Ok,
Having a few issues and I have no idea how to fix them. I rooted my s2 using odin and siyah v6.05 and I have installed a ROM. I have followed all the instructions, wiped the cache etc and when I re boot I can't get past the start up screen. I had installed the ROM and it booted up fine but the home button, menu and back button didn't work so after some reading I believe this to have been a kernal issue? So I flashed a kernal that would fix it and it's now just stuck. I have re-flashed the previous kernal and it's the same.
Apologies if it's unclear as I'm rubbish at explaining stuff. I have rooted and flashed my HTC sensation and turned s-off sucesfully and it seemed a lot easier than this and I am led to believe this is an easier phone to root etc.
Any help is much appreciated. I'm fairly new to all this but have experience with linux and ms systems so if you can explain stuff I will pick it up easy.
Many thanks
Andrew

Hello.
I am not very expierienced with android and all that rooting stuff.
When i first got my phone i rooted it, just out of curiosity what you can do.
And then, yesterday i got this "virus" kinda thing.
I always had ads everywhere, i thought this must be coming from an app.
Then i open the App-Manager in ROM-Toolbox and see this new app i have never ever seen
"TouchWiz" i thought thats the "virus" so i deleted it.
Now i see this was an important file, and when i boot my android up i have a blackscreen.
I can though pull the black menu down, get into the options tab and open google and all that stuff.
I have Android 4.1.2.
I have a Galaxy SII-I9100
I have Kernel Version 3.0.31 [email protected] #k5-7
Factory Reset didnt work
How can i install the TouchWiz again?
Thank you in advance
And excuse my bad english, im not a native speaker
push
Okay... touch wiz is the default launcher for any samsung device it is no virus.. if you want to re install it you can:
Go on google play and download a new launcher since touchwiz is not a app that you can download on any device....

And if you don't you said that you can acces google right... so from google you go on google play and download a file manager ( like ES Explorer) and then you open the app from google play, search for the app with the file manager and install it

If you have a custom recovery this is the link for the flashable .zip file.... just put it in the extSDCard, boot your phone into recovery ( volume up + home button + power ) and select install zip... choose zip from... and select the file
