Is it because your trying to download an app off play which you already have had before?
If it is you need to delete the odex file. /data/app/

no i do not have the file before.....
You need to wipe the play store data and try again....application manager, play store, force stop, clear data, try again

Hi,
I have downloaded one app from Market, after downloading 100%, it automatically disappears..without installation...
Since, it was a huge file almost 23 MB, so it is very difficult for me to re-download.
Can any one tell me, where the downloaded file saved on Phone. So that I can go and install it.
Thanks.
Once downloaded it gets installed automatically afaik

I know dear..but in this case it was not..thats why I am asking, where it is located...on my cell..
If you're asking about the file it's in data>app, if you're talking about launching it it should be in the app drawer of whatever launcher you are using. If it's not installed in data/app there should be a problem.
Edit: if you downloaded but it didn't auto-install, it would have been stored in Dalvik cache but by now it should have been cleared from your system... just download it again over a wifi network, best solution.

Yes this was my issue..by the way what is location of that Dalvik folder..
Thx, found the file in data/cache and deleted it -> problem solved

It's in data/dalvik-cache. If there's not enough space in there your download will not even start.

Hi All,
Where in the phone are the downloaded files from apps store? Is it possible to transfer .apk to another location (dropbox) and install on another "machine"?
The apk's are in "/data/app".
However they might have some additional data in other folders (e.g. Polaris Office).

You can also find some in /system/app. Cheers.

They're in the cache folder but once you reboot they are gone

So I am running Cyanogenmod 10.1 and I want to manually update my Google Play store to 4.1.10 but every time I install the APK file I get ''Google play store could not be updated. Free up some space and try again'' Help??
Sounds like you don't have enough room in your system partition, cache could also be the culprit. Can you confirm you have enough room, and do you still have your market updater apk as the market should auto update.

I still have Market Updater and I have over 9 GB still in my internal storage
Internal storage differs from system partition and cache partition.
Try clearing market data and cache then open and close play store a few times

Can you confirm you have enough space in your system partition? Cache?
You can always just delete your current play store then push the new one in

Install busybox. If that doesn't work then you might try hard reset.

I did a factory reset, and also installed busy box,
for some apps like facebook, i can now install, but for google play store it still says invalid package file or google play book
Unlink all apps then uninstall linked2sd. Reboot then reinstall the apps that aren't working.
