Doomkernel is also good and all of here knows that.. its up to you buddy what will you use.. to compare two kernels and their differences.. go to their respective threads and read a lot there to know exactly what im referring to and why i chose thkernel as my kernel for stock based roms..
Im also using doomkernel for other roms such as my first rom.. in flashing stock based roms.. my first option as a kernel will be dooms oc version..

Before, I used this rom with Doom kernel but sometime the phone is freeze when it received a call
Another question please, on what kernel did you guys have the best feeling concerning battery life? i am on techdevil evolution with doomkernel, i am not much gaming, but star legends and call of mini zombies work perfectly.

Better yet, the OP could try underclocking. Nothing like running an Intel i7 at 386SX speeds. Global warming, eat your heart out!

The answers posted thus far are wrong.
I'm order to overclock you need to flash a custom kernel that supports it.
I recommend trying one of dooms kernels.
You then use set CPU to control the freq.
I would recommend leaving it around 1100 mhz, that is fine and won't harm your device at all.
You also will notice big performance gain but very little battery change!
I tried using CPU Manager.. SETCPU..But I cannot overclock my x10..
I flashed miui on my custom Wolf v6 rom..
Can someone guide me in this. I might be doing something wrong..
Pls help..

Like I just said you can't overclock the stock kernel!
Go to the dev forum and flash doomskernel for locked bootloaders!
Then you'll be able to overclock

yeah I'd love some suggestions aswell. I installed wolfbreak, but I don't have wifi, and some other minor errors... It's really fast, so I'm keeping it for now, but if I could find another rom wich is as fast and has wi-fi, that would rock.
I'm gonna try feralab JAF. should I use thkernel v12-4 instead of ferakernel?
should I flash rom first through xrecovery and then kernel via flash tool?
thanks all

You must flash WIFI module after you installed Wolfbreak ROM, it's depends of wich kernel you use. If you use Doomkernel you will find Wifi module in that tread...

Try JAF ROM or the Achotjan's and I am sure you will like it~
Donut hd 2.2.7 . Stable , fast, smooth , beautiful look and no bug/FC... and games also runs smooth on this rom.
Try this :

Or wait for DiXperia8 "eXtraordinary".
It'll be up in a week or so. It is XperiaS themed, I've tested it and I can say its the fastest XperiaS themed rom so far
For more info on DiXperia8 you can go to the following links :

Suggestion
If locked BL, try JAF Rom by FeraVolt with Thkernel
And for Unlocked BL, try Mokee ^^
Both really nice, happy flashing
I used almost all roms for Xperia X10 but FERALAB JAF ROM is the fastest and stable rom I ever used. Try it.

lol.. request in munjeni's thread.... and also do request him to make a oc kernel that works with stock based (.54 ics) also... he is a great dev...... but i sort of miss the oc in .54..........
V14 works perfectly on Stock FTF look my signatures but not working on any of the custom rom like yours.
Munjeni has indicated there may be some ZRAM issue but as he has lot of development in hos hand being a great developer and off course personal like so he is unable to spend time to support other custom rom.
Highest regards for him
Try V14 on stock. 54 and see the difference.
I would also request you for a workaround with guidance from munjeni bro
Let's wait for AOSP Rom from our beloved developer
Thanks

You should ask the developer of Ultimate Sola V2 Rom . His nickname is pulak861. Just ask in the same thread that you quoted in your post.

If you are not sure, then dont flash it.. it might brick your phone in worst case or cause bootloops.. experienced it myself..
Never ever do that.. you have xda.. ask the experts for the proper kernel.. its better to ask instead of the risk..
Hit thanks if it helped..

Best kernel/ROM threads aren't encouraged here. Everyone will have differing opinions and all kernels will offer something that maybe the others don't. Best way is to read the threads and learn about them and if the features are what you're after then flash them.
Thanks
