installed for the drivers (Nokia specific).

Im confused when I initially flashed the lumia about a month ago I just installed nokia care suite, x64 drivers, nss and zune
I have exactly the same problem. My phone isn't detected on NCS. My phone is already bootloader-unlocked, loaded with RainbowMod, and I also installed every driver that I could imagine.
Same here, I am on Lumiatrix 4.1 now, when i try NCS, it keeps telling me to go into bootloader mode and doesn't detect it. All drivers there AFAIK.

Well if it's really new, I don't think it's possibile cause the new devices have a dload bootloader...
I've been looking for an interop-unlock for my lumia for many months but nothing yet...
Have you still tried to connect to your pc to see if it has a qualcoom or dload bootloader?
Can you post your phone data?
Please if I'm wrong someone correct me...

You need to download NaviFirmEx_v1_6_1_en so you can pick which Lumia 710 firmware you want to install. You also need to download nokia care suit to install the firmware on to your lumia 710. Its very easy to do but it will reset your phone doing it this way.

I have a Lumia 920 BUILD 2012 version, and is briked because a faulty hard reset.
Anybody knows where I can find the original ROM (Version RM-820_nam_canada_246) or a unlocked replacement??
I have already flash the phone to an AT&T Version which has the internet sharing disabled...

nokia care suite or navifirm do not know the specific version you seek but if u had it it ill be there

Your developer edition 920 is the exact same model as the Rogers one.
Flash the Rogers Firmware, you should be fine, only negative thing is that you are gonna get the Rogers Logo on boot and a Rogers App in the phone which you can simply uninstall.
Once the developer edition clean firmware hits the servers, you can re-flash.
That's your only solution for now.

Did you figure this out? I have a developer edition 920, and want the Portico update, but am worried because the original firmware is still not on there, nor is the updated firmware. I thought about flashing to a Rogers firmware in order to get the update, but I'm worried it will simlock it (I use t-mobile USA). Thanks!

You aren't using that Dev phone to develop on, are you...
The Rogers firmware will not SIM lock your phone to Rogers. May I humbly suggest you do some light reading on how SIM locks work?
