i read that a bunch of other JB roms are behaving this way also , is there a JB rom that works better with no lag ? or maybe a way to solve this issue ?
None. Live with it or try AOSP rom or just wait for official JB firmware from Samsung.

I installed the last french Firmware and still lags (dialer, SMS and contacts).
I came back (nandroid backup) to ICS and there is no lag!

please specify which of the released official ICS ROM have you installed... there has been quite a few released for various regions...
have you done a clean install on the ROM or non-wipe one??
if you have done factory reset after the ICS ROM 4.0.3 it gets rid of quite a few issues..
i guess you mean the official facebook app....
try uninstalling the app...and then re-install...

I'm sorry before.
I've updated my XMP to ICS 4.0.4. I think the UI of ICS is not as good as GB.
- SMS (GB is more like crystal-clear, ICS just a solid color)
- detail contact (just flat view, very different with GB)
And there are many apps that crash (unfortunately closed) or not responding. I often pull out my battery to restart my phone.
When i set date and time, after i select date/time then click set, it always not responding.
Soooooo .... I decide to reverse it back to Gingerbread 2.3.4 :crying:
Is there any firmware of ICS that solve my problems above? or i should just wait the official update from SONY?

I think not because this problem is to ta related to compatibility of APIs app that still exist are not built to run on ICS. Bug on the time I do not know. But I see that ICS is not being high wattage. Because it causes the power consumption of application and hardware.

Try flush ROM v2.
I think its the best ROM available.
Believe me its good.
After installing just try face unlock option that's the only thing missing in that ROM.

Can't store contacts on phone only on gmail
Can't put my own ringtone for alarm
No touchwiz (assume its ROM related, when can I get touchwiz on s2 jb?

the ROM you are using is an AOSP based Rom.
Therefore, anything specific for Touchwiz will surely be missing.
There are alternatives though.
Next time, you need to do a small research before flashing a new ROM because these kind of questions are just .....
1. You can get latest Swype. PM me for that
2. Then sync your contacts with your Google account
3. You can set whatever ringtone you want for your alarm.
If you don't know how to do it, then download a third-party software for that.
4. Touchwiz is missing and will be missing. Were you sleeping when you flashed the Rom?
If want Touchwiz Jellybean, then wait till Samsung releases the official update. Probably in November.

Hi guys... I wondered if there is a way to replace the samsung stock browser apk with the aosp stock browser (typical of the nexus devices) and if so, is there any guide that can explain how? I recently flashed the ufficial fw 4.1.2 jb (exactly the XWLSD Stock JellyBean 4.1.2 Italia No Brand) and I would like to use the aosp browser ! Is there anyone that can help me ??
ps. I've just seen that there's a way to do this change, but the guide refers to galax s3 and I don't know if it's ok also for gs2 !

Doubt it. You're running stock which is Samsung base, AOSP use Google base so the APK's are not compatible with each other. If the AOSP browser is that important to you, run an AOSP rom.
Edit - Or....Dual boot maybe ? (Do your research).

I'm agree with you when you say that the stock is samsung base and so it can be incompatible with it, but if you take a look at the thread that I've posted (that one reffered to galaxy s3) it's seems to be possibile with a a stock jelly bean ! what do you think??

I must have tried a dozen .apks this morning, trying to find one that would install. This one worked perfectly. I now have an AOSP Browser on my 4.1.2 stock ROM.

hi, i just want help with my samsung Galaxy S2 I9100... For no reason the acelerometer and vibration of my phone stop working and it started to have software issues, if i am on stock JB 4.1.2 the lockscreen wake up takes like 10 seconds, and when im about to write someting or use the keyboard it freezes for like 10 seconds too, and then the keyboard appears, but this happen everytime i will use the keyboard. Why does this happen on stock JB but not on CM11, CM10.2 or stock ICS 4.0.3?
Note: I think acelerometer and vibration are hardware issues but i dont know why the keyboard freeze and wake up delay just happen on stock or stock based roms but not on CM11, CM10.2 and stock ICS 4.0.3? I already try to flash another stock JB rom from sammobile but the bug remains.
With the keyboard is a problem of rom....Try flash another rom..i recommended neatrom which this custom rom doenst have bugs...And also of your accelometer that smells hardware problem!

It's a software problem. Maybe the stock JB roms that you are flashing are defective or have been poorly made. Try neatrom v6.4 by sale, I don't have any issues so far

But i did try with fusion rom (s5 style) and the stock software from samsung wich comes with the phone preinstaled, i will give a try then, thanks..

Well, i just found that the software issues are caused by hardware issues, with a test i just doscovered that the vibratión doesn't work from hardware, and both acelerometer and ambient light sensor, so the system try to deal with it, wich causes the freezes and laggs with keyboard and lockscreen. How can i disable the three hardware components totally in stock Jb to avoid this freezes? I dont feel that vibration is hardly necesary for me. Thanks in advance.
