In Market 3.1.5 there is a check box in settings for 'Google AdMob Ads'. Try deselecting.
Cheers,i've just unchecked it but this just suddenly started and that box was checked for a while,still you never know and i'll let you know outcome.

Cheers pal,but i'm not rooted.I want to root and might have to just to get rid of this problem but I don't feel like I know enough about rooting yet,you could say i'm on the fence with it.Any more suggestions ??

There is an app called Airpush detector. Airpush ads are a new thing mainly in the US afaik.
Dont know if you have to be rooted to use it though.
Yep,i've had airpush detector installed since day one.It has picked up on a few apps that were pushing and I deleted them leaving no data whatsoever with Astro.This is really pissing me of now.These ads have popped up on stock email app and today I unlocked lock screen and there was my home screen with an ad across the middle..They're also coming up on paid apps like power amp and handsent sms...They're always AdMob ads and yes,I did uncheck the box in market..AAARRR F**K...SOMEONE MUST BE ABLE TO HELP ME...PLEEEASE

Do you have any games installed that use Openfeint leaderboard ? I found some of them were loading Ads.
The only other thing I can suggest is remove your downloaded apps and restore one by one until you identify the one that is loading the Ads

How about using 3g watchdog to see what is downloading the adds, then just nuking that motherbitch?
I do and i'll check them out.As for your other suggestion ,I agree but rather than uninstall all of them in one go,i'll do them in batches of 5 starting with the least known ones....cheers pal

I took a quick look at 3g watchdog and the app is only for tracking your usage....data,mins,texts etc...thanks anyway.

For some reason, the RAM on my galaxy ace is always running at about 80 something even when I have auto memory manager set to aggressive, clean up ram after every minute and set the presets really high. After it clears up, some apps get automatically preloaded again.
Is there a way to control how much ram can stay consistent on the phone? It lags when the ram is running pretty low so I was wondering if there's a way to keep up a whole bunch of free ram.
I'm running my Ace on 2.3.5 stock rom rooted.
Try allinone script frm development section. It free's a hell lot of memory. It needs cf-root or cm7 to work.

If you don't like scripts try the Ram manager app by Juwes11, it helps maintain some free ram.
some apps cannot be killed/are persistent so don't bother killing those.

autostarts is a great app to prevent useless apps from restarting/starting in a certain situation. (e.g. when you start your phone/wifi etc.)
Used it for a few months and im very happy with it.
Wont it close the app when I start it up manually though? Have you had any errors with it?

when i bought SGA then i noticed first thing ram usage was high as there were most of bloatwares from samsung which were starting on there on...
rooted it on that day and removed them
now on CF-ROOT using allram script

for that you need to install CF-ROOT kernel which is pretty good..
look here
but if you are on locked device do confirm that it is safe or not to install kernel as it may make thing much worse..
if it is unlocked ace then feel free to install it right way..
if you are new to flashing this thing then there is complete guide for cf-root Here

I'm not sure. How can I tell if its unlocked? The boot animation from my phone company is gone was soon as I upgraded to 2.3. Do I need to switch it to a different company's simcard or something?

yeah if you can use phone with other service provider sim card then its unlocked one
and if you get some error or no network then mostly its locked

well about this i will not suggest anything as i have seen many people just ****ing up there phones with no success but some says it works....

Oh okay. I can't wait to give the whole ram thing a try though. About how much free do you have? Mines circles at around 70-90 and sometimes lower.

nonono xD For instance. When i start my wifi some apps automatically starts, and i dont want that (bec it would be a pain if my 5+ apps started everytime i did that).
And also, some apps starts when the phone turns on, even though they dont need to be started. If you manually start an app autostarts wont harm it.

My settings keep force closing on me whenever I try to click on something to get more information. For example when I went to motion and clicked the smart alert button to learn more it would freeze and then force close on me every time. Is anybody else experiencing this? I'm on stock rooted rom.
(Also the xda premium app force closes a lot too.. Just a side note.)

boot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache and that should fix it. Also, what rooted rom are you running?
I pretty much on stock rooted rom, it's actually Whitehawks debated stock rom. And all I did was flash that rom and use Robinsons aroma debloater full debloat. That was a long time back and then I just installed my regular market apps. The setting things I just noticed a couple days back. I didn't go into settings much. Gapps also frequently force closes too, I don't know what's causing it.
The xda force close is because I think something is wrong with the app. I saw reviews on play saying the same thing.
But yeah I didn't mess with freezing or un installing with tit bacmup.
I'll try and do the dalvik wipe and see what happens.

Tried doing the dalvik and cache wipe problem persists. The settings just force close when I learn more about smart alert and like try it and others like it, also on phone status. It just bugs me.

Ive had GT-I9300 model for several weeks now. Got it from Expansys. Didnt really notice this problem up until 1-2 weeks ago and its been happening alot throughout the day. I even tried factory reset and the problem is still present. Im talking about apps force closing alot. If im on facebook and im multi tasking or just using facebook app trying to view pics etc the app will lag and it will force close..sometimes this gets so bad that phone restarts on its own...it def. doesnt feel like quadcore at all.. the whole phone is just very slugish. What can I do here. Thinking about selling it and get gnex if this continues to happen without any solution.

If ur rooted try siyah kernel it make your phone pretty snappy but sucks more juice than the stock..

mind mentioning the app name that force closes.? try updating the apps to latest version or try different apps for the purpose.

So you would blame GSIII if rogue apps from market FC? You should even mention the app names as bala said and whether you have restored data? This kind of half baked question will never get a proper answer
If you search the forums properly you will find alot of threads with advices how to remove the said sluggishness from your s3 via turning off certain settings like s voice and also heed the previous poster's warning about rogue apps.
When i turned off alot of unnecessary settings the lag came off and i can listen to music while playing HD games while having my facebook on the background.
